Abstract

Ketersediaan pakan ternak merupakan hal yang vital bagi keberlanjutan suatu usaha peternakan  karena biaya pakan adalah komponen tertinggi (60−70%) dari seluruh biaya produksi ternak. Oleh karena itu ketersediaan bahan pakan secara kontinyu sangat penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan proses produksi sapi potong. Salah satu caranya melalui penggunaan limbah pertanian dan limbah industri pertanian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kawasan Pengembangan Sekolah Peternakan Rakyat (SPR) Kecamatan Ngadiluwih, Kabupaten Kediri selama 3 bulan dimulai pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2019. Tujuan dari penelitian ialah mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan Limbah Pertanian Terhadap Performa Produksi Sapi Potong di Sekolah Peternakan Rakyat (SPR) Kabupaten Kediri. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa 4 jenis dengan sapi jantan berjumlah  28 ekor bobot badan awal sapi kirasan 300 - 400 kg. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah  pemberian  pakan berbasis bahan pakan lokal pada 28 sapi jantan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dengan 7 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi: (1) konsumsi pakan; (2) pertambahan bobot badan  harian (PBBH); (3) konversi pakan dan (4). Hasil penelitian bahwa pengaruh pemanfaatan Limbah Pertanian Terhadap Performa Produksi Sapi Potong di Sekolah Peternakan Rakyat (SPR) Kabupaten Kediri menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan dan menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap PBBH, konversi pakan dan efisiensi pakan. Konsumsi pakan tertinggi sampai yang terendah berturut – turut ialah perlakuan P3 (10,20±0,43 g/ekor/hari), P2 (9,16±0,86 g/ekor/hari), P1 (9,10±3,62 g/ekor/hari), dan P4 (8,55±3,50 g/ekor/hari). Disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan P3 terbaik untuk meningkatkan konsumsi pakan  sapi potong. Namun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian, konversi pakan dan efisiensi pakan. Berdasarkan data di atas dapat disarankan perlu diadakan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang pemanfaatan limbah pertanian terhadap performa ternak lain.

Abstract

Solusi sumber protein alternatif untuk mengganti protein hewani konvensional dengan harga yang lebih kompetitif, yaitu Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens). Materi dalam penelitian ini ialah larva BSF yang digunakan melalui tiga perlakuan berbeda yaitu larva BSF dalam bentuk segar, tepung dan ekstrak metanol. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu P0 (pakal basal mengandung 8% tepung ikan), P1 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% BSF segar), P2 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% tepung BSF) dan P3 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% ekstrak metanol BSF). Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 5 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam petelur sehingga totalnya 100 ekor ayam petelur. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, berat telur, konversi pakan, metabolit darah dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum yang mengandung 4% tepung ikan dan 4% ekstrak metanol BSF (P3) berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi telur (89.86 ± 4.78%), total protein darah (6,95 ± 0,56 g dl-1), kadar albumin darah (3,19 ± 0,98 g dl-1), kadar glukosa darah (313,45 ± 1.38 g dl-1), dan berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap IOFC, BSF segar (P1) mendapatkan keuntungan maksimal sebesar Rp. 1776 ekor/ minggu.Kata Kunci: ayam petelur, Hermetia illucens, IOFC, metabolit darahThe Effect of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) Supplementation on Laying Hens’s Egg Production and Blood MetabolitesABSTRACTThe solution of alternative protein source form to replace conventional animal protein at a competitive price was Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens). The method was used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments, namely P0 (basal feed + 8% fish meal), P1 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% fresh BSF), P2 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% flour BSF) and P3 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% methanol extract BSF). Each treatment consisted of 5 replications with 5 layer hens per replicate. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed the P3 treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on egg production (89.86 ± 4.78%), total blood protein (6.95 ± 0.56 g dl-1), blood albumin levels (3.19±0.98 g dl-1), blood glucose levels (313.45 ± 1.38 g dl-1), and significant effect (P<0,05) on IOFC, but fresh BSF (P1) gets a maximum profit of 1776 IDR/bird/week.Keywords: laying hen, hermetia illucens, IOFC, blood metabolite

