Abstract

This study aims to (1) improve the quality of the learning process for faculty and students in a subject PGSD Studies Curriculum Development, through the implementation of the learning design of multicultural and social empathy. (2) Improve student achievement in a subject PGSD Studies Curriculum Development through the implementation multicultural learning design and social empathy. The problem: Does the application of the learning design of multicultural and social empathy can improve the quality of the learning process at the Curriculum Development Review courses for lecturers and students PGSD FKIP Unib? (2). Does the implementation of multicultural learning design and social empathy can improve learning achievement on the Curriculum Development Review courses for students PGSD FKIP Unib. To achieve this goal used method of classroom action research in collaboration with faculty as a researcher, designed by model cycles and analyzed through descriptive, qualitative. The subject involved two lectures in Curriculum Development Studies and 40 students of third semester PGSD FKIP Unib. Results showed the application of learning design multicultural and social empathy can improve the quality of the learning process of student group discussions of productivity in terms of frequency of involvement of members of the group in discussion, effectiveness and quality of communication of ideas / questions, make effective contributions of members in group discussions and the results of the group with good quality, which ultimately affect the increasing learning results in learning Study Curriculum Development.

Abstract

The study entitled An Analysis of Language Symptoms in student’s essays in fifth grade at Elementary Schools number 82 in Bengkulu City, aims to describe the language symptoms that occur in the essays of fifth grade students at Elementary School number 82 Bengkulu city. This research employed a qualitative descriptive study. The data used in this study were a portfolio of assignments written essay by fifth grade students of Elementary School number 82 Bengkulu City with free topics. The focus of the research studied was the forms of habitual pattern changes (reduction), the addition of phonemes, hypercorrect, and pleonasm. The instrument was used in the form of card data to provide identity to the essays and language symptom analysis tables. The data technique used in this research is document study. The research data collected a portfolio of student assignments written in essays on free topics and in accordance with the applicable curriculum. The research was carried out in 2 stages, namely the first was preparation consisting of data and organizing and grouping the collected data, second was data analysis which consists of data reduction, data retrieval, and conclusions or clarification. The results of this study indicated that in the use of language in the essays of the fifth grade students of Elementary School number 82 Bengkulu City, there are language symptoms in the form of (1) phoneme decline or reduction (apheresis, syncope, apocope), (2) additional phonemes or additions (prosthesis, epenthesis, paragog), (3) hypercorrect, and (pleonasm). This can be seen from several words and sentences found in student’s essays do the language symptoms.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of the process and the results of interactive learning through vocational studies Education Technology for undergraduate students PGSD FKIP UNIB. The method of research used class action in collaboration with lecturers model as a researcher. This research was conducted for three cycles. The results showed that learning achievement can effectively improve the quality of the learning process. The study found an innovative model of assessment by conditioned students to build their own potential for self-confidence to appear in the group, openness in accepting criticism, persistence in raising opinions of criticism and attendance as group members. With performance appraisal easier and able to improvise, while students are more proactive in participating.
