Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to make Karangtaruna "Taruna Bakti" Trayeman Pleret Bantul know about AutoCAD software, make product designs using AutoCAD software. The method used in training is through presentations, questions and answers, discussion and practice. The target audience in this community service activity are 15 members of Karangtaruna "Taruna Bakti" Trayeman, Pleret, Bantul. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the results obtained by Karangtaruna "Taruna Bakti" members can recognize and understand the use of AutoCAD software, through the practice activities of Karangtaruna "Taruna Bakti" members who can design aluminum-based products using AutoCAD software. It is hoped that after being able to use the AutoCad software they can design the product and make the product and then sell it, so they will be able to earn income and increase their economic reseliance. To analyze the condition of community service partners, the SWOT Analysis method uses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. With this SWOT analysis we can know internal-external factors and opportunities that can be optimized. One of the potential optimizations can be done by training human resources.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat di Wedi klaten bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang Covid 19 dan pencegahannya dengan cara membuat masker, sosialisasi covid 19 pembuatan masker, pelatihan perawatan mesin jahit. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab serta praktek perawatan mesin jahit. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dilakukan pre tes dan post tes. Berdasarkan hasil post test dan pre tes terdapat nilai post test lebih tinggi dari nilai pre test. Perbedaan nilai rata-rata pre test sebesar 10.88 dan pada post test 18.31 sehingga perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan nilai adalah sebesar 7.44 poin. Sebanyak 93.75% peserta kegiatan mengalami peningkatan nilai dari pre test dan post test dan sebanyak 6.25% yang tidak mengalami peningkatan nilai dari pre test dan post test.  Selain dari hasil post tes dan pre tes, keberhasilan dilihat dari kehadiran peserta kegiatan yang mencapai 100% pada saat sesi diskusi.

Abstract

This research examined the effect of air velocity and the efficiency of double-pass flat plate solar air heater with two glass covers on the performance of solar desalination unit based on heat pump with using humidification and dehumidification processes. This unit consists of a heat pump, humidifier, dehumidifier, and double-pass flat plate solar air heater with two glass covers. The research was conducted in an indoor experiment. Solar energy generated from solar simulator using halogen lamps. In this research the air flow rate was varied at 3 metres per second, 4 metres per second, 5 metres per second, and 6 metres per second, while the intensity of solar radiation at 828 Watts per meter squared. At each variation in air velocity, sea water temperature was conditioned at a constant temperature of 45 degrees celcius, the compressor was operated at a constant rotation of 900 rpm, volumetric flow rate of sea water inlet 300 liters per hour into humidifier and sea water in this system was re-circulated. The research result showed that the volume of fresh water production increases with increasing air velocity inlet into humidifier. This solar desalination unit could produce fresh water maximum 2470 milliliters per hour in air velocity 6 metres per second.
