Abstract

Media pembelajaran interaktif adalah sebuah media yang dibuat guna memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan pembelajar bahasa asing. Media pembelajaran adalah sebuah alat yang berfungsi untuk menyampaikan pesan pembelajaran. Komunikasi tidak akan berjalan tanpa bantuan sarana penyampai pesan atau media. Teknologi computer adalah sebuah penemuan yang memungkinkan menghadirkan beberapa atau semua bentuk stimulus sehingga pembelajaran bahasa asing akan lebih optimal. Pembelajaran dengan computer akan memberi kesempatan pada pembelajar untuk mendapat materi pembelajaran yang otentik dan dapat berinteraksi secara lebih luas yang akan memenuhi kebutuhan strategi  pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda. Abstract

Tanaman bakau (mangrove) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang dapat tumbuh subur di daerah pantai khususnya di sepanjang garis pantai daratan. Salah satu fungsi dari penggunaan tanaman bakau adalah sebagai bahan baku pembuatan batik. pakaian umumnya batik dimulai dengan proses pemberian malam (lilin) ​​pada kain, pencelupan dan pelepasan lilin dengan menggunakan alat-alat seperti canting atau cap, gawangan atau tempat untuk meletakkan kain batik, wajan, kompor anglo atau kecil, malam atau lilin dan pewarna baik dari kimia atau pewarna alami dari tumbuhan seperti bakau dan kulit kayu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh ibu-ibu di kawasan desa Sicanang Medan Belawan adalah bahwa tidak adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi rumah tangga yang sebagian besar nya bekerja sebagai buruh pelabuhan dan nelayan. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya ide-ide dan kemampuan/kreativitas masyarakat dalam menggali kreativitas berbasis sumber daya local mengingat di daerah ini sangat banyak tumbuh tanaman bakau yang dapat digunakan sebagai industri kreatif seperti menggunakan ekstrak tanaman bakau sebagai bahan pewarna batik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat dan ekonomi rumah tangga di Kabupaten Sicanang Medan Belawan melalui pelatihan pewarnaan batik menggunakan bahan baku dari tanaman bakau. Masyarakat juga dibekali dengan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan di bidang organisasi, produksi, administrasi dan pemasaran dari karya batik yang dihasilkan. Produk yang dihasilkan peralatan pembuatan batik, pekerjaan membuat pewarna batik terbuat dari tanaman bakau serta bahan batik yang dapat digunakan sebagai syal, kemeja, taplak meja, saputangan, rok, jilbab dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Modalitas ialah sikap pembicara yang dinyatakan secara gramatikal, bukan secara leksikal terhadap apayang dikemukakan dalam tuturannya. Perbedaan pemaparan tentang modalitas dalam berbagai bahasasangat bervariasi. Modalitas dalam bahasa Minangkabau dialek Pariaman  banyak dinyatakan dengankata dan hanya sebagian dinyatakan dengan frasa.Kata-kata atau frasa yang menyatakan modalitas itudisebut penanda modalitas. Penanda modalitas dalam Bahasa Minangkabau dialek Pariamandikelompokkan menjadi empat yakni : penanda modalitas intensional, penanda modalitas epistemik,penanda modalitas deontik, dan penanda modalitas dinamik.  Bahasa Minangkabau dialek Pariamanmerupakan salah satu anak cabang bahasa Austronesia.Evidensialitas dalam Bahasa Minangkabaudialek Pariaman dikodekan dengan tingkat keterandalan (degree of realibility), keyakinan (belief),kesimpulan  (inference), dan kabar orang/angin atau desas-desus (hearsay).Modalitas dan Evidensialitasjuga terdapat pada bahasa Jerman dan penting untuk dipelajari.

