PRESERVASI PENGETAHUAN DALAM TRADISI LISAN SENI PERTUNJUKAN RANDAI DI MINANGKABAU SUMATERA BARAT Primadesi, Yona

This paper aims to identify the elements in the oral art tradition of Minangkabau randai art, the preservation activities of knowledge that have been done, the constraints in the process of preservation of knowledge, as well as the steps that can be done in order to preserve the knowledge contained in the oral tradition of Minangkabau randai art performance. The method used is research method with qualitative approach and data collection through interview and document analysis method. The result of this research concludes that randai is an artistic tradition of society that is built from three important components, namely silek, kaba, and dendang or gurindam. Each element supports each other to build the main function of randai as representation and communication media of adat as well as cultural identity of Minangkabau society. The development, bakaba tradition of babangkito Minangkabau society accelerate the process of socialization and transfer of randai along with knowledge in it. But it also becomes an obstacle and hamper the preservation of originality of randai art itself. Preservation activities that have been done in general in the form of socialization activities in the form of direct face-to-face interaction and imitation process. Externalization in the form of documenting the tradition has begun, but not yet on the level of analysis, repackaging, and transfer of knowledge so that most of the knowledge is only stored in government agencies such as the Department of Tourism.Â

Collection development policy paper periodicals in the Library of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Andalas which discusses the applicability and constraints as seen from the collection development process starting from the requirements analysis process, the selection policy, selection, procurement, weeding and evaluation. This study is a qualitative study using descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used in this study is observation and interviews. Informants in this study is an expert associate librarian at the Library of the Faculty of Humanities. The results of this study showed that the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Library does not yet have a collection development policy periodicals written. This led to the development of the collection can be summed up by a bad run. Collection development process is also carried out without regard to the needs of library users. This article discusses the influence of library services to the satisfaction of the visitors at the Library of the State University of Padang. This study aims to determine the effect of library services to the satisfaction of the visitors at the Library of the State University Padang. Data collected through questionnaires and observation. Â Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded the following matters: (1) services in the Library of the State University of Padang less satisfactory, because it appears that the existing services at the Library of the State University of Padang not provide optimal service; (2) State University of Padang library atmosphere is quite comfortable for the visitors; (3) State University of Padang less librarian guiding the visitors during a visit to the library; (4) Library, State University of Padang quite a positive impact on the visitors. This article discusses the transformation of the school library in increasing students 'interest in SMA 6 Padang, the problem to be disclosed are: (1) how to transform a collection of libraries in enhancing students' interest; (2) how the transformation of library facilities in enhancing students' interest; (3) how the transformation of librarians in improving students' interest. Based on the data gathered thus concluded that: (1) the amount of the collection is not in accordance with standards established by the National Library. Type collections of the library SMAN 6 Padang not meet the needs of students; (2) the existing facilities in the library SMAN 6 Padang is incomplete and limited; (3) The library staff library SMAN 6 Padang yet have the skills and extensive knowledge in the field of library management. Thus, the school SMAN 6 Padang should complete the collection in accordance with the needs of students at the same facilities and infrastructure and librarians in order to further improve performance in processing rapidly growing library that library. This article discusses the review services children in the Library and Archives of West Sumatra province. By analyzing the data, we can conclude the following. First, the implementation of children's services at the Library and Archives of West Sumatra Province conducted in 2012 which is a coloring and writing articles, but other events such as film screenings and storytelling can not be implemented due to various conditions that do not allow; The next complete collection of the amount due each year receive additional collections; This service facilities are not complete; and interest in reading children who are less affected by the proliferation of internet access. Second, while the presence of obstacles in the implementation of children's services such as limited facilities, the transfer of funds, as well as indoor conditions that lead to not all activities can be carried out. Third, efforts that can be implemented to overcome the obstacles that still perform services with children, doing the distribution of funds to the two services, and plan for children's services programs in each year with reference to the evaluation in the previous year. Peran Masyarakat Lokal dalam Usaha Pelestarian Naskah-Naskah Kuno Paseban Yona Primadesi

This study aims to determine the role of local communities in conservation efforts of Paseban manuscripts. This research uses dominant less-dominant design, which combines quantitative and qualitative approaches in one study. The data were obtained from field observations, interviews, and library studies. The results are the conservation efforts undertaken on manuscripts in surau Paseban were limited to activities to save the script and clean manuscripts from dust and dirt. There were no special conservation activities on these texts, and the activities tended to damage the manuscript. The recommendation is the community is more responsive to the presence and the values of the manuscripts so that the joint conservation activities can be done optimally. In addition, special attention from the government for handling the manuscripts is needed. Key words: conservative manuscripts, surau Paseban, conservation efforts

This study aims to find out the problems of mobile library services at the Padang Pariaman Regency Archives and Library Service during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. There are 2 informants in this study, namely primary informants and secondary informants. The main informants in this study were 5 people with details, two librarians, the Head of the Mobile Library Service Section, the Head of the Library Division, and the Secretary of the Padang Pariaman Regency Archives and Library Service. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, and documentation methods. This study used validation techniques which included extended participation, persistence of observation and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that services (1) as a result of the covid 19 pandemic mobile libraries cannot operate as they should so that there are several new policies that change mobile library services such as; mobile library services no longer make visits to nagari, currently mobile libraries only go to school as the focus of their services; Mobile library collections can no longer be loaned, but users can only read the collections on the spot. (2) there is no development in the implementation of mobile library services in the new normal. The implementation of mobile library services is still carrying out services like during the pandemic. (3) the need for a solution to the problem of mobile library services during the pandemic delivered by the librarian, namely re-establishing mobile library services to villages and carrying out social inclusion, as well as making changes in library collections.

This research is motivated by the impact of increasingly rapid technological developments, so that it affects the existence of libraries and archives in 50 Kota. The purpose of this study was to describe the context, content, communication, and connection of Instagram at the Library and Archives Service of 50 Kota Regency as a promotional media. This is a qualitative study that uses the descriptive method. Interviewing, observation, and documenting procedures are used to obtain data. Based on research findings and discussion, it shows that library promotion through social media Instagram has fulfilled two of the four elements used. The elements that are met are the application of communication and connection. Based on the research results the application of context or message content seen from the clarity and completeness of the message is not yet persuasive. The application of content or message packaging has not been running effectively, it can be seen from the uploaded content that is less varied and the appearance of the feed on the @perpustakaandaerah50k account is less attractive. The application of communication or interaction between the @perpustakaandaerah50k admin and followers has been going well, as can be seen from the comments and direct messages which were responded positively by the admin. And the application of the connection is also going well, as can be seen from the use of the hashtag feature in promotions through Instagram social media, making it easier for followers to get information.
