Abstract

Prokrastinasi akademik adalah perilaku menunda yang dilakukan pada tugas akademik seperti  menunda belajar, menulis, membaca, administrasi kuliah, terlambat kuliah atau praktik dan tugas akademik umum lainnya. Prokrastinasi akademik terjadi pada mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan Kelas Reguler Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh senam otak terhadap prokrastinasi Akademik. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan quasi eksperimen pretest-postest design dengan besar  Sampel 18 mahasiswa. Intervensi berupa senam otak dengan durasi 30 menit, 1 kali sehari selama 30 hari. Perubahan yang dievaluasi yaitu nilai prokrastinasi akademik sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil analisis paired t test ada perbedaan rerata nilai prokrastinasi akademik yang bermakna sebelum dan sesudah senam otak. (P = 0,000), Interval kepercayaan 95% antara 12,243 sampai 14,313. Kesimpulan: Senam otak dapat menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik.Kata kunci: Senam otak, prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a medical disorder is a collection of symptoms caused by elevated levels of sugar or due to insulin resistance. DM is a non-communicable diseases. Riskesdas 2007 in Central Kalimantan diabetes prevalence of 0.9%, but were diagnosed by health personnel by 0.6%. While in the city of Palangkaraya. Prevalence of diabetes of 1.4%, but were diagnosed DM client just as much as 1.1%. This study aims to determine the relationship of the level of anxiety with increased blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus clients in the region of Bukit Pukesmas Hindu city of Palangkaraya. Methods descriptive analytic cross sectional study design. The research sample as many as 65 people. The results showed that the DM Client Anxiety in Puskesmas Bukit Hindu city of Palangkaraya that her blood sugar levels <200 mg / dl was 23.1% mild anxiety and 24.6% were worried. Anxiety DM client that blood glucose levels> 200 mg / dl was 21.5% mild anxiety, and 30.8% were worried. Obtained a significant relationship between the level of anxiety with increased levels of sugar in clients with diabetes mellitus, where respondents blood sugar> 200 mg / dl with a moderate level of anxiety has peluag 5.787 times greater risk than the volunteers were mild anxiety level.

Abstract

Background: Hallucination is one of the symptoms of mental disorders in individuals that are characterized by sensory changes in perception, feeling a false sensory in the form of sound, vision, taste, touch and smell that is felt by the patient, but actually nothing. Hallucinatory can affect to the patient behaviors and sometime can endanger others. By implementing nursing of cognitive abilities and psychomotor abilities be expected to control hallucinatory among patients. This study aims to determine the implementation of cognitive abilities and psychomotor abilities in controlling hallucinatory in Atei Kalawa Menta Hospital, Palangkaraya. Methods: This study was a quantitative study. There were 32 respondents that recruited in this study used purposive sampling methods. The inclusion criteria for this study were patients in Atei Kalawa Mental Hospital who had aged 20-56 and dignosed for schizophrenia. The univariate analysis was used to describe the descriptive statistic. Results: Implementing cognitive and psychomotor abilities towards patients with hallucinatory can decrease the hallucinatory among 17 patients (53.1%) and improve the ability from 19 patients (59.4%) to communicate with others, to do schedule activities, and to follow the medication. Conclusion: By implementing cognitive and psychomotor towards patients who had hallucinatory can bring positive impact in their treatment. It is recommended for health providers to implementing cognitive and psychomotor towards patients who faced hallucinatory.

Abstract

Badan kesehatan dunia atau World Health Organization (WHO) mencatat pada tahun 2009 terdapat lebih dari 7 juta orang meninggal di karenakan insiden kecelakaan dan sekitar 2 juta orang mengalami kecelakaan fisik. Salah satu insiden kecelakaan yang memiliki prevalensi cukup tinggi adalah insiden fraktur ekstremitas bawah yakni sekitar 46,2% dari insiden kecelakaan yang terjadi. Berdasarkan data Rekam Medik dari RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya klien yang mengalami fraktur ekstremitas bawah yang di rawat inap tahun 2015 periode Januari-Februari adalah berjumlah 49 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri klien dengan fraktur ekstremitas bawah di ruang Dahlia RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua klien dengan fraktur ekstremitas bawah di ruang Dahlia RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya, sedangkan analisa yang di gunakan adalah analisa univariat. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah klien fraktur ekstremitas bawah berdasarkan usia terbanyak pada rentang usia 15-21 tahun (22%), jumlah klien fraktur ekstremitas bawah berdasarkan jenis kelamin terbanyak pada jenis kelamin laki-laki (78%), jumlah klien fraktur ekstremitas bawah berdasarkan pendidikan terbanyak yaitu SMA (37%), jumlah klien fraktur ekstremitas bawah berdasarkan penyebab fraktur terbanyak yaitu traumatik secara langsung (61%), jumlah klien fraktur ekstremitas bawah berdasarkan gambaran konsep diri di dapatkan hasil rata-rata terbanyak adalah dengan kategori baik (98%) gambaran diri, (78%) ideal diri, (73%) peran diri, untuk kategori cukup (69%) identitas diri, dan kategori kurang (33%) harga diri.

