Abstract

This community service project aims to improve farmer groups bokashi fertilizer-making skills and professionalism. This community service activity is the method used in the approach and assistance by survey, lecture, discussion, question and answer, and training. This service activity aims to train farmer groups to produce bokashi fertilizer. The results of this activity showed that farmers group in Wuasa Village have new knowledge and skills in making bokashi fertilizer

Abstract

This community service activity aims to deliver knowledge to farmer group so that they can improve their skills in making fermented rice straws for animal feed. The study methods used were survey, lecture, discussion, question and answer, socialization and evaluation. The target of the service activity is the farmer group. The socialization carried out explained the materials and tools used for fermenting rice straw, the nutrition quality of rice straw, the benefits of fermented rice straw, and the processing techniques of fermented rice straw. The results of the activity evaluation showed that farmer group knowledge concerning the materials and tools used for fermenting rice straw increased by 46,25%, knowledge regarding the nutrition quality of rice straw increased by 40,98%, knowledge about the benefits of fermented rice straw increased by 42,67% and knowledge of fermented rice straw processing techniques increased by 40,28%.

Abstract

Kelor adalah tanaman perdu dari family Moringaceae yang banyak dijumpai di Indonesia khususnya di Desa Uedele Kecamatan Tojo Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una sebagai tanaman pagar dan mempunyai banyak manfaat. Saat ini daun kelor banyak yang mencoba buat menjadi tepung dan hal ini merupakan salah satu alternatif yang baik dimanfaatkan untuk pakan ternak karena ketersediaannya banyak dan harganya murah. Namun kandungan nutrisi daun kelor dari Desa Uedele belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi dari tepung daun kelor yang berasal dari Desa Uedele Kecamatan Tojo Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu kadar air, abu, protein kasar, serat kasar dan lemak kasar. Pengujian kandungan nutrisi menggunakan analisis proksimat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tepung daun kelor memiliki kadar air sebesar 10,96%, abu 9,45%, protein kasar 24,14%, serat kasar 11,44%, dan lemak kasar 6,11%. Tingginya protein kasar tepung daun kelor dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak sumber protein.
