Abstract

This article aims to reveal the waker tradition in the Anus community of Sarmi Regency of Papua Province. This research on wakers is focused on welcoming ceremony. In this case, Waker as an object of study because of its almost disappearing existence due to the entry of foreign culture into the Anus tribe society such as lemon lemon that is now quite famous in Sarmi. After the entry of these cultures, the Anus people lack and maintain the waker that is one of their characteristics. In addition to the many waker singers who have died, appearing indifferent nature of some local people.The waker tradition was chosen as one of the oral traditions of the Anus community in Bonggo Barat District, Sarmi Regency became the object of discourse study in the form aspect. The focus of the study refers to the type of waker used in a welcome reception called tokour di. This research is deemed necessary to keep this tradition maintained and inherited by the local community. In addition, it plays an important role in the value of education for contributions to the curriculum of teaching Indonesian Language and Literature in poetry learning, as well as the realization of the preservation of oral literature.The results show that the waker text contains the sound of speech that often appears at the beginning of the line and at the end of the line on a particular stanza. Variations of sound are words, phrases, sentences, and particles. In addition, there is also alliteration and consonance. Fourth, Waker is a discourse formed by context. Therefore, in it there is the feldof discourse, the discourse of discourse, and the means of discourse. Discourse feld involves all existing and adapted speakers of waker text with events on tokour event at. Discourse explains about everything contained in tokour in the event. The means of discourse is the way of delivering the waker in oral form in tokour event.

Abstract

The ecological satire is a ecocritical view that is study of critical and satire on environment literature. The satire is the massage delivery medium. Keerom is a area that are environment damage impacts. The problem is the exist of oil palm company. This study aims to describe the forms of ecological satire in the collection of Keerom Children's Voice poems written by students in Keerom. This research used ecocritical approach with discourse analysis method. The research tecniques used data collecting and data analysis. The data collecting tecniques used observation and book view. The data analysis technique through text analysis. The result founds three satire, there are abuse and insult form, nausea, and group or personal demerit telling. AbstrakSatire ekologis merupakan sebuah kajian ekokritik yang mengkaji kritik dan sindiran yang ada pada karya sastra yang berlatar lingkungan. Satire merupakan sarana penyampaian pesan. Keerom merupakan sebuah wilayah yang mengalami dampak kerusakan lingkungan. Penyebabnya adalah adanya perusahaan sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk satire ekologis dalam kumpulan puisi Suara Anak Keerom yang ditulis oleh anak-anak sekolah di Keerom. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan pendekatan ekokritik dengan metode analisis wacana. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan ada dua, yaitu teknik pengumpulan data dan teknik analisis data. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tinjauan kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data adalah dengan cara analisis teks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan tiga bentuk satire, yaitu berbentuk cemooh dan nista, perasaan muak, serta menceritakan kekurangan orang atau kelompok.

Abstract

The texts on Papuan online mass media mostly focused on environmental issues. The texts influence mode and thinking patterns of the readers. The aim of this research is to describe the destructive and constructive impacts of indicative sentences for the readers. The approach used in this research is critical discourse approach with descriptive method. The result shows that the ecological damage of indicative sentences usages are divided into two, namely constructive and destructive impacts. In the constructive impacts, contents, meanings or messages usually influence readers’ thinking pattern and attitude to preserve environment. The positive discourses can change negative ethics into positive ethics. The destructive impacts are sentence usages in environmental discourses in the form of too explicit, vulgar, excessive and detailed texts. The texts influence the attitude and thinking pattern that damage the environment.AbstrakEkosintasis merupakan kajian terapan linguistik yang membahas kalimat-kalimat yang berdampak pada pelestarian dan kebertahanan lingkungan. Jubi Papua merupakan surat kabar yang menarik karena berisi berbagai macam informasi seputar Papua. Masalah ekosintaksis penting dilakukan karena dapat membantu pemerintah dan pemerhati lingkungan untuk ikut menyerukan pemertahanan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkritisi dampak teks dari segi positif dan negatif bagi lingkungan ekologi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan wacana kritis dengan metode deskriptif. Berkaitan dengan teknik, teknik penelitian dibagi dua yaitu teknik pengumpulan data dan teknik analisis data. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan teknik wawancara dan kajian pustaka, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif. Berdasarkan pembahasan, kalimat indikatif berdampak positif yang sifaknya konstruktif bagi lingkungan, serta yang sifatnya negatif berdampak destruktif bagi ekologi itu sendiri.

