Abstract

Title : The Growth and Quality of Anthurium hookeri  on Various Boron Application. Anthurium hookeri is one of ornamental plants having high economical and aesthetic value, however they growth slowly. For accelerate their growth can be done by giving accurate nutrient and appropriate concentration. Boron is one of essential nutrient for plant having important role in cell wall and translocation carbohydrate. The aim of this research is to study the effect of applying boron on growth of A. hookeri and to find out the appropriate boron concentration for growth of A. hookeri. The research was arranged based on Split Plot Design with 2 factors and 4 replicates. The main factor was the kind of A. hookeri (green and red) and the sub plot was boron concentration with 4 levels e.i (0; 0,3; 0,6; and 0,9 ppm). The data observation ware analyzed by variance analysis and continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test in level 95 %. The research showed that there was no interaction between the kinds of A. hookeri and boron concentration. Application boron 0,3 ppm increase plant height, number of leaf, and width of leaf red A. hookeri, application boron 0,9 ppm rise plant height, number of leaf, width and quality of the green A. hookeri. Key words: A. hookeri, boron, growth, quality

Abstract

Design of Information System for Monitoring of Production and Activities between Divisions Abstract: Production is a fundamental function in every organization, which includes activities responsible for creating value-added products that are the output of every industry organization. The current system has not been integrated with other divisions, so it makes the old marketing to know the production process has arrived, due to the long time to copy the production data made in the main division of production. To overcome these problems, then made a web-based production information system, so it can provide convenience for companies in managing production data. This research uses RAD method where the flow and stage used include requirements planning, system design, and system implementation. With the existence of production information system, then all activities related to the production process will be easy in getting the information various data and reports desired. Abstract

Banana (Musa sp.) is a fruit plant that commonly cultivated in the tropics.  Indonesia has a variety of banana cultivars, each cultivar may a different susceptibility to pests and diseases. This study aims to identify the damage intensity of banana scab moth (Nacoleia octasema Meyrick) on some banana cultivars. The Survey was conducted on banana plantation, while the sample was selected using random sampling. Six banana cultivars were observed, namely Kepok, Raja Nangka, Raja Bulu, Raja Tawi and Mas Kirana. The research variables were the damage intensity of banana scab moth and the physical character of the fruit. The damage intensity recorded the bananas fruit showing the symptoms of scab moth. The result were analyzed by using t test and presented in table or/ and graph. The results showed that the damage of banana scab moth was recorded on all banana cultivars. So, there were not banana cultivars absolutely resistant to N. octasema. The cultivars of Kepok and Raja Nangka were preferred, while Mas Kirana was less preferred by N. octasema. The attack of N. octasema larvae began from the first hand position, whila the highest damage was recorded in the last hand position of banana bunch. The damage intensity of N. octasema on the lowerside of each hand position of banana bunch was significantly higher than the upperside, that even no damage
