Abstract

Rerajahan is Balinese Hindu culture as a local product of the genus of Balinese Hindus. Hindus in Bali firmly believe that this rerajahan contains magic. The magical powers that can be generated by the rerajahan are used for sacred purposes, namely for things related to Hinduism which are called "Panca Yadnya". in addition, rerajahan is also a very inspirational work of traditional art, and has become a source of ideas for some Balinese artists in creating individual works. The very expressive form of rerajahan with a variety of motifs which are stylized from natural and fictional forms, is a work of art that is attractive and has high aesthetic value, integrated with spiritual values. Balinese people consider rerajahan as a religious, magical and mystical art object. In rerajahan, between religious values and aesthetic values are present as one unit. Therefore, it is fitting that rerajahan be called one of the single manifestations of art with religion. This research uses a qualitative approach, in which the data in this study are collected through literature studies related to the essence of Rerajahan, collecting libraries including books related to Rerajahan. The data that has been collected is then reduced to determine the appropriate data for analysis using the hermeneutic method

Abstract

The trigger for conflict between humans is an interest in mutual ownership which is not their right, so that it can cause a sense of dissatisfaction. This occurs due to a lack of information and understanding between rights and responsibilities. Land disputes occur because of these matters which can be resolved by the laba pura as a social institution that has desa adat law as its basis. Through the right approach and good data collection, research has resulted that customary law has a very strong power to protect every element of life under it, of course also refers to the applicable laws and regulations as a guide, a reviewer of related problems. In addition to civil legal channels, land disputes can be resolved through deliberation, of course, through fierce mediation by both parties, involving various witnesses and mutually reinforcing evidence regarding the position of the disputed land. Deliberation is carried out by summoning both parties and witnesses who can corroborate alibis as arguments for the recognition of the land. Through the final decision, the land which was actually owned by the Desa Adat as a laba pura was handed back by the brahman family as laba pura.

Abstract

History proves that the ancient regions known as the Archipelago already had an advanced government system. Arthaśāstra's knowledge of governance is reflected in the royal arrangements, defense systems, and patterns of international diplomacy that are applied. One of the knowledge of the ancient government is contained in Nāgarakṛtâgama, which describes the concept of the mandala of the Majapahit kingdom. Two political texts on Javanese land, namely Kakawin Nitisastra, and Nāgarakṛtâgama, have close links with Hindu politics, which are listed in various literature such as the Rāmāyaṇa, Māhābharata, and the treatise on politics and government of Arthaśāstra. This article is the result of research on the Nāgarakṛtâgama text and its context on the Indonesian defense diplomacy system. Data were obtained through literature studies, interviews, and FGDs with defense policymakers. The theory used is the interpretation of Paul Ricoeur with data analysis using Ethnographic Content Analysis (ECA). Majapahit, built with the breath of the Hindu-Buddhist religion, wanted to establish the sacred tradition of the kingdom in order to develop people's welfare. The political constellations are known as mandalas which depict political maps, military constellations, and diplomacy. Mitreka state is a well-known Majapahit diplomacy jargon listed in chapter 15. Majapahit places several kingdoms as equal kingdoms or friendly countries, in addition to a number of countries with good relations or enemies that can invade at any time. The Majapahit political map is essential to understand to build geopolitical awareness and efforts to rebuild political learning for youth in the country. Besides that, Nāgarakṛtâgama's political philosophy is powerfully relevant to the current state defense diplomacy system.

Abstract

Air Sanih community underwent changes after being developed into a tourism destination. The sacred pool (pertirtan), converted into a paid tourist attraction. Changing the sacred pool into a paid pool is done for material gain. The emergence of GoMas (Goa Maria Air Sanih) has had an impact on religious practices. A number of members of the Air Sanih community turned away, making the Virgin Mary their god of worship. This study aims to determine the dialectic, deviation, and religious conversion of the Air Sanih community, through qualitative methods through primary and secondary data sources, namely information from the Air Sanih community and supporting literature data through a phenomenological approach. The results of the study explain dialectics as the impact of developing a village into a tourism destination. The entry of tourism provides new understanding and experience to the people of Air Sanih. A new understanding in the field of religious patterns has made people turn to certain religious patterns, namely making the Blessed Virgin Mary a Ista Dewata (eight existence of God), a deity to worship. This is done by a number of Hindus who have a tradition of using a prayer facility in the form of a daksina linggih (Balinese offering which function as a God’s chair/seat) in front of the statue of the Virgin Mary. Indirectly making the Virgin Mary a worshiped God, without leaving Ida Sang Hyang Widhi as the initial worshiping God, is an internal religious conversion.
