Abstract

Indonesian government has made improving basic education a priority, and indicated that it sees technology as a way to provide teachers with the means to teach innovative lessons while closing the performance gap between rural and urban schools and between poorer and richer provinces. The role of technology must be aligned with the existing education ecosystem. It should not replace the traditional education system that involves teachers, schools, universities and parents, albeit offering wide range of information and allowing independent learning. Education is not only about learning in school, but also building a character. That is why the role of technology is intended as a tool to support the learning process, to open access, and improve quality. This paper describes the efforts taken by the Indonesian government in supporting and expanding the use of technology in the field of education in Indonesia. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effectiveness of mass media and political attitude through students participation in president election 2014 at SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo, Pringsewu. The method that is used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive ex-post facto approachment. That the sample of this research are 26 respondenses. The data collecting technique was using quesionare and the data analysis was using regression. Based on the result and hypothesis, it will be concluded that heres an influence of mass media and political attitude through students participation in president election in 2014 at SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo, Pringsewu, in the amount of 58,8%.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan pengaruh media massa dan sikap politik terhadap partisipasi politik siswa dalam pemilu presiden tahun 2014 di SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo Kabupaten Pringsewu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif dengan pendekatan deskripstif ex post facto yang sampel penelitian berjumlah 26 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media media massa dan sikap politik terhadap partisipasi politik siswa dalam pemilu presiden tahun 2014 di SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo Kabupaten Pringsewu sebesar 58,8%, oleh karena itu siswa harus selalu di berikan arahan dalam setiap pemilu agar siswa ikut berpartisipasi dalam pemilu.Kata kunci : media massa, partisipasi politik, sikap politik
