Abstract

ABSTRACT The negative stigma received by HIV positive people is very influential in life. HIV positive people are considered as people who have violated immoral norms in society. HIV positive patients will usually get social sanctions in the form of exclusion, gossip, ridicule, avoided, and even expelled from the community environment. Negative stigma received by HIV positive people not only from the community environment, but there is also a stigma that comes from the family. The form of stigma in the form of discrimination to HIV positive people from family like do not want to eat together, do not want to handshake, do not want to sleep together even do not want to consider family again.This study used qualitative method with phenomenology approach. This study explored the experiences of HIV positive people who get negative stigma from family and society. Participants in this study as many as 5 people. Technique of taking data from informant by using in-depth interview on each participant.This research produces three themes that have been gained from the in-depth interviews. The theme is getting negative stigma from family and society, hiding health status, withdrawing.Factors of the theme found are a description of the effect of negative stigma on HIV positive patients. It is hoped that further research development will improve in the questionnaire to see howfar the negative stigma in HIV positive people is affected.   Keywords: Stigma, and HIV positive

Abstract

Abstract Patients with diabetes mellitus must follow a strict diet to control blood sugar levels to keep them within normal limits. If it is not controlled, it will cause various diseases which will be caused by visual disturbances, cataracts, heart problems, impaired kidney function, sexual impotence, difficulty in healing wounds or even rot/gangrene, lung infections, vascular disorders, and strokes. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect dietary compliance in diabetes mellitus sufferers. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. This study explores the experiences of people with diabetes mellitus when they are on a diet. The participants in this study were 10 people. The technique of collecting data was by conducting in-depth interviews so that the results were 3 themes, namely lack of knowledge about diet, lack of family support, and difficulty in adhering to a diet. The importance of support and motivation from family and health workers for diabetes mellitus sufferers to always adhere to a diet to avoid various complications. Abstract

Imogene M. King mengemukakan teorinya bahwa manusia memiliki tiga bagian dalam kehidupannya yaitu interaksi sistem personal, interpesonal, dan sosial yg membentuk hubungan individu dengan individu lain untuk mempertahankan adaptasi positif terhadap lingkungannya. Sub pokok sistem interpersonal meliputi komunikasi, interaksi yang mana proses ini melibatkan hubungan timbal balik antara individu satu dengan individu yang lain sehingga terbentuk sebuah transaksi. Penderita HIV sering mendapatkan stigma negatif, stigma yang ada di masyarakat menghalangi ODHA dalam berinteraksi sosial, sehingga ODHA cenderung menutup diri tidak mau berinteraksi dengan keluarga, teman dan tetangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian ini melihat sistem interpersonal pada penderita HIV positif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 orang. Teknik pengambilan data dari informan dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam selama 60 menit pada masing-masing partisipan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan tema yang diangkat sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi sistem interpersonal pada penderita HIV positif. Tema tersebut adalah mendapat stigma negatif dari keluarga dan masyarakat. Stigma negatif dari keluarga dan masyarakat yang diterima oleh penderita HIV positif sangat mempengaruhi status kesehatannya. Stigma tersebut yang mempengaruhi sistem interpersonal pada penderita HIV positif. Seperti pernyataan teori King yang mana menyebutkan sistem interpersonal terdiri dari komunikasi, interaksi, peran, transaksi, stres dan mengatasi masalah. Perlakuan diskriminasi ini akan membuat penderita HIV positif mendapat tekanan psikologis sehingga merendahkan harga dirinya. Teori King yang berfokus pada interaksi manusia untuk mendukung keberlangsungan hidup jika terganggu akan memperngaruhi proses dalam kehidupan. Diharapkan untuk pengembangan penelitian selanjutnya membuat sebuah alat ukur seberapa jauh stigma negatif mempengaruhi sistem interpersonal pada penderita HIV positif.

Abstract

The research design used a correlation with a cross sectional approach. The study population was all male respondents with diabetes mellitus who visited the Sawahan Health Center, Nganjuk Regency, a total of 29 patients and samples that met the inclusion criteria of 25 patients were taken using accidental sampling technique. The independent variable was sexual dysfunction measured by IIEF and the dependent variable was quality of life measured by WHOQOL-BREF. Statistical test using Spearman's rho with = 0.05 on SPSS20. The results showed that from a sample of 25 patients with diabetes mellitus, it was known that almost half of them were in the category of mild to moderate sexual dysfunction as many as 10 patients (40%) and most of them were included in the category of adequate quality of life as many as 14 patients (56%). Spearman's rho test results value = 0.015 = 0.05 so that Ha is accepted. It can be concluded from this study that there is a relationship between sexual dysfunction and quality of life in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Sawahan Health Center, Nganjuk Regency.

Abstract

Introduction Anxiety from surgery is something that is often experienced by someone, here the role of the operating room nurse is how to reduce the anxiety level of preoperative patients, including by applying therapeutic communication to preoperative patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and preoperative patient anxiety. Methods The research design uses the Correlational Research Method with a Cross Sectional approach. The population of this study are patients who will undergo surgery. The research sample used Accidental Sampling and obtained a sample of 58 patients from a population of 86 patients. Data collection used the HARS questionnaire. Statistical Test Spearman rank statistical test with α (0.05) SPSS 20. Results The results of this study showed that most of the 42 respondents (72.42%) had good therapeutic communication criteria and almost all 47 respondents (81.03%) had moderate anxiety criteria. The results of the Spearman rank statistical test analysis obtained p value = 0.008, which means there is a relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and preoperative patient anxiety. Discussion Communication is an action that is the application of the nurse's duties as a counselor and educator. Therapeutic communication in nursing needs to be developed to provide education and psychological support for patients who will undergo an action that the patient has never undergone, such as surgery.
