Abstract

Home industry is a perpetrator of economic activities carried out at home, family, or one of the family members who live in their homes by inviting several people who are nearby as employees. One area that has a home industry is in Kenagarian Andaleh, Batipuh Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province. Home industry is managed in the form of a traditional food named Aluo Cake and Randang Karambia which is produced by the local community. Both of these cakes in terms of taste are very tasty and unique. After conducting a field survey several problems were found, namely the limited ability of human resources in processing the results of existing businesses and home industries not ready to make business plans in accordance with market needs. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide understanding and knowledge to home industry players to increase community income through KSM (self-help groups) in terms of processing business results and making business plans in accordance with market needs, so that in the future it is hoped that this home industry will be able and can develop business results both nationally and internationally. This activity lasted for 3 (three) days with lecture method, brainstorming, discussion and direct practice to the field with 15 (fifteen) participants of home industry. The results of this activity are 1). Participants can understand the basic concepts of entrepreneurship about the importance of making business plans and developing business results to last long in the market, 2). Participants are able to change the form of packaging to be more attractive at competitive prices on the market, 3). actively following IT developments so they can market their products to a wider area with maximum results.

Abstract

The lack of public knowledge about the denture, especially in terms of the maintenance ofthe denture is not entirely the fault of the people themselves, but rather the lack of informationabout the maintenance of the denture, so many people who do not understand the importanceof the maintenance of the denture and the condition of the denture in use, denture very helpfulto health such as to improve the aesthetics of the teeth. For treatment we need beberapahalsuch as cleaning, maintaining and see the condition of the denture, and how to clean it and putit in a place such as in a glass of water, so that the denture is not easily damaged andconvenient to be used again.This type of research is descriptive which aims to determine the maintenance of the dentureand the condition of artificial teeth in patients, using questionnaires, data management is doneby a simple analysis through univariate analysis.Results showed that the level of knowledge denture maintenance, of the 30 respondentsare 12 people (40%) of respondents who have a high level of maintenance, and 17 (56.67%) ofrespondents who have a moderate level of maintenance and one person (3.33%) respondentswho have a low level of maintenance. Suggested to people who wear dentures, denture thatneeds to be preserved, as beneficial to the health of your teeth and mouth. In the use of denturerequires knowledge and care better.ABSTRAK

Abstract

Jengkol is a plant native to the tropics that is often found throughout Indonesia. Jengkol plants are woody shrubs with an average height of up to 20 meters and can live in the highlands and lowlands with brown and round fruit. Sido Makmur Village is one of the villages producing the best quality jengkol plants, which is well known outside the Mentawai Islands Regency, because it tastes good but does not smell. Every jengkol season in Sido Makmur Village, you will find jengkol fruit scattered on the side of the road because jengkol fruit is only consumed for daily side dishes and as a barrier to the house yard and is not utilized optimally. Seeing this condition, it is necessary to process jengkol fruit so that it is useful and efficient and can increase the income of the local community. The purpose of this activity is to provide the understanding and increase public knowledge as business actors of jengkol fruit about the procedures for its management and marketing methods using TTG (Appropriate Technology), such as; Market Place, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, and Instagram so that the results can increase people's income. In this activity, the method used is the lecture method and brainstorming by explaining and explaining training materials about the benefits of the jengkol plant and the processing procedures, as well as exchanging ideas and experiences between the resource persons and participants so that they can produce various kinds of culinary versions of jengkol fruit such as jengkol crackers, jengkol satay. , jengkol rendang, and jengkol nuggets. This activity was carried out in the Sido Makmur Village office hall, which was attended by 15 (fifteen) participants who were members of 3 (three) hamlets. The results of this activity are 1). Participants can understand the benefits of processing jengkol fruit, 2). Participants can process jengkol fruit into several types of culinary products such as jengkol crackers, jengkol satay, jengkol rendang, and jengkol nuggets, 3). Participants are inquisitive about the development of Appropriate Technology, so they can market jengkol fruit production outside the Mentawai Islands Regency, namely Padang City.