Abstract

Abstract Nowadays, Sentani language is not used by most of Sentani children in Jayapura Regency. This cannot be ignored since the the extinction of local language will influence the existence of philosophy, mythology, knowledge, history, local wisdom infused in it. The Sentani language teaching program that utilized folklore was conducted in Yoboi village as a language preservation. This initiative utilized Sentani folklore as the learning materials. It was also used as social dissemination of the importance of local language and cultural heritages. The program was executed in cooperation with Rumah Baca Onomi Niphi and SD Ifar Babrongko in August 2021. The learning process was focussed on grade 1-3 of primary school while the activities are mastering vacabulary, writing and speaking using simple sentences. The materials used were folktales, folksongs, games, and dances. In the end of the program, videos of story telling, folksongs, names of body parts, animals and plants as well as counting system that we created were handed to Rumah Baca Onomi Niphi to be used by the children. The program evaluation found out that all the instructors of Rumah Baca, teachers and parents were aware of the importance of local language and decided to teach the children at home, Rumah Baca, school, and society. Abstrak Saat ini bahasa Sentani sudah mulai tidak digunakan oleh sebagian besar anak-anak Sentani di Kabupaten Jayapura. Jika dibiarkan, dikhawatirkan bahasa ini yang merupakan identitas masyarakat Sentani akan punah bersama filosofi, mitologi, pengetahuan, sejarah, dan nilai kearifan yang ada di dalamnya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mengajarkan bahasa Sentani bagi anak-anak di kampung Yoboi sebagai bagian dari preservasi bahasa Sentani agar tetap dapat dipertahankan. Inisiatif ini memanfaatkan folklor Sentani sebagai media diseminasi tentang pentingnya bahasa lokal dan pusaka budaya. Kegiatan yang berlangsung pada bulan Agustus 2021 ini melibatkan Rumah Baca Onomi Niphi, SD Ifar Babrongko dan masyarakat Kampung Yoboi. Pembelajaran difokuskan pada murid-murid SD kelas kelas 1-3 sedangkan kegiatan ditekankan pada penguasaan kosakata, menulis dan berbicara dengan kalimat sederhana. Materi yang digunakan adalah cerita, nyanyian, permainan, dan tarian rakyat. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian ini, video mendongeng, nyanyian rakyat, dan nama-nama anggota tubuh, hewan, tumbuhan, dan menghitung dalam bahasa Sentani yang dibuat sendiri ditinggalkan di Rumah Baca Onomi Niphi agar dapat dimanfaatkan kembali. Evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para instruktur rumah baca, guru dan orang tua menyadari pentingnya pembelajaran bahasa Sentani untuk anak-anak. Mereka pun bersepakat untuk mengajarkannya kepada anak-anak di rumah, rumah baca, sekolah, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Sentani language used by Sentani people in Jayapura Regency is one of 300 local languages in Papua that is not actively used by most Sentani people, especially children. Preservation of Sentani language by teaching it again is needed especially for children so they will not lose their identity. This Community Service is dissemination of a PDUPT research 2017 entitled “Preservation of Sentani Language for Children using Folktales in Jayapura Regency, Papua” founded by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Republic of Indonesia. One of the research output is a text book of Sentani language teaching for children. This book is used to teach Sentani Language for children in Sentani Customary School in Hobong, Central Sentani, Jayapura Regency. This activity is an initiative of infusing folktales to teach Sentani language for children. Besides involving children, this activity also involved the teachers of the school. Using folktales children learned (1) pronunciation, (2) vocabularies, (3) clause, (4) simple sentences, and (5) counting system. Folktales were also used to introduce them to Sentani’s socio-culture and as media of character building. Keywords: folktales, preservation, Sentani language
