Abstract

ABSTRACTPR IPM SMK Muhammadiyah 01 South Tangerang is a student institution based in SMK Muhammadiyah 01 South Tangerang. Since the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the climate of school life, this student institution has experienced difficulties in running its organizational wheels. The new habit pattern demands a change in the system and framework that has become the standard of work since the previous management periods. However, the adaptation of an organization, especially a student body, to the demands of new habit patterns is not an easy thing. The subgroup of Group 11 KKN UMJ 2021 took the initiative to provide education one method of discussion that is relevant to the characteristics of upper-middle-level students, namely discussion workshops. This program will be run through a technology-based community development approach, with direct practice methods through an online system. Through this community development approach, the program will be run in a participatory manner by proactively involving partners in every work agenda. The subgroup of Group 11 KKN UMJ 2021 will be the facilitator of this online workshop discussion practice, with the hope that through this program, PR IPM SMK Muhammadiyah 01 South Tangerang can get a new instrument that is useful in running the organization. Keyword: Workshop Discussion, Community Development, Direct Practice Method

Abstract

The learning process is a process of communication between teachers and students through verbal language as the main medium for delivering learning material. In these conditions, the learning process is very dependent on the teacher as a learning resource. However, not all learning materials can be presented by the teacher directly. To learn how living things live on the seabed, it is impossible for the teacher to guide students directly to the bottom of the ocean, or to cut open the human chest just to learn how the human organs work. However, teachers can use a variety of tools in delivering learning material. Learning aids are what is meant by media or learning aids. In learning Aqidah Akhlak, so that the learning material provided is easier for students to understand, media is needed that helps the delivery process. Through the media (aids), it is hoped that the same perception will occur between teachers and students and can increase children's learning motivation inside and outside the classroom. Moreover, Learning Aqidah Akhlak, namely education that is very important for human life, especially in achieving inner peace and mental health in general. Audio Visual media can be used as an alternative to learning Akidah Akhlak to make it easier for children to increase motivation in learning. Keywords: Audio Visual Media, Learning Aqidah Akhlak, and Motivation

Abstract

Homeschooling is an alternative approach to education that is currently a topic of extensive discussion within the community, among parents, and among educational professionals. This discussion often revolves around concerns related to how children socialize when they are educated at home. In homeschooling, parents take on the responsibility for their child's education and are directly involved in the teaching process. Research indicates that homeschooling is gaining traction in Indonesia due to a lack of trust in formal schools. This lack of trust is rooted in concerns about constantly changing curricula, perceived burdens on students, a sense that children are treated as objects rather than active learners, limitations in nurturing children's creativity and intelligence, as well as emotional, moral, and spiritual considerations. Additionally, parents are worried about the negative external influences their children might encounter and express dissatisfaction with the formal school system. However, one notable drawback of homeschooling is that it tends to result in lower levels of horizontal socialization, meaning that homeschooled students may have limited exposure to a socially diverse and pluralistic environment. They are more likely to be isolated from broader social interactions. This study takes the form of a case study, and its main objective is to describe and understand the perceptions and backgrounds of students who participate in homeschooling, as well as to explore the challenges and issues associated with this educational approach.