Abstract

The use of academic vocabulary is very important to increase the writing skills and quality of the academic writing of the students. Therefore, Thesaurus software needs to be developed that contains about the academic vocabulary that help the student’s writing and increase the quality of their academic writing, and to reduce the plagiarism. The purposes of the research are; (1) to develop of German language vocabulary with a Thesaurus software that increase the quality of academic writing in German (2) to see the effectiveness of German language vocabulary with a Thesaurus software in increasing the quality of academic writing. The special purpose of the research is increasing the quality of student’s academic writing from German Language Department at the Universitas Negeri Medan with the use of Thesaurus software for German language vocabulary. The method used is the ADDIE Model with five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data is taken from the academic writing of the students of German Language Department and the books that used in the Wissenschaftliches Schreiben’s (Academic Writing) course and then developed into the German Language academic vocabulary Thesaurus software.

Abstract

This research is entitled Development of Website-based Listening Comprehension Learning Media for Beginners. The purpose of this research is to produce a product, namely the learning media of the E-learning website. This study uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the analysis phase, a preliminary study, curriculum analysis, and needs analysis are carried out. At the design stage, an outline of the contents of the website and the preparation of the website framework are made. At the Development stage, website creation, website packaging and presentation, quiz design, testing by media experts and material experts are carried out. At the implementation stage, tests were carried out on small classes and large classes. The evaluation stage includes indicators of media success which quantity evaluates each stage of development. The application used for this development is Adobe after Effects.

Abstract

The general goal of teaching German as a foreign language is that learners can communicate appropriately in writing and orally in German. But in fact this goal can often not be achieved. Many learners in higher education master the German grammar and vocabulary, but they are unable to use German language that matches the social context, because they do not have much pragmatics competence. Pragmatic approach based on the function of language as a communication tool is a study of language by involving various aspects outside the language that are able to provide meaning. Pragmatic competence constitutes a significant factor in determining the success of communication.  In fact, a German language learner in higher education is not only expected to use language and produce utterances which are understandable or grammatically correct, but is also expected to produce utterances which are socioculturally appropriate. However, for students in higher education who learn German as a Foreign Language (Deutsch als Fremdsprache/DaF), the pragmatic competence, which can actually be acquired naturally through social interaction, is quite difficult to acquire due to the limited. On this basis, pragmatics needs to be integrated into German language courses in higher education, which includes pragma linguistics and socio pragmatic. In this regard, this study describes not only the relationship between pragmatics and German as a foreign language, but also this study is an attempt to define its implications in teaching German as foreign language in higher education.

Abstract

Listening skills are one of the skills in learning German. Listening skills are also a very important skill in the learning process to improve German language skills. The ability to actively listen is defined as the process of actively understanding to get information, and the attitude of the speaker whose purpose is to understand the conversation objectively. In the current era of globalization many online learning methods have been applied, one of which is the Blended Learning model. Blended Learning is a combination of face-to-face learning and online learning.

Abstract

At the implementation stage, tests were carried out on small and large classes and at the evaluation stage, it included indicators of media success that evaluated each stage of development. Making media using Articulate Storyline 3 software which consists of material text, images, videos, audio, animations, practice questions and quizzes.

Abstract

This study examines the use of Moodle-Based E-Learning on the website for german reading skills A2. The purpose of this study is to define and explain how Moodle-based e-learning can be used in german reading skills A2 because of the low achievement of students in reading skills and not optimal use of the internet in supporting learning success. LMS is one way to develop online learning or e-learning, which is a web-based learning management application that facilitates learners to learn properly in a virtual classroom, a class in a virtual world. The LMS used in this study is a Moodle-based LMS. An analytical descriptive strategy was used as a research method. Therefore, the use of moodle- based e-learning is very suitable for use in learning German, given that currently the world of education cannot be separated from technology and internet networks, besides that there are many educational institutions that have been facilitated by infrastructure in utilizing existing technology. It is also proven that learning with the Moodle as LMS application is more effective than conventional learning in improving students' reading skills. From some of the results and research findings, several suggestions related to this research were put forward, the point of which is that it is time for a change in mindset in responding to the internet as one of the factors that support learning success.
