Abstract

The reality of adolescent moral decadence in the current era is a serious problem that must be addressed immediately. In general, many problems are caused by a lack of character building. Because of that, character education is very important to be instilled. The role of schools as formal educational institutions is needed to continue to build the character from an early age through the application of good and quality character education and proper management. The purpose of this study was to find out how character education was applied at MTsN Meureubo Aceh Barat. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this research are stakeholders at MTsN Meureubo. The results of this study indicate that the process of implementing character education at MTsN Meureubo is carried out with four alternative strategies including being integrated into all subjects, into daily activities, into school programs, and building communication with parents of students.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the answers about inculcating Islamic education values through a mentoring model in the student activity unit (SAU) of spirituality. This study applied a qualitative approach with key informants referring to the student members of the spirituality SAU at IAIN Curup in the academic year of 2019/2020. Data collection was carried out by observation and in-depth interviews, and the analysis was further carried out using the Miles’ et al. approach composed of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study drew a conclusion that: The process of inculcating Islamic educational values carried out in the spirituality SAU by means of mentoring started from the opening, core activities, closing, and evaluation stages. The values of Islamic education instilled extended to faith, worship, and morals realized from various activities or programs existing in the spirituality SAU, such as Silaturahim, ifthor jama'i, rihlah or tadabbur of nature and visitation of figures.

Abstract

Dayah BULISC is a new educational institution in the West Aceh region, but in a short time, the Dayah has been able to establish itself as one of the institutions that are in demand by the community. This fact is then interested to be investigated. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and document searches. The results of the study show that Dayah BULISC has been able to apply the marketing mix (product, people, price, promotion, place, physical evidence, process) well in building the quality of institutions while increasing inter-institutional competitiveness. This can be seen. The product chosen by Dayah BULISC with the flagship program is the Tahfizul Quran. Dayah BULISC  has good resources and is supported by cheap and affordable tuition fees for the community. The location of Dayah is also very strategic with the condition of the building being quite good and complete in supporting the learning carried out. Dayah BULISC also conducts promotions using several media including social media so that messages about the conditions and programs that are carried out by Dayah can be conveyed in full to the community

Abstract

This study aims to determine the behavioral tendencies of hyperactive students in State Islamic Elementary School 3 of West Aceh and how the homeroom teacher manages hyperactive students in MIN 3 West Aceh. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. Observations, interviews, and documentation were employed as data gathering strategies. This investigation was carried out at State Islamic Elementary School 3 of West Aceh. This study involved one principal of State Islamic Elementary School 3 of West Aceh and two homeroom teachers who teach hyperactive students. Based on the study's findings, it is apparent that the hyperactive students of MIN 3 Aceh Barat exhibit motor and mixed hyperactivity with a combination type. The homeroom activities for dealing with hyperactive students consist of (1) arranging seats, (2) issuing warnings, (3) providing hyperactive students with guidance, and (4) building a madrasa setting appropriate to the growth of hyperactive students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of revitalizing the leadership of madrasah principals in improving the quality of education units in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in the West Aceh Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach to revealing the factual conditions of the revitalization of madrasah leadership in improving the quality of education. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and document studies on reports of madrasa activities. Data analysis techniques for research results are carried out by interpreting and designing action plans on research results. The results show that the head of MTs West Aceh has not optimally improved the quality of functions in revitalizing the synergy and harmony among teachers and employees in improving the quality of education units, revitalizing processes, tools, and learning media in improving the quality of education units and revitalizing the participation of the community and government in improving quality. Education units in madrasas. The implication of the less than the optimal revitalization of madrasah leadership has resulted in a decline in the quality of the learning process and the quality of educational outcomes in madrasas.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 West Aceh is one of the most favorite madrasas in West Aceh. Of course, this cannot be separated from the role of public relations which has done various things in promoting MAN 1 Aceh Barat. Public relations plays a vital role in the process of providing education. This paper aims to determine the role of Public Relations in increasing the competitiveness of MAN 1 Aceh Barat. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the head of the madrasa, 1 waka from the public relations department, and 6 madrasa teachers at MAN 1 Aceh Barat. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Activities in data analysis include the stages of reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Public Relations of MAN 1 Aceh Barat has an essential role in increasing the competitiveness of madrasas. The role of public relations is carried out in two forms, namely 1) fostering internal relations with school residents by maintaining friendship and cooperation between fellow school communities and 2) fostering external relations for madrasas by maintaining relationships with outside communities such as collaborating in the fields of education, health, security, finance and make visits to schools.

Abstract

The management of education units needs the human skills of madrasah principal leadership in organizing, mobilizing, and motivating human resources (HR). The purpose of this study was to assess madrasah leadership's human capability in managing human resources at a senior high school in West Aceh. This study used a qualitative method with an interactive naturalistic approach in analyzing the human skill capability of the madrasah principal in managing human resources. Data collection methods were through observation, structured interviews and document studies on reports of intra and extracurricular activities in madrasah. The results showed that the human skill capability of the madrasah principal leadership in managing human resources was well categorized, except for some aspects that were still weak and needed to be improved. First, the capability to cooperate included assisting and helping others, providing opportunities for innovation, and taking policies that benefited the madrasah apparatus. Second, the capabilities to build solid teamwork, including harmonious working relationships, maintaining mutual manners and rules, and smooth communication .Third, the capability to be empathetic included maintaining mutual feelings, being calm and comfortable, and building a bright future.
