Abstract

The era of globalization demands progress in all areas including in education. The world of education is the only formal institution to answer all the challenges that occur. This is where the role of the institution of education providers becomes important, because in it there are components of Human Resources in demand to work with professional and good quality work that is expected to be able to improve the progres of the institution. The purpose of this study is to determine the picture of Compensation and Competence and Employee Performance at Widyatama University. In addition, this study also aims to determine how much Compensation and Competence will together afect employee performance at Widyatama University. This research was conducted on Employees at Widyatama University with 66 respondents. The data collection technique is done through questionnaire and direct observation and using descriptive analysis method verifikatif. As for testing the hypothesis used multiple regression analysis method to test the hypothesis used t test and F test at the level of α = 0.05 with the help of SPSS Version 20 and Microsoft Excel program. Based on the results of research shows the picture that the compensation of employees are in good category, employee competence is in good category, and Employee Performance is in good category. There is a positive influence and significant variable Compensation to Performance of 0.467 or 46,7%, while the Competence variable significantly influence Employee Performance of 0.321 or 32,1%. The effect of simultaneous Compensation and Competence on Performance of 0.576 or 57,6% and the rest of 0.424 or 42,4% is another variable that is not examined. The conclusion of this research is there is significant influence between Compensation and Competence to effort of improvement of Employee Performance at WidyatamaUniversity.

Abstract

Retailing is the entire business activity associated with selling and providing services to end consumers. The retail business in Indonesia is progressing well which is always followed by very intense competition between companies. Although retail sales are on the rise, according to the financial statements for 2018 PT. Hero Supermarket Tbk shows a decline and loss is supported by the closing of several Giant Express stalls in various cities. As such, this study aimed to determine whether product completeness and location influenced the buying interest in Giant Express supermarkets. A total of 100 respondents were surveyed, using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis techniques used in this study are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, descriptive and hypothesis test. The results show that 1) Product completeness has a partial and significant effect on Consumer Buy Interest, 2) Location has a significant and significant effect on Consumer Buy Interest, and 3) Product completeness and Location Equity has a significant impact on Consumer Buy Interest.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the growth rate of hypermarkets in Bandung. This of course will affect the number of people who shop in modern markets or hypermarkets. Shopping service providers must prepare the best strategy to attract consumers, because with the emergence of new outlets, consumers have more choices. Lotte Mart hypermarket is one of the outlets affected by this imbalance. It can be seen from the number of outlets between its competitors, namely Indomart. The problem in this study is "what factors influence a person's decision to choose to shop at Lotte Mart". Specifically focused on two variables, namely Service Quality and Reference Group. The purpose of this research is to be able to study the influence of these two variables in influencing consumer decisions in choosing to shop at Lotte Mart. The population in this study are Lotte Mart hypermarket consumers. The number of samples used in the study were 100 random consumers, using the accidental sampling method with a random sampling approach. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive percentage analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there is an influence of Service Quality and Reference Group on consumer decisions. Simultaneously the effect based on the F test was obtained a value of 11.776. This study concludes that Service Quality and Reference Group have a positive and significant effect on consumer decisions in choosing to shop at Lotte Mart.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dimensions or variables, motivation and work discipline on employee performance. The research method uses a survey method using a questionnaire distributed to 51 MNC Sky Vision employees. While the instrument quality testing techniques include validity, reliability and normality tests. And data analysis techniques using quantitative analysis, while for hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. based on the results of the t test (partial) conducted that the motivation variable does not affect the performance of employees, while for work discipline variables affect the performance of employees. Based on the F test (simultaneous) motivation and work discipline simultaneously have a positive effect on employee performance. But, in relation to the independent variable on the dependent variable, motivation and work discipline only have an effect of 42.3% on employee performance and 57.7% are influenced by variables not examined in this study. Limitations of the study: An analysis of the influence of motivation and work discipline is only done in one branch and only two dimensions or variables are tested. It is expected that the application of motivation can be formulated and adjusted to the existing working conditions in the company. Keywords: Motivation, Work Discipline, and Employee Performance
