Abstract

Adolescents with intellectual disabilities are teenagers who have a low level of intelligence compared to adolescents of their age. This situation causes adolescents with intellectual disabilities have an inability to adapt a developmental behavior. It happens because they have the same biological development as adolescents of their age, thus often causing various problems related to reproduction. On the other hand, teachers in schools have obstacles in providing reproductive health education, this is because many teachers have not received information on reproductive health, consider it taboo, especially on the topic of sexuality and the limitations of children's abilities. So, the teacher’s role is limited to reminding or helping young girls to change pads when menstruating, helping and reminding them how to clean themselves after urinate or defecate. The objective of this research is to explore the experience and needs of teachers in providing reproductive health education in adolescents with intellectual disabilities. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Participant in this research was teachers in SLB Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The data were collected using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. There are 4 themes based on this study, namely: adolescents with intellectual disabilities are feeling the need for sexuality, school efforts in controlling sexual abuse of adolescents with intellectual disabilities in schools, efforts to increase teacher capabilities in providing reproductive health material, teacher limitation regarding the reproductive health of adolescents with intellectual disabilities. Reproductive health curriculum, teaching instruments, parental participation for the sustainability of reproductive health materials at home, and material reproductive health curriculum in each age stage are the need of teachers in providing reproductive health for adolescent with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

Background: Teachers have experience difficulties in delivering reproductive health material to adolescent with intellectual disability. Until now, learning reproductive health has not been taught in a structured manner in learning in schools because it has not been included in the educational curriculum structure in special schools. The lack of references or guidelines for parents and teachers shows the importance of media learning.Objective: This study aims to develop audio-visual media as a learning media for reproductive health for adolescent with intellectual disability. Methods: This research is a Research and Development (R&D). The first step is a need assessment of the problems and experiences of the parents, the teacher then continues to draft the instructional media in audio-visual form. The validity test was carried out by media and material experts as well as field testing on teachers at SLB N 2 Yogyakarta.Results: The feasibility of reproductive health audio-visual media for adolescents with intellectual disability based on material experts is 74 points (feasible with a good predicate), the eligibility of media experts is 90 points (feasible with very good predicate), and the eligibility of teachers is 81.5 points (feasible with very good).Conclusion: The design of the audio-visual media that has been made feasible to be tested on adolescents with intellectual disability after passing the revision stage.

Abstract

Menstrual health management is the management of hygiene and health during menstruation period. Health education about reproductive health is important for adolescent to know, so that they have the correct information and knowledge about the topic. Adolescents who have a poor understanding of genital personal hygiene can cause reproductive health problems such as vaginal discharge and reproductive tract infections. So it is necessary to provide information about reproductive health, especially menstrual hygiene management through health education. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and self-awareness of young women about the management of hygiene and menstrual health. The method used in this community service is lecture and discussion. The results obtained were an increase in adolescent knowledge about menstrual hygiene. This is evidenced by an increase in knowledge of 14.84% in the posttest results. Abstrak Manajemen kesehatan menstruasi merupakan pengelolaan kebersihan dan kesehatan pada saat mengalami menstruasi. Pendidikan kesehatan tentang kesehatan reproduksi penting untuk diketahui oleh remaja agar mereka memiliki informasi dan pengetahuan yang benar tentang topik tersebut. Remaja yang memiliki pemahaman yang kurang tentang personal hygiene genitalia maka dapat menyebabkan terjadinya gangguan kesehatan reproduksi seperti keputihan dan infeksi saluran reproduksi. Sehingga diperlukan adanya pemberian informasi tentang kesehatan reproduksi khususnya manajemen kebersihan menstruasi melalui pendidikan kesehatan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran diri remaja putri tentang manajemen kebersihan dan kesehatan menstruasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ceramah dan diskusi. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang hygiene menstruasi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 14,84% pada hasil posttest. Keywords: Adolescent, Health Education, Knowledge, Menstrual hygiene management

