Abstract

The rest of the construction material is common occurs in building construction project work, the presence of residual construction materials is unavoidable on construction project work, waste materials construction is also called construction waste can have a negative impact on the environment building construction projects, be it work demolition, renovation, or work related to building construction, research This method uses the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method. to analyze the cause of the remaining material occur. As for the type of material being researched, it is brick red, sand, cement, concrete, D16 reinforcing steel, and iron reinforcement 10. The results of the calculation of the cost of the remaining materials red brick Rp. 402,600, sand Rp. 3,137,600, cement Rp. 179.200, concrete Rp. 4,304,325, D16 steel reinforcement Rp. 22,459,110, and reinforcing steel 10 Rp. 3,886,613, from As a result, the largest residual material cost is iron reinforcement D12 and the smallest residual material cost is red brick materials.

Abstract

As the demand for housing increases, building construction ignore the adverse implication exposed to the environment. The objective of the study was to analyze the performance of the ongoing construction projects implementing the green construction concept. The tool applied was the Green Construction Site Index (GCSI) to assess five construction projects categorizing into three groups or specifications (uncommercialized, non-residential building; commercial, residential building; and commercial, non-residential building). The index of efficiency, productivity, and awareness upon three types of buildings was 4.06, 4.49, and 4.31 respectively. Meanwhile, the overall index obtained by the construction project type I, II, and III was 4.07, 4.33, and 4.35 respectively. The tool might be considered an opportunity to contractors; although, further investigation on its application in other types of buildings is needed.

Abstract

Global warming arises due to environmental damage that coincides with one of the causes of building construction projects. Hence, green construction is a solution to minimize the negative impact of development construction projects. This study aims to determine the application of green construction in the Jragung dam, Semarang construction project. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire survey of respondents from 50 workers from 5 companies (contractors) involved in the construction of the Jragung dam, Semarang. Data analysis was carried out using statistical descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that in the Jragung dam construction project, Semarang, the contractors as the executors and persons in charge of the project had applied the green construction concept even though it has yet to be maximized. The application of green construction based on six assessment indicators has a percentage of 53%-98%. PT Wijaya Karya is a project contractor who has implemented Green construction with the highest percentage of 81%, followed by PT Wijaya Karya. Waskita Karya (79%) and PT Brantas Abipraya (77%), while the other two contractors are PT Pelita Nusa Perkasa (68%) and PT Basuki Rahmanta Putra (66%) is ranked in the bottom 2 in applying green construction in the Jragung dam construction project, Semarang.
