Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the Indonesian government's public policies in handling Covid-19 through a religious approach, especially through Islamic councelors. The purpose of this study is to explain the implementation of government policies in handling Covid-19 from the religious aspect carried out by Islamic councelors in Indonesia. This descriptive-analytical qualitative research uses videos published by Islamic councelors related to the handling of Covid-19 on Youtube media in April 2020 - March 2021 as the main source. Data analysis uses inductive method with the perspective of public policy implementation. The results of this study show that the implementation of the Indonesian government's policies regarding the handling of Covid-19, especially with a religious approach through Islamic councelors, has so far been carried out with various activities and socialization offline and online including through Youtube videos from various regions in Indonesia. The implementations of the Covid-19 handling policy carried out by Islamic councelors have covered basic matters based on several existing policies. The works of Islamic councelors have greatly contributed to the handling of Covid-19 in the field of religious matters, however Islamic councelors still need encouragement from the government to enhance the capacity to use social media, digital technology, media literacy, and digital literacy to reach wider benefits particularly during the pandemic.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tindakan sosial keterlibatan perempuan dalam jaringan dan aksi terorisme di Indonesia. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif analitik dengan sumber utama data dari tiga perempuan yang terlibat dalam jaringan dan aksi terorisme yaitu surat dakwaan di pengadilan dan beberapa penelitian terdahulu dari jurnal dan media online dengan analisis perspektif tindakan sosial dari Marx Weber. Berdasarkan penelitian terhadap tiga perempuan pendukung ISIS dalam artikel ini menunjukan bahwa para perempuan yang terlibat terorisme memiliki beragam faktor dan motivasi untuk terlibat terorisme dan beragam peran dan fungsi dalam jaringan dan aksi terorisme mulai dari pendukung secara tidak langsung, pendukung secara langsung sampai pelaku bom bunuh diri. Dalam tindakan sosial keterlibatan perempuan dalam terorisme dipengaruhi oleh agensi dan stuktur yang melingkupinya. Dilihat dari agensinya, keterlibatan mereka bersifat aktif, sukarela, dan langsung berdasarkan kehendak pribadi untuk mencapai tujuannya. Sedangkan struktur sosial utama yang mempengaruhi keterlibatan mereka secara langsung pada jaringan dan aksi terorisme adalah komitmen baiat mereka terhadap ISIS yang sejalan dengan pemahaman keagamaan dan tujuan mereka.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the efforts and contributions made by the Government of Indonesia in assisting the peace process in Afghanistan. This study focuses on peacebuilding efforts undertaken by the Government of Indonesia for Afghanistan. This qualitative research with literature studies explains that the peace process in Afghanistan has been going on for a long time, as the conflict has occurred and has involved many parties. The peace process in Afghanistan involves the United Nations (UN), Afghanistan's neighboring countries, major countries, and other international communities including Indonesia. Indonesia's role in the Afghan peace process is not only by garnering support from the international community to continue to help peace in Afghanistan, but also primarily through peace-building through cooperation in the development and capacity building of the government and the people of Afghanistan. Indonesia's efforts to promote peace in Afghanistan also have the support of the international and domestic Afghan community. Peace-building efforts through various capacity building programs in several fields carried out by Indonesia are one of the important steps as a strategy to prevent conflict from returning and which are oriented towards sustainable and long-term peace building in post-conflict Afghanistan. This is Indonesia's contribution to helping create Afghanistan as a safe, democratic and prosperous country as well as for world peace.

Abstract

This research examines the Flight Information Region (FIR) boundary adjustment between Indonesia and Singapore that affects Indonesia's air navigation sovereignty. Various efforts have been made by Indonesia to take over control of the FIR from Singapore, until finally reaching an agreement in adjusting the FIR boundary in 2022. However, in taking over the FIR, Indonesia faced problems, namely the difficulty of Indonesia taking over the management of the FIR which was previously managed by Singapore, as well as challenges in meeting international standards in FIR management. Although the agreement in adjusting the FIR boundary has been agreed, until now the effort has not achieved the expected results in realizing air navigation sovereignty in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how FIR boundary adjustment can improve Indonesia's air traffic management, national security and economic growth. Obstacles include sovereignty issues, international air traffic management standards, and diplomacy between countries. This research uses the policy analysis method by collecting primary and secondary data to analyze the agreement reached in 2022. The results of this study show that the 2022 Indonesia-Singapore FIR adjustment agreement has not fully guaranteed Indonesia's air navigation sovereignty, but this agreement provides significant progress in Indonesian territory. The implications of the results of this study include improving air traffic efficiency and strengthening Indonesia's sovereignty over its airspace, which can also provide insights for future foreign policy and international cooperation.