Abstract

Infeksi saluran kemih (ISK) merupakan tumbuh dan berkembang biaknya bakteri dalam saluran kemih. Pada anak dengan ISK ditandai dengan demam. Demam merupakan respons tubuh terhadap infeksi yang ditandai dengan kenaikan suhu permukaan tubuh. Penanganan demam pada anak dengan ISK bergantung pada peran ibu. Sehingga perlu dilakukan penerapan pendidikan kesehatan tentang tatalaksana demam pada anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis penerapan pendidikan kesehatan pada ibu tentang penatalaksanaan demam pada anak dengan Water Tepid Sponge. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus, dengan menggunakan satu sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan skor pengetahuan ibu tentang penanganan demam pada anak sebesar 60%, dari 40% menjadi 100%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pondok pesantren Al-Miftah belum pernah mendapatkan Pendidikan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS), baik secara individu maupun lingkungan di pondok pesantren. Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat merupakan hal yang penting diterapkan di pesantren. Karena lingkungan pesantren yang tidak kondusif dalam hal PHBS akan sangat rentan terkena masalah kesehatan. Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat adalah perilaku kesehatan yang dilakukan atas kesadaran sehingga dapat menolong dirinya sendiri di bidang kesehatan. memberikan pendidikan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di pondok pesantren. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ceramah tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di lingkungan pondok pesantren Al-Miftah dengan jumlah 50 santriwan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner pengetahuan PHBS di Pondok pesantren. Uji statistik yang dilakukan paired samples t-test. Hasil uji statistik paired samples t-test menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,000 yang berarti ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS). Pengabdian masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar dengan hasil peningkatan pengetahuan individu tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di lingkungan pondok pesantren Al-Miftah.  Kata Kunci: Pondok Pesantren, PHBS, Pendidikan Kesehatan  ABSTRACT Al-Miftah Islamic boarding school has never received education on clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), both individually and environmentally in islamic boarding schools. Clean and healthy living behaviors are important to be applied in Islamic boarding schools. Because the islamic boarding school environment that is not conducive in terms of PHBS will be very vulnerable to health problems. Clean and healthy living behaviors are health behaviors that are carried out on awareness so that they can help themselves in the health sector. provide education on clean and healthy living behaviors in Islamic boarding schools. The implementation of this community service activity is a lecture on clean and healthy living behaviors in the Al-Miftah Islamic boarding school environment with a total of 50 students. The instrument used is a PHBS knowledge questionnaire at the Islamic boarding school. Statistical tests carried out paired samples t-tests. The results of the paired samples t-test statistical test show p-value 0.000 which means that there is an influence of health education on the level of knowledge about clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS). This community service went smoothly with the results of increasing individual knowledge about clean and healthy living behaviors in the Al-Miftah Islamic boarding school environment.    Keywords: Islamic Boarding School, PHBS, Health Education

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik demografi dengan pengetahuan remaja tunagrahita tentang seksualitas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan adalah remaja tunagrahita ringan dan sedang yang ada di SLB N 2 Yogyakarta. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai p0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara karakteristik demografi dengan pengetahuan seksual pada remaja tunagrahita.

Abstract

Chocolate cyst or what is often called endometriosis is a functional endometrial condition that experiences cyclic bleeding. Treatment of endometriosis can be done by laparotomy. One of the nursing problems that often arises in post-laparotomy patients is severe pain or acute pain. Pain can affect various things, such as physical, behavioral, and also affect daily activities. Thus it is necessary to handle it so as not to give a negative influence. One of the relaxation techniques that can be used to reduce postoperative pain is the finger hold relaxation technique or often called the finger hold. This type of research is a case study research, which was conducted on 1 patient, namely Mrs. N. She is the first day postoperative laparotomy patient. The focus of this study is the application of finger-hold relaxation therapy to reduce post-laparotomy pain in chocolate cyst patients. Finger hold therapy is taught and carried out 2 times a day, at least 4 hours after administration of analgesic drugs, namely in the morning before taking the medicine and in the afternoon after lunch. Before and after being given the finger-hold relaxation intervention, the patient's perceived pain scale was measured. Measurement of the pain scale using the Verbal Descriptive Scale" and "Wong Baker Pain Rating Scale". The results of this study showed that finger-hold relaxation therapy for 2 times a day in 2 days showed that the results of finger-hold relaxation could reduce the scale of postoperative laparotomy pain, from moderate pain to mild pain. Nurses are expected to apply finger-hold relaxation therapy as a management procedure in postoperative laparotomy patients with chocolate cysts.

Abstract

Menarche adalah haid pertama kali yang terjadi pada wanita, dan merupakan ciri khas dari kedewasaan seorang wanita. Masa remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari masa kanak-kanak menuju masa dewasa, pada masa itu, seorang individu mengalami perubahan baik perubahan secara fisik, psikis, dan sosial yang berhubungan dengan keseluruhan masa transisi dari anak-anak ke dewasa dan kematangan seksual. Edukasi mengenai menarche ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman pada siswi Sekolah Dasar Negeri Tanjungharjo, Kabupaten KulonProgo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada jenjang kelas IV, V, dan VI yang termasuk pada masa normal terjadinya mentruasi pertama kali dalam siklus menstruasi wanita. Siswi Sekolah dasar tersebut pada awalnya mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang menstruasi dari orang tua yang seringkali informasi tersebut belum lengkap. Peserta keseluruhan yang mengikuti kegiatan edukasi ini berjumlah 33 peserta. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengan menggunakan media visual dan simulasi menggunakan menstrual kit dilakukan untuk memudahkan peserta memahami secara langsung edukasi menstruasi pertama (menarche). Setelah siswi mengikuti edukasi menarche ini terlihat adanya peningkatan pemahaman sebanyak 17,16% dari hasil posttest dari total 33 responden yang mengikuti acara edukasi ini.
