Abstract

Maria hand sanitizer is an innovative product of hand sanitizer based on natural ingredients which formulated from Curcuma zedoria which was produced during the Covid-19 phenomenon. However, as a company that is new to this industry, a reliable and precise marketing strategy is needed. An effective and efficient strategy must be developed by the company by looking at the opportunities, strengths, threats and weaknesses it faces. Through this marketing strategy analysis, it is hoped that the company will be able to determine the right marketing strategy so that it can continue to survive and develop an appropriate competitive strategy to face all possible changes that occur in the company environment. This research method is comparative, which is not conducting experiments on the object of research, but only determining the right strategy for the company in facing competition according to the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) matrix. The research data used are quantitative and qualitative data obtained from internal and external factors in the form of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that internal factors that affect product sales are strengths and weakness, while external factors are opportunities and threats. The formulation of alternative marketing strategies obtained based on external and internal factors is collaboration with partners, product differentiation, joint promotion and for reach a wider market thereby increasing sales.

Abstract

Gel is a pharmaceutical preparation with good penetration power and long contact time with skin so it can overcome the problem of acne. Gelling agent is the main ingredient in gel preparation. Skin irritation test is an important part of the pharmaceutical preparation procedures. In Material Safety Data Sheet states that Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) and Carbopol can cause skin irritation problems. The aim of this research is to find out whether gel preparation of the active fraction of ethanol extract of binahong leave with combination of gelling agent Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) and carbopol can cause irritation on rabbit skin. The irritation test was performed by Draize method on three New Zealand male rabbits who had shaved the back part 24 hours prior to treatment. The irritant samples were smeared and then covered with sterile gauze and glued with plaster. Observations were made after 24, 48 and 72 hours after administration of the test material. Each area observed skin reactions that occur and scored 0 to 4 depending on the severity of skin reactions produced. Of the three gel preparation formulas, the score of degree of irritation was 1, 1 and 1.67, which means slight irritation (0.41-1.9).Keywords: binahong leave, gelling agent, irritation test.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan obat tradisional pada masa pandemi COVID-19 meningkat tajam, karena secara turun temurun obat tersebut diyakini dapat memelihara kesehatan tubuh. Meskipun sudah terdapat program vaksin, namun animo masyarakat terhadap obat tradisional tetap tinggi. Hal tersebut terjadi karena dengan pertimbangan bahwa obat tradisional memiliki beberapa kelebihan salah satunya adalah efek samping yang terjadi relatif lebih kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap penggunaan ramuan obat tradisional dalam upaya pencegahan atau preventif COVID-19 dan jenis tanaman obat yang digunakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observational/survey yang bersifat deskriptif dengan melibatkan sebanyak 100 responden masyarakat Kota Pekalongan melalui instrumen kuesioner yang disebar secara online dan offline yang diisi oleh masyarakat Kecamatan Pekalongan Barat, Timur, Utara dan Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap sumber keputusan penggunaan ramuan obat tradisional sebagai upaya pencegahan COVID-19 adalah keinginan sendiri (72%), tujuan mengkonsumsi ramuan obat tradisional untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh (78%), penggunaannya dapat mencegah COVID-19 (72%), ramuan obat tradisional memberikan manfaat (87%), ramuan obat tradisional aman jika digunakan secara tepat dan rasional (52%), masyarakat memperoleh ramuan obat tradisional dengan cara mengolah sendiri (52%). Jahe adalah jenis herbal yang paling sering digunakan masyarakat di wilayah Kota Pekalongan sebagai pengobatan dalam rangka pencegahan COVID-19 (53%).

Abstract

Buah alpukat (Persea americana, Mill.) berasal dari Meksiko Tengah yang mengandung banyak nutrisi salah satunya lemak yang tinggi. Pada umumnya masyarakat Indonesia mengkonsumsi buah alpukat sebagai sumber energi yang lebih efektif dibandingkan karbohidrat dan protein. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar lemak yang terkandung dalam varian buah alpukat meksiko, guatemala, dan west-indian yang diperoleh dari pasar Wiradesa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar lemak dalam buah alpukat meksiko, guatemala, dan west-indian sesuai standar SNI Nomor 3746: Tahun 2008. Penelitian ini secara analisis kuantitatif dengan metode sokletasi menggunakan pelarut N-heksan untuk mengetahui dan menetapkan kadar lemak pada sampel buah alpukat meksiko, guatemala, dan west-indian sesuai standar SNI Nomor 3746: Tahun 2008. Hasil analisis pada varian buah alpukat meksiko sebesar 19,55%, buah alpukat guatemala sebesar 12,88%, dan buah alpukat west-indian sebesar 11,55%. Hal ini sudah memenuhi standar SNI Nomor 3746: Tahun 2008 yaitu minimal 8,48%.

