Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the process of environmental management and monitoring as a result of the development of the Kahayan Market, which actually has environmental documents. Aspects assessed include community perceptions, water quality and water biota (plankton), and the impact of the development of the Kahayan Market in Palangka Raya City in general. Based on the provisions, the implementation of environmental management and monitoring is carried out by the Palangka Raya City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency as a joint Initiator with the Kahayan Market Manager/Government Market UPTD. These activities were not carried out, so there was no reporting and evaluation of management and monitoring. Laboratory analysis of physical parameters, namely suspended solids (TSS) at observation point A-2, shows that the water condition has passed the Class II water quality standard required by PP No. 82 of 2001, amounting to 50 mg/l. Analysis of chemical parameters shows that the water chemistry conditions have exceeded the Class II water quality standards required by PP No. 82 of 2001, namely BOD content of 3 mg/l; and COD content of 100 mg/l. Total Coliform at the A-1 observation point was 16,000 MPN/100 ml and at the A-2 point was 92,000 MPN/ml. Other chemical parameters such as Phosphate, and Ammonia content have also exceeded the established standard.

Abstract

Abstract

Phosphorus (P) is a nutrient required by plants for saving and transferring energy as well as a component of proteins and nucleic acids. The existence of phosphate in the soil acidic abundant may not be able be used by the plant if the phosphate is in the form is not available. This research aimed to 1). Find out potential phosphate solubilizing bacteria and fungi derived from acid sulphate soil and red-yellow podzolic soil in increasing the amount of avaibility of phosphate to the acid sulphate soil, 2) find out the difference between giving phosphate solubilizing bacteria and fungi derived from acid sulphate soils and soil podsolic yellow red in increasing the amount of phosphate available on acid sulphate soil. This study uses a completely randomized design consisting of two factors, ie phosphate solubilizing microorganism and potency test media. The results showed that first selected fungus (fungus isolates from natural rubber plantations on acid sulphate soils) suppose to beRhizopus sp were able to increase the available phosphate highest at 12,11 ppm compared to control on non-sterile media and at 20,68ppmof control on soils sterile media. Provision fungal isolates treatment derived from acid sulphate soils and red yellow podzolic soil significantly in increasing the available phosphate on acid soils non-sterile when compared to provision bacteria

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of leaching on N-total and C-organic on podzolic soils and acid sulphate soils. This research was conducted for 6 weeks from March until April 2020, housed in the Laboratory of the Department of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Palangka Raya. This research used Complete Random Design (CRD) single factor. There are 6 treatments namely P1 = NPK fertilizer = 0 kg.ha-1 on Podzolic Red Yellow (PRY); P2 = NPK fertilizer = 150 kg.ha-1 on Podzolic Red Yellow (PRY) ; P3 = NPK fertilizer = 300 kg.ha-1 on Podzolic Red Yellow (PRY); P4 = NPK fertilizer = 0 kg.ha-1 on Acid Sulphate Soils (ASS); P5 = NPK fertilizer = 150 kg.ha-1 on id Sulphate Soils (ASS); P6 = NPK fertilizer = 300 kg.ha-1 on Sulphate Soils (ASS);. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The measured variable is the content of N-total, and C-organic in soil and water leaching. Data were analyzed with analysis of variance on the level of alpha = 0.05 and alpha = 0,01. If there is real effect in treatment, The result of HRD (Honest Real Different) level of alpha = 0.05. The results of research showed the higher dose of NPK fertilizer compound given cause increased content of N-total, and C-organic on a red-yellow podzolic soil and acid sulfate soil before leaching and after leaching. The dose of NPP fertilizer Compound that high will increase the content of N-total, and C-organic dissolved in water leaching red yellow podzolic soil and acid sulphate soils.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vermicompost fertilizer on changes in the chemical properties of spodosol as a growing medium for melons and to determine the growth and yield of melons treated with gibberellins as growth regulators. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design. The first factor is the dose of vermicompost 0, 60, 90, 120 and 150 g vermicompost per polybag equivalent to 0, 10, 15, 20 and 25 t. vermicompost ha-1. The second factor is the provision of plant growth regulators Agrogibb 40 SL given in the generative phase consisting of 2 two levels, namely: 0 and 0.5 mL L-1 with 4 replications. The results showed that the application of vermicompost fertilizer on spodosols was able to increase soil pH and available P, but organic C and total soil N tended to decrease, plants were able to grow significantly better. There was no interaction between the application of vermicompost fertilizer and plant growth regulators giberelin on the yield of melons. Kascing fertilizer with a dose of 90 g plant-1, the fruit flesh was thicker and the highest tight weight was obtained at a dose of 120 g plant-1. The application of gibberellin growth regulator with a concentration of 0.5 mL L-1 was able to significantly increase fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit thickness, wet and dry weight of melon plants
