Abstract

The goal of the research is to analyze the leadership that Jean Valjean shown in Les Miserables Movie directed by Tom Hooper. This research focuses on two aspects, the type and the impact of the leadership. The type of leadership that are found in this movie are (1) Laissez-faire leadership and (2) Servant leadership. While There are three impact of leadership that indeed to Jean Valjean as the main character in Les Miserables, they are (1) Inspiring confidence for others (2) Creating a respectful environment and (3) Increasing loyalty and trust. The Les Miserables Movie is a perfect movie for analyzing leadership, as it tells about the life of Jean Valjean who tries keeping himself in fire even though there are so many inside and outside difficulties in his life as a prisoner and after he has been released on parole. According to (Almaki et al., 2016) leadership is not just about power and authority, but it is a set of characteristics that should be owned by the leader. This movie shows many things to be a good leader who can bring a big impact to people. As a leader we must have faith, forgive the enemies and belief, there will always be a brighter tomorrow. We are all leaders in our lives. So, this movie gives us so many things that we can learn to have better life.

Abstract

This study was conducted determine the effect of transformational leadership style (X1) and employee engagement (X2) on employee performance (Y) at the head office PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with 30 employees as respondents at the head office of PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara. While the data analysis in this study using multiple regression analysis test. The result of the study show : 1) There is a positive and significant influence between transformational leadership style and employee engagement on the performance of PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara head office employee engagement which is shown from the F test result of 21,340 and a significance value 0,000b. 2) There is negative and insignificant effect between leadership style on employee performance as seen from t-test result of – 0,318 and significance value of 0,753. 3) There is a positive and significant effect between employee engagement on employee performance as seen from the t-test of 4,969 and a significance value of 0,000. The result of study were obtained with the regression equation Y = 14,,641a – 0,050X1 + 0,844X2 + e, and the effect was 61,3% and The remaining 38,7%was influenced by variables outside the study.

Abstract

Background : The mixed tooth phase is the most important phase in the growth and development of the child's teeth and jaw. Interseptive treatment is given to children who experience a mixed dental phase, starting at the age of 7-8 years because at the age of 8 year permanent molars and permanent incisors have erupted. Early malocclusion’s treatment can avoid the occurrence of malocclusion and building the confidence in patients. The 2x4 appliance is a tool that provides good stability, which is applied to the first molars and erupted incisors. Conclusion : The corrections of malocclusion do not have to wait until the eruption of all permanent teeth. Waiting for eruption all permanent teeth will aggravate malocclusion and will make the treatment harder, such as treatments that require orthodontic surgical treatment, and extraction of permanent teeth. Treatment of malocclusion at an early age (7-8 years) will ease the correction of malocclusion because it is the age of growth and development of the jaw so the treatment time will be shorter compared to conventional orthodontic treatment.

Abstract

Data WHO menunjukkan perilaku CTPS (Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun) mampu mengurangi angka kejadian Diare sebanyak 45%. CTPS dapat mencegah penyebaran penyakit cacingan, serta mampu menurunkan kasus infeksi pernapasan (termasuk ISPA dan Pneumonia) hingga 25%. Perilaku ini juga mengurangi risiko penyakit lainnya, seperti penyakit mata dan infeksi kulit.Pengabdian telah dilaksanakan di lingkungan SD Alkhairat 02 Kota Ternate, pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2019. Penyuluhan tentang PHBS (Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat) dan CTPS (Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun) dilakukan dengan media video dan slide power-point. Siswa-siswi diajarkan cara cuci tangan yang baik dan benar dengan metode Senam CTPS, dilanjutkan dengan Simulasi CTPS, dan diakhiri dengan games dan kerja bakti.Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yakni siswa-siswi SD Alkhairat 02 Kota Ternate dapat menyadari pentingnya penerapan pola hidup yang bersih dan sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk cuci tangan pakai sabun, serta mengetahui langkah-langkah cuci tangan pakai sabun yang baik dan benar.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe the improvement KPK and FPB learning outcomes with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in class V SDN 06 Piai Tangah. This type of research is classroom action research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The subject of research were teachers and fifth grade students of SDN 06 Piai Tangah. The results obtained in the form of the average cycle I to cycle II are as follows: (1) RPP 82.14% (B) to 92.85% (SB) with an increase of 10.71%, (2) Implementation of learning based on: (a) teacher activity 78.57% (B) to 91.06% (SB) with an increase of 12.49%, (b) student activity 73.21% (C) to 91.06% (SB) with an increase of 17 , 85%, while (3) student learning outcomes (3 domain) 71.48%  (C) to 84.09%  (B) with an increase of 12.61%. It can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can improve the learning outcomes of KPK and FPB in class V SDN 06 Piai Tangah. Keywords: learning outcomes, KPK and FPB, CTL approach
