Abstract

The goal of this research is to know the process of making Pop-up book theory Dalhadhamma Jātaka as lesson media for Early Childhood Education Programs. This research used the research and development methods in four-levels. Based on the research and discussion which have been done, the making of pop-up book theory Dalhadhamma Jātaka consists of steps as follows: (a) analysis, in this step observation and interview were done to state that the teacher needed innovative and interactive lesson media basic on three dimensions to reach developmental aspects. (b) design, the steps were done to determine the theory of story, and moral value to be delivered, and the script composing to be understood by early childhood. (c) development, at this step the researcher, made the illustration corresponding to the storyline by using many techniques on making Pop-up. The product resulting from this process was the two-book series contained being thankful and loving animal's moral value, (d) implementation, the researcher conducted limited trials to thirteen kindergarten students and four kindergarten Buddhist teachers in Semarang Regency (e) evaluation, the evaluation of the product was done in the form of suggestion in the sense of quality product improvement so that it can be long-lasting.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in improving the quality of learning of Buddhist Junior High School students at the District of Getasan. This research uses a qualitative phenomenological method. The subject of this research is the role of parents. The object under this study is the improvement of the quality of learning of Buddhist students. The techniques and the data collection instruments used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The data obtained was tested for its validity using continuous observation, triangulation, and member check. The data analysis was based on the Miles & Huberman model which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding, as well as verification. The results of this study include three aspects, namely (1) the form of parental roles, namely attention, caring, and motivating; (2) the impact of parents' attention becomes the spirit of learning, especially learning motivation, enthusiasm in achieving goals, and increasing self-confidence; (3) the meaning of attention from parents for children, that is, gratefulness and become better.

Abstract

This research was done for media education purposing alike card which Buddha Gautama life story material. This media was made for easily teaching and learning activity students more easily to understanding the material. This research kind is a research and development method using the ADDIE. With process details: 1) analysis, start from face studying, need analysis, and material analysis; 2) design: i.e decision the kind of card, making card design, and choose the materials; 3) development, i.e: making card component using Corel Draw application, testing the product to the members of material and members of media; 4) implementation, i.e: testing the product with limited access to the students of primary school; and evaluation, i.e: grading the product after testing. The development product had to validate by members of the material and members of the media. The percentage of media experts is 70,83 % which shows that the developing media is feasible to be applied as a learning media. Then the percentage of material experts is 86,11% means that the material on the product is proper for students. Based on this research, the writer gets the conclusion that Historical of the Buddha card from material and media is proper to use as media education

Abstract

This study aims to explain the process of creating a google sites website to produce an online learning media that will help BME learning activities at the junior high school level. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. Data credibility was assessed by transferability, dependability, confirmability, and logical validity. Data analysis techniques used for qualitative data are reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive percentage theory. The product validation from the material experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 91.1% and from the website, the media expert obtained a feasibility percentage of 71.8%. The results of the user trial, namely the BME teachers and five Buddhist class VIII students also gave good responses to the product developed. The BME teachers conveyed that the learning media products based on the google sites were very effective. Some students also gave positive responses, that this learning media is quite interesting and more interactive.
