Abstract

This study uses the theory of Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) using a quantitative approach. Sampling using non-probability sampling method, using purposive sampling technique. Respondents in this study were 200 respondents in the purchase intention category in the High Involvement product and also 200 in the Low Involvement product category. The analysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that browsing activities on Instagram for both the High and Low Involvement categories of the product had a positive influence on flow conditions, online trust, and purchase intentions. Then online trust in an account on Instagram has a positive influence on flow conditions. Likewise, the flow condition variable and online trust also have an influence on the purchase intention of the latest items on Instagram. There is no difference in consumer behavior towards purchase intentions in the online domain between High and Low Involvement products.

Abstract

Popularitas Instagram yang pada awal peluncurannya merupakan sosial media untuk berbagi foto dan video, pada saat ini bertransformasi menjadi salah satu media pemasaran yang potensial. Pesatnya perkembangan M-Commerce membuat Instagram menjadi sosial media favorit bagi para pemasar untuk menstimuli perilaku konsumen. Selain untuk berbagi foto dan video, pengguna instagram memanfaatkannya untuk mencari informasi tentang suatu produk dari akun yang mereka ikuti. Perasaan menyenangkan yang didapat membuat mereka menghabiskan waktu lama,dan mereka mendapatkan informasi yang membuat mereka percaya terhadap akun tersebut dan menstimuli terjadinya niat pembelian pada produk yang di posting akun yang mereka ikuti. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) dan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan metode non-probability sampling, menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 200 responden. Teknik Analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktifitas browsing pada Instagram memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kondisi flow, kepercayaan online, dan niat pembelian. Kemudian kepercayaan online pada akun di Instagram memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kondisi flow. Demikian juga dengan variabel kondisi flow dan kepercayaan online juga memiliki pengaruh terhadap niat pembelian barang-barang terbaru di Instagram.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to discuss the influence of Brand Awareness, word of mouth, and the perception of the tendency towards GIVI purchase intention in Surabaya. This research is a quantitative research with survey method. Sources of data obtained from questionnaires collected with a Likert scale and the results were analyzed by multiple linear regression methods. The results of the study prove that brand awareness gets 2,050 tcts supported by the significance of 0,044 (p <0,05) Word of mouth gets t count 2,064 supported by the significance of 0,043 (p <0,05) so that word of mouth has a significant effect on purchase intention. The perception of risk gets t count of -3.018 supported by significance of 0.004 (p <0.05) Brand awareness, word of mouth, and risk perceptions have the same significance for purchasing compatibility because the Fcount is 52.255 with a significant value of 0.000 (p <0 05). The R square coefficient is 0.714 then the variation of changes that occur in the dependent variable 71.4% which can be accessed jointly by the independent variable and the remaining 28.6% by other variables outside the three independent variables used in this study.

Abstract

The tourism industry is a growing industry where hospitality is an essential business that provides accommodation for tourists. However, in early 2020 there was a COVID-19 pandemic that affected the crisis in the tourism industry. The decline in the number of tourists and the limited tourism activities lead to a decrease in consumer buying interest and here also the role of the marketing communication department as a department that promotes and is a liaison between hotels and consumers. The role of marketing communication in increasing the buying interest of prospective consumers is one of the factors that has an impact because of the activities of the department that exchange information with potential customers. This study aims to determine the promotion and adaptation activities carried out by the marketing communication of the Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers in facing a crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods where the data were analyzed first then arranged and explained with certain statements in the form of written or oral words from an informant and observing the place under study. The results of the study show that marketing communication department of the Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers is adapting to crisis management and using soft selling while planning steps to be taken after the crisis has passed. Marketing communication activities also help to maintain the buying interest of potential customers. The results also show that the use of promotion through social media is more flexible in various conditions.

Abstract

Generasi muda perlu ditingkatkan pola pikir dan kemampuannya dalam wirausaha. Apalagi dalam menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dalam pemberian materi di kelas. Pelaksanaan ini membawa dampak penguatan pola pikir wirausaha di kalangan generasi milineal. Ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan animo siswa untuk berwirausaha sejak dini. Siswa juga mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan di bidang wirausaha. Dengan demikian siswa dapat mempraktikan ilmu mereka. Siswa yang tergabung pada kegiatan ini juga menginginkan adanya pemantauan, pembinaan dan pengawasan serta evaluasi dari kegiatan yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Di industri perhotelan Front Office Departemen sangat berperan penting dalam menunjang kelancaran operasional hotel, front office merupakan cerminanan terbentuknya citra baik atau buruknya hotel dimata para tamu melalui pelayanan yang diberikan. Sebagai salah satu divisi yang ada di front office, concierge memiliki tanggung jawab terhadap pelayanan kepada tamu mulai pada saat tamu datang hingga keberangkatan tamu dari Hotel. Untuk menunjang keberhasilan dalam melayani tamu tersebut, diperlukan adanya standar pelayanan atau SOP dan strategi-strategi yang harus dilakukan oleh ConciergeSection sebagai upaya untuk memastikan kepuasan tamu di Hotel Shangril-La Surabaya, karena kepuasan tamu merupakan tolak ukur dari keberhasilan kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan suatu hotel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi concierge dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pada Hotel Shangri-La Surabaya sehingga akan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan tamu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan cara analisis data secara deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan observasi secara langsung, wawancara kepada staffconcierge Hotel Shangri-La Surabaya, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penilitian menunjukan bahwa usaha concierge dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelyanan di Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya sudah cukup baik dengan menjalankan tugas sesuai prosedur kemudian strategi yang dilakukan oleh ConciergeSection Hotel Shangril-La Surabaya sudah memenuhi kualitas pelayanan pada tamu dengan mengimplementasikan indikator-indikator kepuasan tamu.

Abstract

Background: Social media, in the form of chatting platforms such as WhatsApp and various other social media widely used by Generation Y today, can help to increase literacy and information dissemination in a rural village. With the involvement and contribution of Generation Y, social media has what it takes to improve literacy among people in rural areas, allowing them to obtain information as fast and as precisely as the urban communities do while also making advancements to the area itself. Objective: This study attempts to investigate the use of social media in increasing literacy in eight villages on Madura Island. Method: This study uses a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Results: The results show that there are still several problems caused by the use of social media among generation Y in making decisions, taking action, behaving, communicating, and socializing. Another issue is that, generally, Generation Y tends to disseminate information directly without checking its veracity. Conclusion: The lack of digital literacy worries many people because it causes the spread of disinformation that threatens the bond of kinship and disperses national unity. Therefore, there is a need for education on how to use social media healthily, provision of rural village and city-level libraries, and the need for attention from clerics, parents, and the government.
