Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian true eksprimentn. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP YP PGRI 3 Makassar terbagi atas dua kelas dengan teknik total sampling terpilih kelas VIIA dan VIIB. Instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu observasi, tes, dan RPP. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan observasi. Data diperoleh dengan dua cara dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VII SMP YP PGRI 3 Makassar dengan menerapkan Numbered Heasd Together NHT dikategorikan memadai. The study was an experiment which employed true experiment. The population of class VII at SMP YP PGRI 3 Makassar. those numbers were divided into two classes by conducting total sampling and obtained class VIIA and class VIIB. The instruments used were observation, test, and lesson plan. Data were collected using the test and observation techniques. Data were then analyzed by employing descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study revealed that the result of explanation text writing skill of class VII students at SMP YP PGRI 3 Makassar by implementing NHT method was categorized as sufficient.
