Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to review and characterize research-based music assessments that might be used to guide and assist teachers and students in transforming their attitudes and perceptions, ability to express their ideas and concepts during the assessment process openly. This study employed descriptive and autoethnographic methods to elicit information about current conditions and practices through the library approach and literature review. The identified music assessment techniques were used to determine how well students comprehend important points in a session. It includes the Music Concept Memory Exercise and Instrumental and Vocal Schematic Processing for music lesson instructions and the Five-Letter Name Pitch Memory Test and Three-Chord Familiarization Assessment for basic instrumental music instructions. They are used as a core component deliberately designed to expose classroom teachers and prospective teachers to the essentials for effective instructional practices. Effective evaluation ensures that learners’ knowledge, understanding, and skills are transferred effectively in future contexts.

Abstract

The establishment of the K-12 curriculum has had a significant impact on subject requirements related to the outcome-based education plan and the requisite output for a given research report or requirement. Social networking platforms enable students to effortlessly complete a variety of tasks, such as learning and performance. By intervening in research, social networking sites break down the barriers that limit both students and teachers in the research process. Three methodologies or ideas have arisen, known as approaches, that could help you facilitate teaching research, even if you are not in the research discipline: the Facebook-Personality Network Approach, the Virtual Research Journal, and the Google Immersion Approach. It is considered favorably by some students and users, but there are those who take advantage of its negative aspects. Instead of focusing on the emerging ideas or topics created by coding, I used social networking sites to demonstrate that research can be done anytime, anyplace, for any purpose or cause. According to the outcome-based education paradigm, students found the three techniques highly engaging. Abstract

This study emphasizes findings from literature reviews that aimed to describe and present the current teaching strategies in Music education. These teaching strategies are one of the needed primary skills of Music teachers to address the learning challenges, competencies, and diverseness of the existing curriculum, help them to explore the needs of the students, and give them a framework of what could be the best and appropriate strategy in delivering a lesson. This study employed a descriptive method to gather information about present conditions through a library method and literature review. The data were analyzed using explanatory synthesis. Based on the literature review, the researcher identified four well-known teaching strategies in Music education: the Carabo-Cone Method, Dalcroze Method, Kodaly Method, and Orff Schulwerk Approach. The researcher used four criteria in synthesizing reviews such as the proponent, foundation, philosophy, and methodology. Conclusion of the results and discussions, the four teaching strategies also varied in four indicators, yet similarly focused on using the senses for holistic growth and development and providing all students with the opportunity to be successful. The quality of education depends mostly on the part of the teacher. The different Music teaching strategies serve as a guide to fulfilling the purpose satisfactorily that a teacher and a student needs. It is recommended to analyze its implications towards different modes of learning as global education facing numerous challenges in terms of economic crisis, pandemic, and educational incapability and inequalities that could affect the educational system.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on managerial accounting and its adjustments in financial markets to help business society deal with their businesses and companies during the pandemic. This study was conducted in one of the cities in the Metropolitan Manila in Quezon City, Philippines, employing the descriptive design under the qualitative research method through an interview protocol and online form methods with accountants, managers, and business owners using Fiedler’s Contingency Theory. This research initiative is a great help for those who are suffering in their business, especially managers, accountants, and business owners. Managerial accounting in the financial markets has had a lot of difficulties since this pandemic occurred. In this case, businesses were not prepared for the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some business owners had to close their businesses for three months because of the outbreak. Business owners are taking steps to become affable and open to the consumers that might purchase their products. Despite the pandemic, company owners are determined to stay open. They knew how to cope with scammers, especially those who ran an online company during this pandemic crisis. Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to examine and identify the classroom assessment techniques (CATs) that might provide and help teachers through assessment and evaluation processes in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH) using pre-experimental research through one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at Jose Abad Santos High School in Manila, Philippines during the third grading period of the researcher’s practicum. The sample of the study consists of 20 students selected through the purposive sampling technique. Quantitative and qualitative data analyses were employed. The instruments used in the study were a teacher-made quiz, CATs sample assessment as the treatment, and the perception survey questionnaire (PSQ) regarding the CATs. The result revealed that there is a significant difference between the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation after the CATs implementation. In the post-evaluation, the mean score was significantly higher than the pre-evaluation, which indicates that the CATs improved the performance of students in MAPEH. On the other hand, as revealed in the PSQ, the students regarded the CATs positively. It shows, in this case, that CATs are a great alternative to traditional assessments. Other CATs to be developed and implemented for better learning and effective teaching are recommended.
