Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the speech acts strategies used by a gaming Youtuber, Jess No Limit in one of his online-game streaming videos. A mixed-method research design was employed by combining the qualitative and quantitative approaches to data collection and data analysis. The results of this study suggest that a gaming Youtuber most likely use positive politeness strategies to seek agreement, pay attention to his interests, wants or needs, giving away rewards, engaging the viewers in his activities, provide reasons and intensify attention to the speaker. This positive politeness strategy is a You-tuber's strength in communicating to pique the audience's interest and sympathy and gain as many subscribers as possible.

Abstract

Indonesia has been made busy by the circulation of video footage showing the stand up comedian (komika) in a stand up comedy event that offend SARA (ethnicity, religion, ancestry, and group of people). The purpose of this study was to analyze the komika’s materials using forensic linguistic analysis with functional pragmatic approaches. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with functional pragmatic analysis using data analysis techniques (1) speech illocution analysis, (2) speech implicature, and (3) level of speech validity. The results showed that the illocutionary power and implicature of the identified komika could fulfill the elements of leading opinion as an expression offending SARA. On the illocutionary power of speech, it is classified that an indicated declarative and expressive speech can potentially offend the speech partner. Moreover, if the diction is used in the speech, it raises the issue of SARA.

Abstract

Seorang guru harus mampu menyusun dan menggunakan RPP yang dirancangnya dengan baik. RPP yang digunakan harus dapat membantu dan memudahkan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran Penelitian ini penting dilakukan mengingat RPP Merdeka Belajar mulai diterapkan dan digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ingin mengetahui adanya hubungan penggunaan RPP dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka, serta mengetahui tingkat nilai hubungan dari kedua variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi pearson product moment untuk mengetahui tingginya hubungan kedua variabel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara variabel penggunaan RPP dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka pada guru-guru SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Jakarta. Adanya hubungan positif bahwa semakin mampu menggunakan RPP semakin tinggi pula ketercapaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa tingkat hubungan antara penggunaan RPP Kurikulum Merdeka dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka memiliki hubungan yang kuat.

Abstract

The method used in reading class must be able to provide maximum knowledge to students. This study aims to determine the effect of the SAS (Structural Analysis Synthetic) method application on reading outcomes in Indonesian Subject in grade 1st SDIT Islamia. This research using a quantitative experiment design with a sample of 24 students in experimental class and 24 students in control class and data analysis through the classical assumption test and t-test. Results of the study showed that the mean post-test score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. In addition, it is known that the value of tcount > ttable, so it can be concluded that the SAS method application in reading class in 1st grade of SDIT Islamia has a significant influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to collect data and describe the perceptions of the lecturers of socialhumanities Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) about the online learning process that took placeduring the Covid-19 pandemic. This is very important to know because the future withtechnological advances in the industrial era 4.0 learning like this must be faced. The method usedin this research is descriptive qualitative. The approach of this qualitative method is a case studywith a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique in this case study was carried out byentering data from Google Forms into Microsoft Excel. The results showed that there were stilllecturers who stated that they had encountered obstacles in implementing online learning behindthe many lecturers who were ready to face virtual learning situations during the pandemic. Then,the perceptions of social humanities lecturers on the learning process show that the perception ofpedagogic competence is at a score of 66 (sufficient), the perception of personality competence isat a score of 77 (good), the perception of social competence is at a score of 74 (sufficient), and theperception of professional competence is at a score of 78 (good).Key Words: Persepsi, PJJ, Dosen, Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur tanda menurut Charles Sanders Pierce dan juga representasi makna yang terdapat dalam Film Cinta Pertama, Kedua dan Ketiga. Film ini merupakan film bergenre romantis, dengan mengangkat tema tentang keluarga dan percintaan menjadi nilai penting dalam film ini untuk menarik eksistensi di zaman sekarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik simak catat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotik berdasarkan teori Charles Sanders Pierce yaitu ikon, merupakan tanda yang memiliki hubungan kemiripan antara penanda dan pertandanya; indeks, merupakan tanda keterkaitan sebab-akibat antara penanda dan pertandanya; simbol, merupakan tanda yang tidak memiliki keterkaitan antara penanda dan pertandanya. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki 11 data yang mendeskripsikan tentang struktur tanda dan representasi makna pada Film Cinta Pertama, Kedua dan Ketiga. Kata Kunci: Representasi Makna, Semiotik, Film
