Abstract

Competitiveness in the competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is very important to be improved. This is because MSMEs are a force in driving economic development. The purpose of this activity is to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs products Ksatria Jagalan Village, Jebres Sub-district, Surakarta. The methods used are training and mentoring. The results achieved were an increase in the understanding of MSME, actors about marketing which includes aspects: MSME products including quality of product of abon, packaging of abon and labeling related to important information to be conveyed to consumers to increase the skills and existence of MSME. In addition, the factors of promotion of digital marketing era, price, technology-based marketing, branding, innovation and creativity, product competitiveness. The program's achievements are quite satisfactory. This can be seen from the achievements that have been obtained. The improvements made in this activity have made partners produce competitive products. The suggestion for this activity is that mentoring can be carried out continuously under mentoring and evaluation can be carried out periodically.

Abstract

Salted eggs are very potential to be used as a cheaper source of animal protein compared to meat. Salted eggs of various flavors have not been popular in Sragen Regency, so they have the prospect of being developed as a new culinary. Housewives in Mojomulyo, Sragen Kulon, Sragen Regency who are members of the social gathering of neighborhoods have a lot of free time. The problem was that they need additional income from their own home business which could be part-time besides their main duties as a housewife. Salted eggs of various flavors were salted eggs which were given additional flavors, that was the taste of soto, onion, durian, curry, spicy, chocolate, and strawberry. It was hoped that with the diversification of salted eggs, it can increase the target of consumers, especially children, and children can more easily obtain sources of animal protein because they like eating eggs. Eggs that were salted and made of various flavors were duck eggs, chicken eggs and quail eggs. Community service activities include counseling activities, the practice of making salted eggs, the practice of making salted eggs of various flavors, simple bookkeeping, packaging and marketing of products. This community service activities was useful for increasing the knowledge and utilizing their free time of housewives in Mojomulyo. Through this activity, the abilities and skills of housewives in Mojomulyo have increased and were expected to be economically independent.

Abstract

Application of Floating Catfish Pellet Technology as a Solution for Utilizing Black Soldier Fly Larvae at Mazgot BSF Boyolali Business Partners. The black soldier fly (BSF) raised by a business partner Mazgot BSF Boyolali is an effort that exists to solve the problem of organic waste. However, the high production of BSF maggots has become a challenge for partners to find alternative ways to take advantage of the maggot. The application of feed technology based on BSF maggot can increase business productivity because BSF raising is not only aid for overcoming the problem of organic waste, but it can be used as a source of feed ingredients as well. The purpose of the service activity is to provide assistance in the application of fish pellet feed technology (floating fish pellet) as a solution to the use of BSF maggot. This activity was conducted by giving a mentoring of feed technology application based on BSF maggots including selection of raw feed materials, feed processing, and physical measurement of feed as well. The result of this activity showed that partners are able to formulate fish pellet based on available feed ingredients approach to the chemical content of feed ingredients and fish nutrient needs. The content of fish feed has complied with the SNI for catfish feed including crude protein 35.25%; crude fat 13.94%; crude fiber 6.37%; ash 11.43%; BETN 26.26%; and 1409.58 kcal/kg energy. The resulting physical quality is also categorized as good including buoyancy reaching 1 – 2 hours and good stability.