Abstract

Coronvirus telah menyebar diberbagai belahan dunia termasuk Indonesia. Coronavirus menyebabkan penyakit pada manusia dan hewan. diIndonesia menggunakan obat tradisional yang berasal dari tanaman herbal yang diguakan untuk meningkatkan kekebalan tubuh diera pandemi COVID-19.   Penelitian ini dilakukan diKota Pekalongan kecamatan Pekalongan Selatan penduduknya berjumlah sekitar 63.052 ribu jiwa penggunaan ramuan obat tradisional yang beragam.Metode Penelitian  yang dilakukan  merupakan  penelitian observational/survei yang bersifat deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan data primer yaitu kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada masyarakat Kecamatan Pekalongan Selatan. Dilakukan penjabaran deskriptif tentang hasil yang sudah didapatkan dari pengumpulan data.Hasil Gambaran penggunaan ramuan obat tradisional pada masa pandemi COVID-19 sesudah pandemi COVID-19 mengalami peningkatan konsumsi ramuan obat  tradisional.  Sumber  pemakaian  ramuan  obat  tradisional  berasal  dari  diri sendiri. Masyarakat mengkonsumsi ramuan obat tradisional agar menyehatkan badan.  Meyakini  bahwa  ramuan obat tradisional  dapat mencegah infeksi  virus. Masyarakat merasakan manfaat ramuan obat tradisional dimasa pandemi COVID-19.  Sebagian  besar  masyarakat  melakukan  upaya  kesehatan  dengan  mencuci tangan. Dan merasakan aman karena tidak ada efek samping dan mudah untuk ditemukan  dan  cukup  terjangkau.  Tanaman  obat  yang  paling  sering  digunakan adalah tanaman jahe dan kunyit yang digunakan adalah rimpangnya lalu serai yang digunakan adalah batangnya.Kata kunci : persepsi, obat tradisional, pandemi COVID-19

Abstract

Citrus aurantiifolia L. is a medicinal plant. Citrus aurantiifolia L as a traditional medicine is based very closely on the concentration of active ingredients, namely flavonoids, which have antipyretic (fever) effects. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of Citrus aurantifolia L. as antipyretic on the physical properties of the syrup preparation and to determine the physical properties of the syrup preparation from the 3 formulations. to come up with the best formula. This type of research is experimental research. Citrus aurantiifolia L by This type of research is empirical research. Citrus aurantiifolia L by immersion method. The syrup preparations were formulated in 3 formulations with different concentrations of Citrus aurantiifolia L, namely 5%, 7.5% and 10%. The body properties of the syrup were tested, namely organoleptic, pH, clarity, viscosity, infusion volume, homogeneity and pleasure. Data analysis to check the physical properties of the syrup is described and presented clearly and in tabular form. The results show that the concentration of Citrus aurantiifolia L does not affect physical properties such as organoleptic, pH, clarity, volume transferred, viscosity and homogeneity. However, it makes a significant difference from the density test, i.e. the higher the extract concentration the higher the density value and conversely, the lower the extract concentration the higher the density value. low separately. Of all the recipes that met the criteria for linden leaf extract concentration, the best one for making syrup was Formula 3 (10%).

Abstract

Gels are semi-solid preparations formed from suspensions made up of large organic molecules and small inorganic particles that permeate the liquid. Sleeping mask It is a skin care product that is used at night (before going to bed). Serious research on natural ingredients is currently being carried out, including research in the field of cosmetics. Among the advantages of natural ingredients is their antioxidant properties, which can disrupt free radicals and cause the use of antioxidants in preventing premature aging. Dragon fruit skin contains compounds polyphenol, anthocyanins and betacyanins which have antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the effect of the gelling agent Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) on the physical properties of gel preparations sleeping mask red dragon fruit skin extract. This study uses an experimental method. Red dragon fruit skin is extracted by maceration in 96% ethanol. This study used 3 gel formulations, with various concentrations of HPMC 5%, 7% and 9%. Physicochemical tests carried out included organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion, irritation and viscosity. The results of the research show the use of variations gelling agent HPMC meets the criteria for the physicochemical test of gel preparations sleeping mask from dragon fruit skin extract which produces the best formula from gel preparations sleeping mask namely formulation III (9%) has the best evaluation.

Abstract

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanii) is a plant that is used as a medicinal raw material among the community, which contains eugenol with analgesic activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of sucrose as a sweetener on the physical quality test of cinnamon extract syrup preparations and find out the best formulations with taste components preferred by the public. The research method uses an experimental method, cinnamon is extracted by maceration using a 70% ethanol solvent. This study was made with 3 formulations, with sucrose variations, namely F1 (62%), F2 (64%) and F3 (66%). Physical quality tests include organoleptic, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, clarity, displaced volume and hedonity. The results showed that variations in sucrose concentrations of 62%, 64%, and 66% had a significant effect on the viscosity value, where the higher the sucrose concentration, the viscosity would increase. The conclusion of this study, the best formula of cinnamon syrup preparations, namely formulation 3 (66%) has the best physical quality test and produces the most popular taste component for respondents.

Abstract

Avocado seeds have antibacterial activity. These antibacterials can be used to clean the skin. Then a formulation of a liquid facial soap was made from avocado seed extract. One of the ingredients that affect the physical properties of liquid facial soap is sodium lauryl sulfate as a surfactant. Sodium lauryl sulfate as a surfactant is known to have cleaning power and can produce a stable and qualified foam. . This study aims to determine the optimal concentration of sodium lauryl sulfate to produce a liquid facial soap that is stable and meets the requirements. This type of research is experimental. Avocado seeds are extracted by maceration method. Liquid facial soap was made into three formulas using varying concentrations of sodium lauryl sulfate FI (0.5%), FII (1.5%) and FIII (2.5%). The physical properties of liquid facial soap observed included organoleptic test, pH test, viscosity test, specific gravity test, foam height test, homogeneity test and skin irritation test in liquid facial soap. The results showed that the use of varying concentrations of sodium lauryl sulfate in FI, FII and FIII fulfilled the criteria for testing the physical properties of avocado seed extract liquid facial soap in the organoleptic test, pH test, viscosity test, specific gravity test, foam height test, homogeneity test and skin irritation test. Of all the formulas that met the criteria for sodium lauryl sulfate concentration, the most optimal formula was formula III (2.5%).