Abstract

Several herbs have been evaluated as feed additive for chicken, namely tumeric, white tumeric, javanese ginger and black ginger. The purpose of the research was to examine antibacterial activity (inhibition diameter zone and minimum inhibition concentration test) on several herbs extract toward Escherichia coli. In the experiment, there were 6 treatments namely aquadest 100% (A0), antibiotic tetracycline (A1), tumeric extract (A2), white tumeric extract (A3), javanese ginger extract (A4) and black ginger extract (A5) in response to inhibit Escherichia coli. Variables measured were inhibition diameter zone and minimum inhibition concentration test against challenge on Escherichia coli. The experiment was arranged in one way nested ANOVA based on completely randomized design and if there were different effects among variables it would be tested by Duncan’s multiple range test. The result showed that the use of turmeric extract gave highly significant inhibition diameter zone for Escherichia coli (P<0,01), further test indicated that as low as 50% (w/v) concentration of turmeric extract was enable to show as minimum concentration of inhibition against Escherichia coli. The conclusion of this research was among the herbs, selected turmeric extract showed the highest inhibition diameter zone if challance against Escherichia coli with minimum inhibition concentration of 50% (w/v).   Keywords : herbs extract, Escherichia coli, inhibition

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this reseach was to know the influence of phytobiotic in feed for laying hen production performance at 28 – 32 weeks old . Variables in the study include: water feed consumption, hen day production, feed conversion rasio, feed eficiency and IOFC. The research method used was experimental using Random Design Randomized Design (RAL).The results showed that The treatment P1, P2 and P3 was very significant effect ratio (P<0,01) on feed consumption, hen day production, feed conversion rasio, feed eficiency and IOFC. The highest feed consumption was P2 (phytobiotic 2%) 111,23 g/tail/day; the highest hen day production was P2 (phytobiotic 2%) 83,21 ± 1,36%; the highest feed conversion rasio was P1 (phytobiotic 1%) 2,10 ± 0,04; the highest feed eficiency was P1 (phytobiotic 1%) 2,10 ± 0,04 and the highest IOFC was 12.481,8 ± 204,08 (IDR/tail/28 day). The conclusion of this research, that the influence of phytobiotic 2% is the best result to be increase for feed consumption, hen day production and IOFC laying hen.

Abstract

This research aims to observe the effect of addition of red peanutlevel on organoleptic quality, physical quality dan chemical quality of domestic chicken nugget.The research was done by completely randomized design with 4 treatment and 6replications. P1 (domestic chicken meat + 5% red peanut flour), P2 (domestic chicken meat + 10% red peanut flour), P3 (domestic chicken meat + 15% red peanut flour) and P4 (domestic chicken meat + 20% red peanut flour). The variables measured include: organoleptic quality, physical quality and chemical quality.The result showed that, the addition of red peanut flour 20% was very significantly affected (P<0.01) to smell and flavor of domestic chicken nugget with score 2.60, the addition of red peanut flour 20% was very significantly affected (P<0.01) to WHC and protein level of domestic chicken nugget with each value 54.73%; 20.01%. The addition of red peanut flour 5% was very significantly affected (P<0.01) to water content of domestic chicken nugget 50.69%. It can be concluded that the best treatment of addition of red peanut flour 20% to smell, flavour, WHC and protein level of domestic chicken nugget.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis tepung dan level pemberian terhadap organoleptik nugget daging kelinci. Variabel dalam penelitian meliputi : Uji Organoleptik warna, rasa, aroma, tekstur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan percobaan faktorial Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial. Apabila terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan maka diteruskan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil 5 %.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata perlakuan mutu dan hidonik berpengaruh nyata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa pada penelitian ini pemberian jenis tepung dan level pemberian terhadap kualitas organoleptik. Penelitian ini pada pemberian antara tepung tapioka dan tepung maizena menunjukan berpengaruh nyata pada parameter mutu nugget daging kelinci. Perlakuan pada level antara 10% 15% dan 20% jumlah tepung dalam nugget daging kelinci berpengaruh nyata. pengaruh yang sangat nyata terdapat pada pemberian tepung tapioka dengan level pemberian 10% pada parameter mutu dan hidonik rasa.

