Abstract

The research aims to analysis of the content of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in milkfish (Chanos chanos Forsk) from the encroachment of Bima bay at year 2020. The benefit of this study is to provide information related to the content of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in milkfish (Chanos chanos Forsk) and protect the community or consumers from heavy metal contaminants. The research was conducted in Bima Bay, namely in 2 research locations, namely Malay village, Bima City, and Palibelo, Bima Regency. This type of research is descriptive explorative research—sampling techniques using purposive sampling. Samples of milkfish were taken directly on the pond area of 3 heads in each location. Then the sample is put in the sample box that has previously been washed clean. The research samples were then analyzed of the content of heavy metal cadmium (Cd) using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer tool. The results showed that at the palibelo research site, Bima Regency in PB 1 samples contains cadmium (Cd) of 30 ppm, PB 2 samples of 40 ppm, and PB 3 samples of 10 ppm. Furthermore, at the location of Malay village, Bima City on KM 1 sample of 30 ppm, on KM 2 sample of 40 ppm, and KM 3 sample of 20 ppm. The content of heavy metal cadmium (Cd) in milkfish (Chanos chanos forsk) from Bima Bay exceeds the threshold by BPOM Regulation No. 5 of 2018 is 0.1 ppm. The presence of heavy metal content cadmium (Cd) that exceeds this threshold indicates that the waters of Bima Bay have been contaminated by heavy metals Cadmium (Cd).

Abstract

The research aims to figure out how to breed Philemon buceroides in captivity and make recommendations for conservation activities in-situ and ex-situ. Philemon buceroides are bred by giving the Pregnant Mare Serum Godadotrophin (PMSG) and Estrogen hormones and artificial insemination to birds who are sexually mature and physically healthy at least one year old. The birds in this study were Philemon buceroides that had been reared for at least a year to lessen stress. According to the researchers, the Philemon buceroides sample was acclimatized for 7 days in each birdcage. The treatment group was superovulated the next day to produce more eggs than normal, using PMSG hormone at a dose of 150 Im in 10 milliliters of ferologic Nacl / Kg BW once a day for three days. Only 10 milliliters of ferologic NaCl were given orally to the control group. The following day, lust/Estrus synchronization was performed utilizing the Estrogen hormone at a dose of 150 Im in 10 milliliters of ferological NaCl orally once a day for three days. Sperm was taken from male Philemon buceroides. As a result, synchronizing the reproductive hormones Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotrophin (PMSG) and Estrogen in male and female Philemon buceroides considerably influenced the increase in ovulation, however the eggs generated by the mother Philemon buceroides have yet to produce chicks. Furthermore, obtaining male sperm is challenging. Just one sperm pulled out one drop from the three guys, while the other two did not

Abstract

Ethnobotany is a science that explains the knowledge of traditional communities on the use of plants to support their lives. One of the uses of plants for traditional building materials can be seen in the Uma Lengge building which is a traditional building located in the Wawo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This building used to function as a residence for the Mbojo tribe. However, along with the development of the times, the function of the building has been transferred only as a place to store rice. This research aims to analyze the types of constituent plants and explore information about the local wisdom contained in Uma Lengge's architecture. This research type is qualitative using descriptive methods and plant anatomy approaches. Data collection is done using observations, interviews, and documentation. The selection of informants used the snowball sampling method. Based on the results of the study 7 types of plants were used as constituents for the construction of traditional Uma Lengge houses in Maria Village, teak (Tectona grandis Lf.), areca nut (Areca catechu L.), coconut (Cocos nucifera L.), banyan (Ficus benjamina L.), bamboo (Gigantochloa atter Kurz.), hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.), and ndolo (Imperata confera (J.Presl) Ohwi). The local wisdom contained in Uma Lengge architecture is still being applied by the people of Maria Village for generations which include customs, and the preservation of annual traditions or rituals that have good values to be passed down
