Abstract

The raw material is something important for the company especially for the production process. If the company have too much raw materials, it will result in high cost of purchase, storage, and maintenance at the warehouse. Meanwhile, if a little bit of raw materials owned, it will cause a great loss to the company because they could not fulfill the sales demand. Abstract

Toiletor water closet is ahome furnishingwhich sole purposeis a place for sewage, urine andfeces. Based onvalidity andreliability test,the use ofsquatting closetfor a long periodcan causeleg pain, cramps, tinglingpainin weaklegand knee pain. There are various products and designs of flush toilets which are not suitable for middle to low income people as the price is higher than the squatting closet. The research findings suggested that many people did not have flush toilets at home. It is therefore important to design a prototype to address the problem of squatting closet. The prototype design was in accordance with the respondents’ data based on ergonomics and anthropometric science. The design includes a 20cm high backrest, 37cm seat width, 42cm seat length, 41cm backrest width, and 43cm seat height.  Keywords: validity and realibility test, prototype,anthropometric, ergonomics

Abstract

Abstrak Perusahaan manufaktur terbiasa untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan keandalan produk, serta proses melalui pencegahan kegagalan. Seiring dengan munculnya kompetitor, perusahaan terus berupaya untuk menghasilkan produk yang terbaik bagi konsumen. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan adalah dengan menekan jumlah defect produk. Metode yang diusulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Multiple Participant yang melibatkan dua divisi terkait, yaitu divisi quality dan divisi production, membagi kategori penyebab jenis defect menjadi lima dimensi (man, machine, material, method, and environment). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beberapa perbedaan dalam urutan peringkat faktor penyebab penurunan kualitas produk. Penelitian mendapatkan hasil peringkat moda kegagalan tertinggi pada faktor mesin-mesin yang masih perlu diperhatikan perusahaan untuk tiap jenis defect. Prioritas utama bagi perusahaan adalah memperhatikan keandalan mesin-mesin yang digunakan dalam proses produksi terkait, dengan mempertimbangkan penerapan preventive maintenance. Kata Kunci: Pengendalian Kualitas Statistik, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logika Fuzzy, Multiple Participant.  Abstract Manufacturing companies usually improve the quality and reliability of their products and processes through the prevention of failure. Considering the increasing competitions, companies constantly make effort to produce the best product for the consumers. One of the effort undertaken was to minimize the number of product defects. The proposed method in this study was the method of Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Multiple Participant which involved two related divisions (quality and production) and divided the cause of defect categories into five dimensions: man, machine, material, method and environment. The research results showed quite significant differences in the order of priority and ranking of failure modes between divisions. The highest rank of failure was on the  machine factor that the company need to be concerned about. Abstract

AbstrakToilet perabot rumah yang tujuan utamanya sebagai tempat pembuangan urin dan kotoran. Berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, penggunaan kloset jongkok dalam jangka waktu lama dapat menyebabkan nyeri pada kram kaki, nyeri kesemutan pada kaki yang lemah dan nyeri pada lutut. Kloset jongkok memang memiliki berbagai produk dan desain yang menawarkan konsep yang sederhana, tetapi tidak sesuai untuk kelangan menengah ke bawah karena harga lebih tinggi dari kloset jongkok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tidak memiliki kloset duduk di rumah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dirancang sebuah prototipe sebagai solusi terhadap masalah pada kloset jongkok. Desain prototipe yang dihasilkan mengacu kepada data responden pada ergonomi dan ilmu antropometri. Abstract

This reseach aimed to measure the mental workload of data entry processing tasks in the e-commerce industry based on mental workload value. It was to determine the factors influencing mental workload mainly induced by the data entry process. The experiments without work instruction and with two types of work instruction were conducted to diagnose the mental workload. The measurement of the initial mental workload condition of data entry employees was conducted in the laboratory. Then, the Electroencephalogram (EEG) measurement using sensors from Emotiv was performed every 30 minutes, and the data of EEG measurements (focus, engagement, and stress) were collected using the laptop. Meanwhile, pulse measurement (heart rate) was measured before and after the work. Raw National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and reaction time measurement were conducted after the work. Through these experiments, the researchers identify that mental effort and fatigue are the significant determinants of mental workload value in the data entry process of the e-commerce industry. In respect of the results of work performance analysis, it is recommended that the placement of work instruction should be near the employee. Then, the task demand (minimum completion target) should be adjusted according to each employee?s capacity.
