Abstract

Bronchial asthma is an incurable disease but can be controlled or prevented from recurring. Long asthmatreatment can have side effects such as growth suppression, increased liver enzymes, headaches, nausea andosteoporosis. Therefore it is necessary to use Buteyko breathing technique as an adjuvant therapy. Buteykobreathing technique has the advantage of being easy to do, safe and has no side effects, and requires no cost.On the other hand, buteyko breathing exercises can improve lung function. This study aims to determine theeffect of Buteyko breathing technique on lung function.This quasi-experimental study uses a one group designpretest and post test approach, meaning that it is only conducted in one intervention group and there is nocontrol group. The sample in this study amounted to 14 asthma patients selected from the PulmonaryPolyclinic Of Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung Hospital with consecutive sampling. Buteyko breathing techniqueexercises are done 15-60 in one day, with a minimum frequency of exercise twice a week for 4 weeks.Examination of pulmonary function was carried out using spirometry (FEV1 value) at the first week pretestand the fourth week post test. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with asignificance scale of p <0.05.Paired t-test showed a significantly higher difference (p = 0.00) in the FEV1value after administration of the buteyko breathing technique (69.57% ± 6.836) than the FEV1 value beforethe administration of the buteyko breathing technique (37.43% ± 6,513).It was concluded that there is apositive effect of the Beyko breathing technique on lung function. Thus, it is important to make the results ofthis study as a study material for health workers in hospitals in an effort to improve lung function

Abstract

Lack of parental care for the nutritional status of toddlers during their growth and development period can have a negative impact in the future. This impact will affect their health and can be the initial cause of the incidence of non-communicable diseases in the future. This research is a cross-sectional study that uses simple random sampling technique in calculating the number of respondents and from the calculations obtained the number of respondents is 488 respondents. This study uses a questionnaire as a research tool in which the data tested using logistic regression as a data analysis model. From the biostatistical test, it is known that the factors associated with maternal perceptions are maternal education (AOR: 3.15; 95%CI: 2.03-4.88; p-value: <0.001), knowledge (AOR: 2.35; 95%CI: 1.38-4.01; p-value: 0.002), rate (AOR: 2.08; 95%CI: 1.32-3.26; p-value: 0.001) and income (AOR: 1.99; 95%CI: 1.29- 3.07; p-value: 0.002). From the results of the study, it can be said that the factors that influence the mother's perception of the nutritional status of children under five are mother's education, knowledge, nutritional status, ethnicity and income.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan sangat menjadi perhatian, saat ini masalah kesehatan akibat virus covid-19 menjadi hal utama yang diperhatiakn, banyak metode pengobatan yang telah disosilaisasikan dan diberikan kepada masyarakat di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan, gaya hidup sehat juga dianjurkan kepada masyarakat, protokol pencegahan, penularan covid-19 menjadi hal penting dilakukan untuk memutus mata rantai penularan dengan memakai masker, cuci tangan dan senantiasa menggunakan hands sanitizer, menjaga jarak dan mengkonsumsi makanan bergizi seimbang untuk meningkatkan imunitas, diantara protokol pencegahan covid-19, terdapat penggunaan handsanitizer yang bisa di buat dari bahan-bahan herbal alami yang ada di lingkungan sekitar kita, dan dapat ditanam dengan mudah di sekitar pekarangan rumah diantaranaya adalah daun sirih dengan nama latin piper battle, Pemanfaatan pekarangan rumah merupakan hal yang bisa diakukan selain rumah terlihat bersih dan asri tanaman daun sirih yang kita tanaman akan memberikan manfaat yang luar biasa bagi kesehatan. Daun sirih mengandung zat antiseptik dan dapat membunuh bakteri dan jamur serta memiliki daya antioksidan. Daun sirih (Piper betle Linn) mengandung senyawa flavonoid, polifenol, tanin dan minyak atsiri. Tanaman ini banyak ditemui di Indonesia sebagai tanamanobat-obatan. Hal ini disebabkan karena daun sirih mengandung minyak atsiri yang memiliki sifat anti-jamur atau membasmi kuman dan merupakan komponen yang dibutuhkan untuk menghambat bakteri patogen. Selain memiliki kemampuan antiseptik, daun sirih juga memiliki kekuatan sebagai antioksidan dan fungisida. Kandungan minyak atsiri yang diekstrak dari daun sirih hijau sebesar 4,2 % menyebabkan ekstrak daun sirih hijau mempunyai efektifitas antibakteri yang lebih besar dibandingkan ekstrak daun sirih merah
