Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the social integration of multiethnic communities in a functional structural perspective in Durian Village, Sungai Ambawang District. The research method used is descriptive in the form of qualitative research. The source of this research data is obtained by observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that the process of social integration of multiethnic communities occurred because of the existence of individual sociolinguistic abilities, ethnorelativism attitudes, mechanisms for problem solving, especially persuasively and the application of customary sanctions and the strength of local leadership. Meanwhile, the results of social integration are the creation of social stability because of the acculturation of local wisdom values and the development of a high sense of tolerance resulting in inter-ethnic cooperation and interdependence. Keywords: Social Integration, Multicultural Society, Structural Functional

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru sosiologi jurusan ilmu-ilmu sosial di sekolah menengah atas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru sosiologi jurusan ilmu-ilmu sosial di sekolah menengah atas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru sosiologi jurusan ilmu-ilmu sosial di sekolah menengah atas sudah optimal, hal ini dapat diketahui sebagai berikut: (1) Guru mampu mengenal karakteristik belajar peserta didik dalam hal kekuatan dan kelemahan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran; dan guru memberikan kesempatan belajar yang sama kepada semua peserta. (2) Guru mampu merancang pembelajaran secara kreatif danmampu memotivasi peserta didik. (3) Guru mampu menyusun silabus sesuai dengan kurikulum yang berlaku dan menggunakan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran sesuai dengan tujuan dan lingkungan pembelajaran peserta didik. (4) Guru mampu mempersiapkan dan melaksanakan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan efektif; dan guru terkadang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran. (5) Guru mampu membantu peserta didik dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar; dan guru sosiologi mampu menyesuaikan kegiatan pembelajaran sesuai dengan kemampuan belajar masing-masing peserta didik. (6) Guru sosiologi mampu berkomunikasi secara edukatif.(7) Guru mampu membuat format penilaian yang relevan; dan menggunakan hasil penilaian dan evaluasi untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kelemahan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran.   Kata Kunci : Kompetensi Pedagogik, Guru, Pembelajaran Abstract:This study aimed to describe the application of pedagogical competence of teachers of sociology department of social sciences in high school. The method used is qualitative research with descriptive research method. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this research is the application of pedagogical competence of teachers of sociology department of social sciences in high school. The results showed that the application of pedagogical competence of teachers of sociology department of social sciences in secondary schools is optimal, it can be determined as follows: (1) The teacher is able to recognize the characteristics of learners in terms of strengths and weaknesses of students in learning; and teachers provide equal learning opportunities for all participants. (2) The teacher is able to design a creative learning and able to motivate learners. (3) The teacher is able to create a syllabus in accordance with the applicable curriculum and use the lesson plan in accordance with the objectives and the learning environment of students. (4) The teacher is able to prepare and carry out the lesson plan effectively; and teachers often use information and communication technology for the sake of learning. (5) The teacher can help students overcome learning difficulties; and sociology teacher is able to adjust the learning activities in accordance with the learning abilities of each student. (6) The teacher is able to communicate in educational sociology. (7) The teacher is able to make the relevant assessment formats; and use the results of the assessment and evaluation to determine the strengths and weaknesses of students in learning.
