Abstract

Violence against women in household circles committed by husbands to wives is still a frequent phenomenon in Indonesia. Through social media, especially YouTube, Rachel Vennya voiced the voice of her best friend, Adelita Morskha, on her YouTube channel, who was a victim of an abusive relationship using the Sara Mills Model Critical Discourse Analysis. The results showed that the role of women as story subjects who presented themselves in the video. However, it is also the object of storytelling, that women as victims of abuse, oppressed figures, weak people, easily experience violence in the form of beatings or arguments by husbands or domestic perpetrators. Thus Rachel Vennya brings her YouTube content this time about women having their own perspective by being able to portray women as victims in the text, as well as women who represent the subject in news texts.

Abstract

The use of the hijab is a symbol in Islam that shows the piety of Muslim women. With the provisions of the syari'at which regulates that the veil is to cover the genitals. However, in the current era, the hijab is not only a covering of genitals, it is also a part of self-identity, life style and fashion in social interactions among society. That's why the hijab increases its function to beautify and value the beauty of its users. The development of the hijab in today's reality can change the way of thinking, the perception of the meaning of the hijab, especially among IAIN Ponorogo students. Saussure semiotic analysis is used to see the phenomenon of the meaning of the headscarf towards female students of IAIN Ponorogo. In this study, it was found that female students interpreted the hijab not only as an obligation to cover their genitals and self-identity for Muslim women, but also as a life style on the grounds that they looked fashionable and not too conservative.

Abstract

Voicing goodness including preaching is an obligation for Muslims. In contrast to the method of preaching the Prophet Muhammad in the past, the ease of doing anything now cannot be separated because of the role of technological developments in disseminating information including preaching. The modern era provides an opportunity for us to invite us to do good by preaching by utilizing technology. However, the ease of access now is also inseparable from the communication strategy of preaching da'i in packaging da'wah messages to attractive and light da'wah methods which are also very much needed by modern society. In this paper the author presents empirical data from the preaching of the Prophet Muhammad which is still relevant to be implemented in the communication strategy of da'wah in modern society. The purpose of this research is that the modern era da'wah strategy must be able to be side by side with advanced science and technology. So that the use of technology in preaching is needed in order to increase faith and devotion to Allah through verbal communication (bil al-oral) and nonverbal (bil al hal). The result of this research is that modern society in Lengkong Village gives a good response and can apply what has been conveyed through the da'wah communication strategy carried out, by utilizing the sophistication of today's technology. Abstract

Women who are considered as weak creatures who are unable to do anything, are harassed, ostracized and marginalized, and do not have the right to speak out what is on their minds.
