Abstract

Pasirbesi (magnetit) merupakan salah satu hasil pelapukan batuan di daratan dan abrasi pantai oleh pemusatan gelombang dan arus sejajar pantai. Tujuan penelitian menentukan keterdapatan pasirbesi di sekitar Pantai, Kepulauan Talaud, Sulawesi Utara. Metode penelitian meliputi karakteristik pantai, pemercontohan sedimen, analisis megaskopis dan mineral butir disertai fotomikrograf. Tipologi  Pantai Beo terdiri dari pantai berkantong pasir dan berbatuan. Endapan Magnetit umumnya  menempati pantai berkantong pasir yang sebagian membentuk tanggul gisik. Kadar persentase magnetit (% Fe) antara 0.139 % - 38.11 %.  Anomali magnetit dengan kadar kisaran antara   21,414 %  dan  38,106  %  dijumpai  di Pantai Beo, Maririka dan Pantai Batumbalango. Lingkungan keterdapatan magnetit dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas pergerakan tektonik aktif Resen yaitu terangkatnya terumbu karang. Genesa magnetit  terkonsentrasi  oleh media cair bergerak sebagai endapan plaser pantai yang dipengaruhi oleh fluviatil. Keterdapatan Magnetit  diduga berasal dari Batuan Gunungapi Pampini, batuan campuraduk Bancuh Karakelang dan  Batuan Ultramafik Kabaruang.Kata Kunci : Magnetit, Karaktersitik pantai, aktivitas tektonik, endapan plaser, sumber batuan, Pantai Beo.Ironsand (magnetite) is one of the mineral potential in some coastal areas of Indonesia, which is related to the presence of andesitic-ultramafic rocks. Therefore Beo coast and its vicinity are then selected as the object of investigation. Magnetite is accumulated as the alochton deposit as the product of rocks weathering in land and coastal abrasion processes are formed by waves and currents parallel to the coast. The methods of investigation include coastal characteristics mapping, positioning, sediment sampling, megascopic and grain minerals analysis with photomicrograph. Coastal characteristics of Beo consist of pocket beach and rocks. Magnetite deposits are usually occupies a pocket beach which is partially formed Berm. The percentage of magnetite content ranging from 0.139% - 38.11%.  Anomalies magnetite grading between 21,414 %  dan  38,106 %  found in Beo, Maririka and the Batumbalango Beach. Magnetite environment is impacted by tectonic movements active in Resen vertically namely the lifting of coral reefs. Magnetite is concentrated on the formation of moving liquid media as placer beach types affected fluvial. The presence of magnetite supposed to be derived from Pampini Volcanics,  and mixture of heterogenous rocks Karakelang Melange and Kabaruang Ultramafics. Abstract

Daerah penelitian terletak di perairan antara Pulau Batam dan Pulau Bintan (Selat Riau), termasuk ke dalam wilayah Kotamadya Batam dan Kabupaten Bintan, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pengambilan posisi (navigasi), pengukuran kedalaman dasar laut, pengamatan dan pengambilan contoh sedimen pantai, pengambilan contoh sedimen dasar laut, serta analisis laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui sebaran pasir pasir laut, serta ketebalannya berdasarkan karakteristik ukuran butirannya, agar potensi bahan galian tersebut dapat diketahui. Berdasarkan analisis ukuran butir sedimen di pantai Pulau Batam dan Pulau Bintan diketahui berukuran pasir, kerikil pasiran, pasir kerikilan dan lanau pasiran, sedangkan sebaran sedimen dasar laut terdiri dari: kerikil pasiran, pasir kerikilan, pasir, pasir lanauan dan lanau pasiran. Kedalaman sedimen pasir di pantai Pulau Batam antara 1 meter sampai 2,6 meter, sedangkan ketebalan sedimen pasir di Pulau Bintan antara 0,6 meter sampai 2 meter. Kata Kunci: sedimen, ukuran butir, pasir, bahan galian, Selat RiauThe study area is located in offshore area between Batam and Bintan Islands (Riau Strait), including of Batam and Bintan regency, Kepulauan Riau Province. The research methods carried out were position taking (navigation), depth of seabed measurement (bathymetry), observation and coastal sediments sampling, seabed sediments sampling, and laboratory analysis. The objectives of the study is to know the sand beach and sea sand distribution and its thickness based on characteristics of grain size, as well as to know those construction materials. Based on sediment grain size analysis on the Batam and Bintan islands, sand beach consists of: sand, sandy gravel, gravelly sand and sandy silt, while seafloor surficial sediments distribution consist of sandy gravel, gravelly sand, sand, silty sand and sandy silt. The depth of sand sediment on Batam beach is between 1 to 2.6 meters, while the depth of sand sediment in Bintan Island coastal is between 0.6 meters to 2 meters. Abstract

Secara regional daerah Bangka merupakan bagian dari Jalur Granit Utama Pembawa Timah.  Daratan nya ditandai oleh intrusi Granit Klabat yang merupakan batuan penting sumber endapan plaser. Untuk mengetahui lembah purba  maka dilakukan perekaman seismik saluran tunggal. Daerah penelitian secara administratif merupakan bagian dari wilayah Kabupaten Bangka Tengah, Propinsi Bangka Belitung. Perairan  Tanjung Berikat dan sekitarnya dicirikan oleh kelerengan dasar laut rata-curam dengan  kedalaman terukur antara 0-45 meter. Interpretasi seismik saluran tunggal menunjukkan stratigrafi seismik dari muda ke tua yaitu Runtunan A, Runtunan B, intrusi, dan Runtunan C sebagai dasar akustik. Ketebalan sedimen Runtunan A antara  5-30 meter dari  permukaan dasar laut. Lembah purba memanjang cukup lebar dan dalam pada Runtunan B yang diduga sebagai fasies pengisian lembah berupa onlap fill.  Fasies ini memiliki internal reflektor bebas pantulan-kaotik yang ditafsirkan sebagai wadah mineral plaser dan mineral ikutan pembawa  unsur tanah jarang. Endapan plaser diperkirakan merupakan  hasil pengerjaan ulang batuan granitoid.Kata Kunci : Dasar laut, runtunan stratigrafi, lembah/alur Purba, endapan plaser, dan Perairan Tanjung Berikat dan Sekitarnya, Bangka-Belitung. Geologically regional, the Bangka area is part of the Main Tin Belt Granite. The mainland of the study area is characterized by Klabat Granite intrusion which is an important rock source of placer deposits. To find out the placer availability of deposits on Paleo channel it was carried out for the recording of single channel seismic data. The study area is administratively part of the area of Central Bangka, Bangka-Belitung Province. Tanjung Berikat waters and its vicinity are characterized by the slope of the flat sea floor to steep with a measured depth of 0-45 meters. Seismic interpretation shows seismic stratigraphic from young to old consisting of sequence A, sequence B, Intrusion, and sequence C as acoustic basement. Sediment thickness of sequence A between 5-30 meters from seafloor surface sediment. Paleo channel with an elongated shape that is wide enough and deep in sequence B is interpreted as a channel filling facies in the form of onlap fill. This facies is characterized by the free to chaotic reflector configuration which is interpreted as a place for mineral placer and accessory minerals which contain rare earth elements. The availability of placer deposits is interpreted as the result of reworking of granitoid source rock.Keywords: Sea floor, stratigraphic seismic, Paleo channel, placer deposits, and Tanjung Berikat waters and surrounding, Bangka-Belitung.
