Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek dari model pembelajaran quantum dengan bantuan simulasi PhET terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa pada kelas XI MIA di MAN 2 Mataram. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh dua kelas yaitu XI MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Tes menggunakan esai sebanyak 5 soal untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis. Nilai rata-rata posttest untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol adalah 73,81 dan 63,41. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian ini adalah MANOVA. Hasil uji MANOVA menunjukkan signifikan 0,043 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh dari model pembelajaran quantum dengan berbantuan simulasi PhET terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning model with experimental methods towards the result of physics learning of students SMAN 1 Gunungsari academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is a quasi experimental research with pretest-postest control group design. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique. The results of this research are learning outcomes in the cognitive domain while for the affective domain, and psychomotor as supporting data. The instrument used to measure the learning outcomes in the cognitive domain is an objective test that firstly tested the validity, reliability, differentiation, and degree of difficulty. The average grade of the experimental class's learning result is 68.06 and the control class is 56.25. The result of prerequisite analysis test shows that post test data are normal and homogeneous distributed so that statistic test used is parametric statistic t-test polled varians with t test criterion, and obtained t count equal to 3,95 and t table equal to 2.00 at 5% significant level. Therefore t count is bigger than t table then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, so there is influence of inquiry learning model with experiment method towards the result of physics learning of students SMAN 1 Gunungsari academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Abstrak: Model discovery learning merupakan model yang disarankan pada implementasi Kurikulum 2013, namun masih banyak guru yang belum memiliki gambaran yang jelas dalam penggunaan model discovery learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI MAN 1 Lombok Barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitan quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu post-test only control grup design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik XI MIA MAN 1 Lombok Barat tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Pengambilan sampel digunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga terpilih kelas XI MIA 1 berjumlah 29 orang sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI MIA 2 berjumlah 30 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvesional sedangkan kelas eksperimen diajarkan dengan model discovery learning. Penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik diukur menggunakan skor hasil belajar kognitif (C1 sampai C6). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 butir soal. Data hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas kontrol dalam kategori cukup dengan nilai rerata 62.6 dan kelas eksperimen dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rerata 77.7. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan uji-t separated varians dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_hitung yaitu 4.955 lebih besar dari t_tabel yaitu 1.700 yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI MAN 1 Lombok Barat.Kata kunci: discovery learning, penguasaan konsep fisikaAbstract: Discovery learning model is a recommended model for the implementation of 2013 Curriculum, but there are still many teachers who do not have a clear picture in using the discovery learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning models on the mastery of physics concepts in class XI MAN 1 West Lombok students. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research with research design that is post-test only control group design. The population of this study were all XI MIA MAN 1 West Lombok students in the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling was used cluster random sampling technique so that selected class XI MIA 1 amounted to 29 people as the control class and class XI MIA 2 totaled 30 people as the control class. The control class was taught using the conventional learning model while the experimental class was taught using the discovery learning model. Mastery of students' physics concepts is measured using scores of cognitive learning outcomes (C1 to C6). The instrument used was a multiple choice test of 25 items. The result data obtained showed that the mastery of the physics concepts of the control class students was in the sufficient category with an average value of 62.6 and the experimental class in the good category with a mean value of 77.7. The research hypothesis was tested using a t-test separated variance with a significance level of 5%. Data analysis shows that the value of tcount is 4.955 which is greater than ttable which is 1.700 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of discovery learning model on the mastery of physics concepts in class XI MAN 1 Lombok Barat in 2019/2020.Keywords: discovery learning, mastery of physics concepts