Abstract

Background: Health professionals especially nursing is demanded to always has given best well-being service for individual family and society. Self-assessment is important in course of up to how does nursing education can to develop ability self-assessment. In course of education, Self-assessment look at tool to identify learning needs, detecting strength and weakness so that student university can to determine which competence that must be studied well. Aim: The aim of the research is to detects influence self-assessment in course of nursing student’s learning at Poltekes kemenkes palangka Raya, particulary in setting learning need priority promoting learning activity. Methods: This research is quantitative used quasi experiment non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Respondents of research were nursing students of Poltekes Kemenkes Palangka Raya, regular class XIVA with total 38 respondents as a group controls and regular class XIVB with total 38 respondens as interventions groups Result: Analysis based value student’s learning needs perception intervention group shows increase learning need perception, Where does intervention group learn more deepen in certain aspects in vital marking measurement with statistics value p = 0, 047, analysis based on method learns that used for this know-how achievement 97% autodidact method Conclusion: Analysis result shows that training self-assessement influential towards aspects in prioritise student’s learning need and learning activity.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted based on an internship of teaching two English Enrichment classes, involving 25 students of Grade 7 in Sekolah Kallista to determine the effectiveness of Providing Sentence Starters and Incorporating Images activities as a part of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method. The research was organised through several procedures, such as designing, implementing, observing, analysing, and presenting. The instruments used were observation, pre-test, and post-test. The students in both classes were first observed and then involved in a series of pre-test, implementation, and post-test so that their improvements could be measured properly using a rubric that assessed their fluency, pronunciation and accent, vocabulary, grammar, content organisation and development, and the duration of their speech as the aspects of speaking skills. Results of the post-test showed that the scores of the students increased from their pre-test scores, proofing that the implementation was effective in supporting students' improving their speaking skills, as well as providing them with an enjoyable atmosphere in learning and allowing them to express creativity throughout the lesson.

Abstract

Background: Caring in nursing is a very basic component, as the heart of profession, Which means that caring is a fundamental component, and central and unique focus of nursing. Caring, which is a core of nursing practice, must grow from self and deepest heart to help other people since being a nursing student so that caring in nursing education, must be placed as main competency in nursing education. The aim of this research to evaluation the efficacy of caring training in improving understand cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies of caring, among students during clinical periodMethod: This research used quasi experiment non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Respondents of research were nursing students of Poltekes Palangka Raya, Semester V, regular class, X-A period, with total of 37 respondents as intervention group and regular class of X-B period with total of 35 respondents as control group.Results: Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Results of research indicated that cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies of caring in nursing students with caring training did not show significant effect (cognitive: p-value = 0,21, affective: p-value = 0.58, psychomotor: p-value = 0.07); however, the average scores were higher among student received caring training The caring behavior showed no difference between male and female students.Conclusion: There is insignificant difference between students with caring training and students without caring training. The training should be modified as suggested in the paper.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of the implementation of appreciative listening using English songs on the development of students' knowledge of various expressions in English. In collecting data, 23 students from various majors and different universities were involved as participants. In this qualitative study, they were interviewed about their experiences in discovering the various uses of expressions in English songs and how their knowledge developed as they tried to explore the meaning of the expressions. They testified that through this learning method, their knowledge of the various units in the language increased and they even promoted this way of learning for other learners. The results showed that the concept of appreciative listening using songs helps learners increase their knowledge of English expressions. The involvement of songs in English courses was also proven to give a positive impact on the learning atmosphere and it also promotes autonomous learning. The results obtained from this study are in line with what researchers have found in the past; this method should be implemented in English learning for the wider community.
