Abstract

The results show that Indonesia is in the second position as the largest country in the world that contributes waste to the sea. This plastic waste is one of the biggest polluters in the sea which can be a serious threat to marine ecosystems. One of the right treatments is the plastic bag diet. This certainly raises various perceptions among the community as an effort to save the environment. This study aims to determine the perceptions of UIN Walisongo Semarang students on the plastic diet program as an effort to save marine ecosystems. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method, with a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the research that has been done, the 193 samples obtained indicate that the perception of UIN Walisongo students towards the plastic diet as an effort to save marine ecosystems is very positive and supports this movement. This is evidenced by the knowledge of students about the use of plastics and its dangers, the impact of plastic on marine ecosystems and about the plastic diet program.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pembuatan jurnal ini untuk mengetahui kajian secara filosofis mengenai konsep kosmologi menurut Ibnu Rusyd dan Stephan Hawking. Kosmologi merupakan suatu ilmu yang membahas mengenai penciptaan alam semesta secara luas yang dikaji dalam berbagai sudut pandang para ahli filsafat dan fisikawan. Problematika bagaimana alam semesta ini tercipta masih menjadi perdebatan dan ragam kajian yang tiada ujung, terutama bagi para filsuf hingga saintis yang banyak memberikan ragam pendapatnya. Salah satu diantaranya pemikiran Ibn Rusyd yang berasal dari kalangan filsuf, yang mengungkap tentang kosmologi bahwa penciptaan merupakan proses mengubah satu sama lain atau mengubah potensi menjadi ciptaan yang sesungguhnya, dan proses ini dilakukan terus menerus dalam periode yang tidak terbatas atau tak berhingga. Serta pemikiran para saintis salah satunya pemikiran Stephan Hawking yang termasuk penganut pemikiran naturalisme metafisik, yang berkeyakinan bahwa alam semesta terjadi karena kehendak alam itu sendiri, dan Hawking tidak mempercayai peran Tuhan atas terbentuknya alam semesta. Tidak ada pertentangan mana yang mesti diterima tentang bagaimana alam semesta itu tercipta,  keberhasasilan sains tidak terlepas adanya hukum alam ciptaan Allah yang membuat manusia berpikir bagaimana alam semesta ini tercipta dan bermula. Keniscayaan hukum alam yang disebutkan dalam al-Qur’an dapat diketahui dengan sains dengan mengamati dan meneliti secara terus menerus.

Abstract

Radicalism does not only revolve around religious ideology, but has also been incarnated in social, political and cultural life. That is, any ideology or thought that has a negative impact (effect) causes a person to become militant and fanaticism can be included in radicalism. Religious radicalism has recently emerged, inviting someone to adapt to other people. This concerns the practice of life (mu'amalah) and worship (ubudiyah), especially regarding the different views on their religion. Different interpretations see that religious law is exacerbated by selfish reasons that lead to the breakdown of harmony in society. What is considered not in accordance with the same understanding, is considered to deviate from the true teachings of Islam. Later, many influential people asked the person to return to the true religious teachings. He views hat religious teachings must deviate from the practice of life. Unfortunately, this true teaching is only based on their own understanding. For him, the teachings he received were considered pure and represented the true and legitimate teachings of Islam. If things like this continue, then surely the internal division of religious communities will be wide open and it turns out that the mass organization movement that smells of radicalism in the name of religion does not only happen to Islam, but also to others. religion.

Abstract

Every religion must have its concept of living in peace with nature, including Buddhism with its theological teachings.  Buddhism is known as a religion that highly upholds a sense of savage love for the preservation of nature.  Buddhism views that there is a relationship between one's morality and nature preservation because events that occur in nature influence each other.  This study aims to determine the perspective of the Buddhist Vihara Mahavira Graha Semarang about living in peace with nature.  The research data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews with Suhu Chuan Ling, then analyzed by descriptive-analytic.  The results of this study are (1) Buddhism has a concern for the surrounding environment to preserve the environment: (2) Living in peace with nature is closely related to the vegetarian lifestyle as the Buddhists in this monastery who adhere to the Mahayana sect;  (3) Buddhism understands that nature is impermanent, so humans need to accept the nature possessed by nature so that the benefits that humans receive also increase.

Abstract

Sudah menjadi rahasia umum bahwa permasalahan lingkungan hidup yang sering menjadi perbincangan masyarakat saat ini adalah masalah sampah. Sampah merupakan permasalahan kompleks dan serius yang dihadapi oleh banyak negara, baik negara berkembang maupun negara maju. Agar permasalahan sampah ini dapat tertangani dengan baik, maka diperlukan kerjasama antar semua anggota masyarakat baik dari pihak pemerintah, instansi swasta, maupun masyarakat pada umumnya. Kebijakan pemerintah tentang pengelolaan sampah perlu ditegakkan agar permasalahan ini dapat tertangani dengan baik. Salah satunya yaitu dengan penerapan prinsip good environmental governance dalam pengelolaan sampah. Masing-masing daerah dapat menyelenggarakan berbagai kegiatan dalam rangka pengeloaan sampah agar kelestarian lingkungan hidup tetap terjaga.
