Abstract

Sebagai salah satu peranan perguruan tinggi dalam mewujudkan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi khususnya dibidang Penerbangan, Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia dipandang perlu melakukan sosialisasi terkait Kawasan Keselamatan Operasi Penerbangan (KKOP) khususnya untuk masyarakat disekitar kawasan Bandar Udara. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan khususnya informasi tentang dunia penerbangan terkait dengan KKOP yang merupakan wilayah daratan dan/atau perairan dan ruang udara di sekitar bandar udara yang dipergunakan untuk kegiatan operasi penerbangan dalam rangka menjamin keselamatan penerbangan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode sosialisasi kepada masyarakat sekitar Bandar Udara Budiarto dan Kawasan kampus Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug dengan melibatkan tokoh masyarakat dan pemuda pada Desa Kemuning, Kecamatan Legok, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten selama satu hari. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi juga melibatkan Taruna Program Studi Diploma III Operasi Bandar Udara yang secara aktif menyiapkan materi didampingi para dosen dengan harapan Taruna dapat secara langsung berinteraksi dengan masyarakat sekitar di dalam menyampaikan ilmu yang telah dipelajari di kampus. Dengan adanya kegiatan Sosialisasi KKOP ini diharapkan penyebaran pengetahuan terkait KKOP di warga Desa Kemuning diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kewaspadaan masyarakat sekitar Bandar Udara Budiarto dan kampus Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug ketika beraktifitas di sekitar kawasan operasi penerbangan.

Abstract

The role of The Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic as one of the campuses in the aviation world in curug area, Tangerang, Banten is considered necessary to carry out activities related to flight safety awareness through socialization activities of the Aviation Operations Safety Area (KKOP) for the community around the Airport area. Community Service Activities (PKM) is carried out at the Tangerang District Transportation Office and is expected to be able to provide information related to the world of aviation which includes land areas and / or waters and air space around the airport as flight operations to ensure flight safety. The activity is carried out for 1 day and uses the lecture method. In addition, cadets from the Diploma III Airport Operations Study Program are actively involved in the implementation of the program, with a view that cadets can communicate the knowledge they gain on campus directly to the surrounding community. The Tangerang District Transportation Office, where KKOP socialization activities take place, is expected to become more aware of the activities that occur in and around the flight operations area. Peran Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia sebagai salah satu kampus di dunia penerbangan di wilayah Curug, Tangerang, Banten dipandang perlu melakukan kegiatan terkait dengan kewaspadaan keselamatan penerbangan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi Kawasan Keselamatan Operasi Penerbangan (KKOP) bagi masyarakat di sekitar area bandar udara. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Tangerang dan diharapkan mampu memberikan informasi terkait dunia penerbangan yang meliputi wilayah darat dan/atau perairan dan ruang udara di sekitar bandara sebagai operasional penerbangan guna menjamin keselamatan penerbangan. Kegiatan dilakukan selama satu hari dan menggunakan metode ceramah. Selain itu, taruna dari Program Studi Operasi Bandara Diploma III secara aktif terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program, dengan maksud agar para taruna dapat mengkomunikasikan pengetahuan yang mereka peroleh di kampus langsung kepada masyarakat sekitar. Kantor Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Tangerang, tempat kegiatan sosialisasi KKOP berlangsung, diharapkan menjadi lebih sadar akan kegiatan yang terjadi di dalam dan sekitar area operasi kegiata penerbangan.

Abstract

Aviation Security Personnel play a central role in preventing crimes within the aviation sector, bearing significant responsibilities. Strong expertise and competence are crucial in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia PM Number 28 of 2021 concerning the National Aviation Security Education and Training Program. Aviation Security Awareness training becomes essential, particularly within the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug campus environment. A 3-month Community Engagement Activity involves various partners including UPBU Budiarto, the Center for Calibration of Flight Facilities, Airnav Indonesia Budiarto-Curug Branch, and BMKG Curug. Experienced instructors in the field of Aviation Security participate in a comprehensive 2-day training, covering topics such as National Aviation Security, Criminal Technology, Trusted Insider Threats, and Aviation Security Threat Handling. The results demonstrate that several entities within the PPI Curug campus community still lack awareness in Aviation Security. The training focuses on National Aviation Security, Criminal Technology, Trusted Insider Threats, and Aviation Security Threat Handling. This training enhances the understanding and capabilities of personnel in executing aviation security measures, applying them in practice, and cultivating an overall commitment to aviation security. The ongoing Aviation Security Awareness training is expected to continuously develop the competence of aviation security personnel, enabling them to perform their duties at the required level of quality.
