Abstract

This research is aim to discover the impact of corporate governance and capital structure on profitability. Corporate governance consists of board size, ownership concentration and board’s financial expertise, while capital structure consist of debt to assets ratio (DAR). With these variables, observation was made on infrastructure companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. A purposive sampling was carried out on 11 companies within a research period of 2014-2021, which amounts to 88 observations. The results of the research using panel data regression show that ownership concentration, board’s financial expertise and debt to assets ratio have a significant impact on profitability. On the other hand, board size does not have significant impact on profitability of infrastructure sector companies.

Abstract

The development of investment in Indonesia has increased rapidly over the past few years. One of the key factors affecting stock traders' trading behavior is information. Information that was previously difficult to obtain by investors became easily obtained due to technological developments. In addition to information, the characteristics of traders also influence their trading behavior. The population used in this study is the entire citizen of Surabaya, and the sample of this study is stock traders who have a minimum of 1-year trading experience. Data analysis is done by using Partial Least Square with Smart PLS 3.0. The result of this study is that information has a significant effect on trading behavior, while neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness do not moderate the effect of information on trading behavior significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy and demographics on the saving behavior of the millennial generation in Kupang City. This research was conducted by distributing online questionnaires and face-to-face to the millennial generation in Kupang City. In this study, as many as 100 respondents were used. The researcher used dummy variable regression. The results of the analysis show that financial literacy, dummy income 2 and 3, education level, age, and gender do not have a significant effect on the saving behavior of the millennial generation in Kupang City. Dummy income 1 has a significant effect on the saving behavior of the millennial generation in Kupang City.
