Abstract

This research aims to explore semi-online learning practices as a solution to the digital divide in education in the Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged (3T) regions. This research method uses qualitative research conducted at SMK N A Waingapu, East Sumba and SMP B Merauke, Papua. The data collection technique was through interviews and literature studies which were then analyzed using the interactive analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. This research's results indicate that both schools apply a semi-online learning model to support learning amid limited digital access. SMK N A Waingapu chose to implement a finite face-to-face learning system for students with a weak economy, while SMP B Merauke provided problem modules for students to work on at home. The main obstacle to online learning at the two schools is the digital divide. In addition, SMK N A Waingapu East Sumba and SMP B Merauke also implemented internal policies and took steps to maintain the effectiveness of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. These steps are the implementation of Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period for the Spread of Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19).

Abstract

Dialogic communication plays a remarkably substantial role in sustaining good interactions between teachers and students in the shared-learning process inside the class. Within a case study approach, this research explores dialogic communication's role in increasing teacher-student interaction in Eksperimental Mangunan Elementary School's shared-learning process. The research's data collected through in-depth interviews with two teachers and six students combined with external observations. There are three notable findings: the teachers act as a facilitator who helps and motivate students; the teachers act as a midwife who helps students in the shared-learning process; and students act as subjects of open and participatory learners. A comfortable atmosphere in the shared-learning process helps to increase students' participation. This research intended to provide an overview of the importance of applying dialogical communication in the shared-learning process.

Abstract

Teaching factory learning plays a significant role in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit, which is the process of developing and implementing creativity and innovations to improve the economy. This research aims to determine the management of teaching factory learning in developing the students' entrepreneurial spirit at SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research method applied is a case study method with data collection through in-depth interviews. The research results show that the teaching factory learning management has been running well—as can be seen from the optimal functioning of each management function. However, it is necessary to develop more specific teaching factory learning to be competent to provide a more tangible picture for each student, especially in developing an entrepreneurial spirit. With this research, an overview of implementing the teaching factory learning practice that is appropriate, correct, and effective can be discovered in more depth.
