Adapun handphone merupakan peralatan yang di ciptakan untuk mempermudah komunikasi. Saat ini handphone tidak hanya beredar di kalangan dewasa saja tetapi anak kecil pun sudah menggunakan handphone untuk berkomunikasi dengan oranglain. Sehingga penjualan handphone semakin pesat dan cepat. Pada saat ini sistem penjualan handphone pada counter Aby Manyu Cell masih dilakukan secara manual, mulai dari pencatatan customer yang membeli handphone, sampai penyimpanan data-data lainnya yang berhubungan dengan proses penjualan hingga sampai pembuatan laporan, sehingga memungkinkan pada saat proses berlangsung terjadi kesalahan dalam pencatatan, kurang akuratnya laporan yang dibuat dan keterlambatan dalam pencarian data-data yang diperlukan. Sistem yang terkomputerisasi lebih baik dari sistem yang manual agar lebih efektif dan efisien serta sistem penjualan yang lebih kondusif di bandingkan dengan sistem yang lebih terdahulu. Selain itu, dikarenakan harga yang terjangkau, Aby Manyu Cell terkadang mengalami kehabisan stok, sehingga beberapa konsumen tidak dapat membeli barang yang diinginkan pada Aby Manyu Cell. Perancangan penjualan handphone menggunakan metode K-Neirest Neighbor ini merupakan solusi terbaik untuk memecahkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada pada counter ini, sehingga dengan sistem yang terkomputerisasi dapat tercapai suatu kegiatan yang efektif dan efisien dalam menunjang aktifitas pada counter ini.
