Abstract

The author argues yhat management of fisheries and marine resources to day is more on ecological and economic goals than indirect use value, while direct use value is often used regardless of is sustainability. So far, direct benefits for improving the welfare of coastal communitiies have only been limited to a local scale with limited equipment. This condition is the responsibility of all parties, including policy makers, in increasing the economic value of fisheries and marine resources. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Obervation data collection methods, indepth interviews, FGD and documentation studies. Data were collected from informants, government (Camat, Raja Nusaniwe), people who carry aut activities to maintain and preserve coastal and marine ecosystems that are in critical condition such as coral reefs,  seagrass beds, estuaries and mangrove forests. The economic value of fisheries and marine resources can be increased by managing them sustainably.  To increase the useful value of these resources, various efforts are made with the right methods, so that the management of fisheries and marine resources can be optimized for the welfare of coastal communities.The result of this study indicate that the result of fisheries and marine resourece management efforts are still felt by people who are far from coastal areas. Meaning that entrepreneurs and middlemen who have tasted the results of fishery and marine resources have been strived for by coastal communities. That efforts to improve the welfare of the peisir people also depend on the management of fisheries and marine resources, which means that if fisheries and marine resources are not conserved, there will be massive exploitation by foreign ships and fish companies that are only looking for profit.

Abstract

The effort of women as the head of the family ini fulfilling the necessities of life is a change in status/fungtion from a housewife to being the head of the family as a result of the conflict Mamala and Morela. With this change in status, he changed his role, namely as a father to children as well as breadwinner to meet the needs of family life. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the social, economic, psychological and spiritual conditions of the family after the departure of the husband and to provide an overview of the efforts made by women as the head of the family in meeting the needs of family life. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods, of observation, in-depth interview, FGD and documentation studies. Data was collected from bureaucrats, religious leaders. Traditional leaders, and women breadwinners. Efforts made by women to survive in fulfilling the necessities of life include trading (opening stalls, selling fish, meatballs and boiled noodles) seweing and working in beauty salons. The key factor for family survival in fulfilling life socially, economically, psychologically and spiritually is the family itself and environmental factors as well as determinants to be used by families to develop their businesses. Womens efforts in fulfilling the necessities of life are a form of independence, namely an attiude of confidence and willingnees to take the initiative to survive and not depend on other parties.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic requires people to do work from home, this makes people's activities and mobility decline. Even the existence of community activities with the government's policy of implementing community activities (PPKM) which inhibits fish sellers at the Mardika Ambon market with market conditions that look deserted, people's purchasing power has decreased due to not being allowed to carry out activities involving many people, hampered distribution of materials, and a decrease in the number of people involved. fish prices at the level of fishermen and fish sellers. There is a fish seller strategy that is applied during the pandemic, namely fish sellers practice by recording every income earned and then managing it as needed, offering sales results to consumers at low prices during the pandemic, delivering their wares earlier than the time agreed with the previous consumers. , and provide additional fish to consumers who have bought even those who buy fish in large quantities.                    This study aims to determine and analyze how the role of fish sellers during the COVID-19 pandemic in improving family welfare.      The method used in this paper is a qualitative description method. The role of the fish seller is an effort, effort and hard work that is always done. The active role that fish sellers always play is by making offers and adding fish at standard prices to consumers. Meanwhile, the participatory role is the participation of fish sellers to help others, which is shown between sellers, by dividing the place to sell, and making donations for certain or urgent needs. Meanwhile, there is no passive role, because all buyers and sellers are active in the bargaining process and are not just silent. The results of the research at the Ambon Mardika Market show that the life of fish sellers during the COVID-19 pandemic still survives and the income of fish sellers varies. Before the pandemic they had a bigger advantage than when there was a pandemic. However, no loss.