Abstract

Increased demand for livestock products one of which is chicken meat, consumption of chicken meat in 2014 reached 4.48 kg / kap / th (total consumption broiler, laying chicken race reject and stud and free-range chicken ­). Chicken is a name for a pet chicken which are not cultivated by means of commercial mass cultivation and does not originate from the race generated for commercial purposes. Production of chicken that is currently not maximally demanding existence additive a natural feed to increase the production of chicken meat. One of the natural feed additive is turmeric flour. Research on “Effect of Dose and Method of Giving of Turmeric Flour to Chicken Village Performance “ JAWA SUPER”” was held on February 17 - March 14, 2017 in Sawahan Village, Purwokerto Village, Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency. This study aims to determine the effect of dosage and turmeric feeding method on the performance of chicken “JAWA SUPER”. The method used in this research is experimental method by using nested pattern, consisting of 2 treatments and 4 doses, in which each treatment dose was repeated 3 times. Turmeric powder is fed in 1% feed (P1), 1.5% (P2), 2% (P3) 2.5% (P4) and in drinking water with dose of 1% (M1), 1.5% (M2 ), 2% (M3) 2.5% (M4). The variables observed in this study were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion and chicken mortality. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the treatment and doses given in the study all did not significantly affect the performance of "JAWA SUPER" chicken chicken except chicken mortality. With the average of each variable, consumption (mean feed method 44.00 ± 2.13 (gram / head / day) and drinking method of 43.27 ± 1.29 (gram / head / day)), UN (average feed method 527 , 61 ± 53,61 (gram / head) and in drinking method 514,15 ± 4,65 (gram / head)), feed conversion (feed method average 2,17 ± 0,16 and drink method 2,20 ± 0 , 19), and mortality with 0% mortality from 96 chickens maintained.

Abstract

One of the resilience and diversification program of food were supplying and using local meat. Duck’s meat was soource of highly animal protein, but less of idea to process that meats. Nuggets was the produst processed meat that well liked many people. So expcted an be increase the economic of society. This research conducted at the campus of the Islamic University Kadiri on 29 april 2015 and was herped by 30 panelist. The purpose of this study to determine the species and levels or the different flour in nuggets ducks so that consumers prefer. The data obtained were analized using a completely randomized design analysis and if there is a noticeable difference then proceed to test LSD. The result showed that the species and levels or the different flour in nuggets ducks gave highly significant (P<0,01) for organoleptic tests include color, aroma, taste and texture. The conclusion of this research was the panelis liked the use of 20% level of flour in nuggets ducks

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami efek herbafit yang ditambahkan dalam pakan tentang kualitas fisik telur ayam ras petelur yang meliputi berat telur, tebal kerabang telur, indeks putih telur, indeks kuning telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit telur. Materi penelitian ini berupa ayam ras petelur fase layer dengan strain Isa-Brown umur 28 minggu sebanyak 100 ekor, Fitobiotik (campuran antara tepung kunyit dan jahe dengan rasio masing - masing 5 : 5 : 1), konsentrat ayam petelur, kandang baterai sebanyak 20 kandang. penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 Ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu P0 : Pakan Basal (kontrol), P1 : Pakan Basal ditambah Herbafit 1% , P2 : Pakan Basal ditambah Herbafit 2%,, P3 : Pakan Basal ditambah Herbafit 3%. Hasil penelitian menyatakan penambahan herbafit sebanyak 3% memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap tebal kerabang telur, indeks kuning telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit telur. Namun penambahan herbafit dengan level 1 – 3% tidak memiliki pengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap berat telur dan indeks putih telur. kesimpulannya adalah penambahan herbafit sebanyak 3% dalam pakan dapat meningkatkan kualitas fisik telur ayam petelur meliputi kerabang telur, indeks kuning telur, warna kuning telur dan haugh unit.

Abstract

Maggot has the potential as a feed mixture. In an effort to produce good Maggot, the best media is needed for the growth and reproduction of these larvae. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using different cultivation media for Black Soldier Fly Larvae (Hermetia ilucens) culture media. This research was conducted in Sidomulyo Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments and 6 replications and each replication consisted of 0.5 grams of MAGGOT Larvae eggs, the study was carried out until the larvae were 28 days old. The treatment was arranged in the order P1 using food waste, P2 fruit and vegetable and fruit waste, P3 commercial feed and P4 chicken excreta. The observed variables were regarding the performance of Maggot larvae in the form of colony weight, larval weight, length and consumption of Maggot larvae. The results showed that there was no significant effect in each treatment on colony weight, larval weight, length and consumption of Maggot larvae. The average colony weight from lowest to highest was P4 (391), P2 (800), P1 (900), P3 (933) gram/colony. The average weight of Maggot larvae started from the lowest to the highest, namely P4 (45), P1 (71), P2 (94), P3 (94) mg/head. The average length from the lowest to the highest was P4 (4.43), P1 (9.63), P2 (10.1), and P3 (13.3) mm/head and the average consumption from the lowest to the highest P4 (1842), P2 (2150), P3 (2467), and P1 (2500) g/treatment for 28 days of study. The results of the study explained that commercial feed media gave the best results on colony weight, average weight and maggot length.
