Abstract

This service aims to determine the use of oyster mushrooms for food needs as local wisdom for urban communities. The method used with an ethnographic approach is to describe in detail the oyster mushroom cultivation technique for the community in Kalidoni District, Palembang City. The process of cultivating oyster mushrooms from start to harvest takes about one month. Baglog from sawdust used can last for 7 months, then it must be replaced with new planting media. The time interval for the first harvest and the next harvest takes 2-3 days. Mushroom yields will be maximized if you regularly water three times in one day. Production of oyster mushrooms for one baglog media, can produce 0.5 kg to 1 kg of mushrooms. The mushroom harvesting system is carried out from the base of the stem because the remaining stems can rot. Harvesting is done every day or every few days depending on the distance from which the polybags are opened. The one baglog produces about 1 kg of mushrooms at a price of Rp.25,000 to Rp.30,000/kg.

Abstract

This research examinesStudent Knowledge About Drug Abuse Among Students of SMA Negeri 1 Pendopo Barat, Pendopo Barat District, Empat Lawang Regency.This study aims to obtain information about students' knowledge of drug abuse among students at SMA Negeri 1 Pendopo Barat, Pendopo Barat District, Empat Lawang Regency. The type of research used is quantitative without testing the hypothesis. And to collect information using the saturated sample technique by giving questionnaires to 93 students of SMA Negeri 1 Pendopo Barat, Pendopo Barat District, Empat Lawang Regency.The results of this study explain that the 6 (six) sub-indicators that exist with the average percentage per sub-indicator are impaired brain function and normal development, the results are yes to know (very good), intoxication (poisoning) is yes to know results ( very good), it is difficult to control oneself there are results of not knowing at all (not good), health problems have results of yes knowing (very good), negative attitudes in society have results of not knowing (quite good) and weak education there are results of yes knowing ( very good). Thus, the results of the analysis of all the research sub-indicators showed good results, and only one indicator, namely the difficulty of controlling oneself which was not good. This shows that the students of SMA Negeri 1 Pendopo Barat, Pendopo Barat District, Empat Lawang Regency, have known the dangers of drug use.

Abstract

Culture is a knowledge system that includes a system of ideas contained in the human mind, so that in everyday life culture is abstract. The wedding procession with sacrifice, the slaughter of a scapegoat for the people of Pusar Village is one of the traditions owned by the people of Pusar Village, Baturaja District. The approach used in the meaning of verbal and nonverbal communication in a series of marriage processions with sacrifices, the slaughter of scapegoats uses symbolic interaction theory, symbolic interaction theory holds that individuals form the same meaning through communication. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. In collecting data, conducting in-depth interviews (Depth Interview) to key informants, the selected informants are people who are considered to know and understand the problems studied. The results of the analysis in this study are marriage processions with sacrifices, slaughtering scapegoats in Pusar Village there are forms of verbal communication and nonverbal communication contained in every series of marriage processions with sacrifices, slaughtering scapegoats including prayer. The prayer delivered by the traditional leader and followed by the family holding a wedding ceremony aims to request permission to hold a wedding ceremony and share happiness with the ancestors. After taking turns praying, the family waters the graves of their ancestors with the water that has been provided. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that in every series of wedding processions with sacrifices, the slaughter of a scapegoat has a meaning that has been believed by the people of Pusar Village itself. It is hoped that the people of OKU Regency can participate in preserving the existing culture and arts. Especially in the cultural arts of the wedding procession with sacrifice, the slaughter of this scapegoat.
