Abstract

The Indonesian government conducted a household fuel conversion program in 2007 using LPG as a substitute for kerosene. LPG gas is the most widely used energy source for the people of Indonesia. Currently the quality of LPG gas cylinders tends to decrease. This quality degradation can occur due to lack of supervision during the production process, especially in the quality control process, so the use of LPG is quite dangerous with the potential to cause an explosion to fire. The aim of this research is to design and build a prototype of a gas and fire leak detection system using Arduino. The method used in this research is the prototype development method with the stages of listening to problems and customer needs, building a prototype, then the customer sees the prototype and tests it. The results of this study are tools that can detect LPG and fire gas leaks using an arduino microcontroller that can be accessed using a smartphone with an average response time to detect a fire of 4.43 seconds while to detect a gas of 4.18 seconds.

Abstract

The hospital is a center of health services for people who are required to perform their duties and functions better and improve the quality and comfort in the services provided, the hospital is also required to follow technological developments to improve existing performance. IT services used are expected to be able to support and fulfill the purpose of RSIA Bunda Arif so as to determine alignment and service for IT implementation, an evaluation is needed to assess whether the existing services are in line with organizational goals or not, given that information technology investments are not cheap. In this study, the framework that will be used in the evaluation of information technology services is to use the Information Technology Infrastructure Library Version 3 framework with the domain service operation. The results of the measurement of maturity level at RSIA Bunda Arif were carried out by giving questionnaires related to the chosen domain to 10 respondents, the value of the statement made based on the Likert scale. The results of the maturity level values ??obtained for each process are event management getting level 3, incident management getting level 2, problem management getting level 2, requesting fullfilment getting level 3, and access management getting level 4

Abstract

The problem that occurs in the research entitled "Information System for Website-Based Student Attendance Information System Using Auto Generated QR Code (Case Study: SMK Bakti Purwokerto)" is that the attendance system currently running still applies the conventional system, namely by entering the attendance data from physical files into in digital files using the Microsoft Excel application. Then the difficulty of the teacher in carrying out attendance records is still inaccurate, because the picket officers only take the absent paper once a day in the morning during the first lesson. So that if there are students who skip school hours after attendance, they are still recorded as attending the teacher's recapitulation. The purpose of the research carried out by researchers was to build a website-based student attendance information system using an auto-generated QR Code at SMK Bakti Purwokerto in order to help school officers, especially for Student and Teachers, in the attendance process and recapitulation to be more accurate and efficient. The system development method used is the waterfall method using system design tools such as DFD and ERD. The results of this study are in the form of a website-based student attendance system using an auto-generated QR code, as for the calculation of the system testing using a Likert scale as a support to the questionnaire which shows the results of 84.14% in the very good category.

Abstract

The ability to read, in this case is the ability to understand English-language texts (reading comprehension), is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in a college. This relates to their academic activities that require them to struggle to find sources to support lecture activities. The number of reference sources is present in the form of articles, books, journals and proceedings which are often written in English. Interviews were conducted with several students of University of AMIKOM Purwokerto, Department of Informatics, finding out how to overcome the problem, and trying to provide alternative improvements. To overcome the difficulties experienced by students in reading English texts are by discussing a method of learning reading comprehension. This research is a descriptive study, which describes the facts of difficulties experienced by students in the difficulty of understanding the English text. The instrument used in data collection was a matter of English text. In this study, data analysis used consisted of three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and completing conclusions or verification.

Abstract

One of the difficult parts of learning the target language for English language learners is the acquisition of vocabulary. Most learners find that English is a hard subject to be studied. However, they can enjoy learning English when it is taught in a fun way. Using games for teaching vocabulary has been very popular for several decades. Different studies revealed that games are beneficial in vocabulary learning because they enhance students’ ability to memorize words, encourage student’s interaction, improve their communicative skills and enhance students’ motivation. Games also can help the teachers to create contexts in which the language is useful and meaningful. Watching a movie is also a great way to learn English. Learners can improve their vocabulary while watching a film. Total Physical Response method can also be applied when teaching English for children. This method makes language skills more quickly understood and understood by children the use of functional English like "Show and tell". Fun English learning activities (over English learning) was done this time, considering how enthusiastic the children in Taman Baca Kudi Dusun Cunil Pegalongan village Banyumas in every activity given. This English learning activity also aims to provide English introduction materials early so that they will be accustomed to facing all things related to the English language.

Abstract

Dealing with academic activities, students at universities must have skill in writing. However, many students, when going to quote from English reference sources, just copy without paraphrasing first which will result in a high level of plagiarism. Interviews and questionnaires conducted with several students of University of Amikom Purwokerto, class 2018 Informatics study program showed the difficulties they experienced when they wanted to make English sentences. This study aims to describe the difficulty of writing English sentences for students of the Informatics study program, to find out the causes of these errors, and to try to provide alternative solutions to overcome the difficulties faced by students in making English sentences by designing a writing learning method for an effective sentence. This research is a descriptive study, which describes in fact the difficulties experienced by students in understanding English texts. The instrument used in data collection was the English text questions. In this study, the data analysis used consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that some problems faced by Amikom students in writing English sentences were repeating the words, repeating the phrases, repeating the clauses, and using verbose/wordy sentences. Thus, the writing learning methods were designed, namely: sentence combining, learning techniques to combine sentences, they are compounding, compounding sentence elements, subordinating one clause to another, using appositives to connect ideas, using participial phrases to connect ideas, using absolute phrases to connect ideas.
