Abstract

Abstract Extensive rice production invites a variety of problems, especially in the harvest and postwar processes. Many times over the harvesting does not end in their capacity. Crop loss resulting from failure in management is still the dominant culture that dominates agricultural activity. This, of course, is a new problem because it would affect the income of farmers in enormous Numbers and in considerable Numbers. Moreover, the quality produced without a good post-harvest prsoses would significantly affect the quality of the production itself. An alternative solution to address the problem was aimed at empowering farmers in the implementation of good handling practices (GHP), and of course, would increase the more specialized farmers' bargaining in the economic, social and sustainable areas of the agricultural culture in the agricultural communities themselves.

Abstract

Group dynamics is one way to attract the interest of young people today to be interested in agriculture, especially rice farming. The current Covid-19 pandemic, the younger generation can carry out farming activities to fill leisure activities due to the large-scale social restrictions policy (PSBB). This study aims to analyze the factors that simultaneously influence group dynamics and the interests of the younger generation, and formulate appropriate strategies to increase the interest of young people through group dynamics in rice farming activities. The study was conducted in Baleraja Village and Situraja Village, Gantar Subdistrict, Indramayu Regency in March to June 2020. The population in the study was 62 people who were members of the farmers group, all of whom were research respondents. The variables in this study are individual characteristics, social support, group dynamics and the interests of young people. Primary data collection using instruments in the form of questionnaires. Data were processed using descriptive analysis and path analysis techniques. The results of the study on the interests of the younger generation were in the medium category with a share of 51.6 percent. The interest of the younger generation is directly affected by group dynamics. The social environment has a direct effect on group dynamics and an indirect effect on the interests of the younger generation. Strategies to increase the interest of young people can be done through strengthening group dynamics and developing the social environment. The development of the social environment can also be done to strengthen the dynamics of farmer groups. group dynamics and interests of the younger generation. Abstract

Management of plant pest organisms results in considerable damage by quantity and lowered quality of the plant. The location survey carried out an interview with a supervisor explaining that the shed on unified pest control rice in the fields used refugia plants was previously carried out by farmers in some villages, one of the purbahayu villages, refugia plant planting less than the next growing season. The study is conducted in the Pangandaran District. Counting from march-july 2020. Assessments were obtained based on the farmers' criteria for raising rice in rice field and already applied pest control with refugia plants mixed in grouping with the village targeted by the Purbahayu village. The research approach uses age, education, a broader range of resources, information sources, communication channels, communicators, and innovators. With the result that the diffusion of innovation is affected by a powerful pellet by the role of distillers as innovators, resource information, and refining roles as communicators.
