Abstract

Every object that floats in the water will have oscillation motion. This oscillation motion is defined as the motion of an alternating object around the equilibrium point with the same path and occurs periodically that is repeated over the same time span. Fishing vessel pompong that operate in the sea will encounter uncertain conditions caused by the force from the outside and the force from of the ship itself. In general, the fishing vessel of pompong in Bengkalis area made of from wood in this study are planning a ship model with a base material using high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic with the main size of ship L = 8.8 m; B = 1.56 m; H = 1.05 m; and T = 06 m. The shape modeling of ship by using maxsurf then the evaluation of seakeeping by using seakeeper to find out the response of hull model to the wave of heave, roll, pitch movement and wave spectrum. Evaluation seakeeping of vessel conducted on two condition that is motionless condition and moving with speed 5 knot. On motionless condition the highest RAO of heave value is 1,362 at an angle of 900, the highest RAO of roll value of 6,674 at an angle of 900, the highest RAO of pitch value of 1.271 at the angle 00 and the wave spectrum at the angles 00, 450, 900 and 1350 have the same value with value of 0,488 rad/s. while at 5 knots the highest RAO of heave value is 1,283 at an angle of 900, the highest RAO of roll value of 6,668 at an angle of 900, the highest RAO of pitch value of 1,193 at an angle of 00 and the wave spectrum at an angle of 00 have the highest value reach out a value 4,61 rad/s.

Abstract

Abstrak— Pemerintah Indonesia khususnya TNI AL mengalami tantangan besar dalam menjaga, mengawasi serta mempertahankan keamanan Nasional. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hal tersebut yaitu dengan mengembangkan Umanned Surface Vehicle (USV) atau dikenal dengan sebutan kapal tanpa awak. Kapal ini difungsikan sebagai kapal serbu atau kapal penghancur target sasaran karena dipersenjatai dengan senapan. Dalam skripsi ini dilakukan perencanaan Unmanned Surface vehicle (USV) dengan ukuran L = 3 m, B = 1.2 m T = 0.36 m, H = 0.8 m, Vs = 35 knot. Hasil dari penyelesaian berupa rancangan Lines plan, General arrangement, tahanan kapal dan stabilitas yang optimal.s

Abstract

Abstract¾Generally vessels of pompong are made from wood. In this era, wood for shipbuilding is difficult to obtain. So, it is necessary to find an alternative material as a substitute for wood. High density polyethylene (HDPE) can be used as of material for shipbuilding because it has advantages such as heat resistant, corrosion resistant and has a long durability. Size vessels with a length of (L) = 8.8 meters, breadth (B) = 1.56 meters, height (H) = 1.05 meters and draft (T) = 0.6 meters which makes the design shape of the vessel of pompong HDPE plastic. The vessel of the pompong plastic has a stability of GZ value of 0.381 meters on the heel of 60 degrees and has a resistance of 0.74 kilonewtons  at a speed of 5 knots.

Abstract

For residents who live in coastal areas, most of them are engaged in traditional vessels which are generally made of wood. over time wood materials are increasingly difficult to obtain. Most of the Bengkalis people have known about fiberglass material as an alternative for construction of vessels, but the application of fiberglass material is only a small while other fishermen still use wood as their shipbuilding material. Based on these matters, it is necessary to evaluate and analyze related to the interests and constraints of Bengkalis fishermen on fiberglass material as a substitute for wood materials in shipbuilding. by distributing questionnaires to the fishing community and analyzing by using AHP (Analythic Hierarchy Process), the priority constraints that become problems for the fishing community of Bengkalis island are "cost of building fiberglass vessels" with a value 30% and the next problem is "availability of materials fiberglass "with a value 12%.

Abstract

Piping installation is a unified series of pipes or systems to drain fluid to the desired place by using pipes according to specifications. The piping system is usually equipped with components such as valves, flanges, elbows, branches, nozzles, reducers, supports, insulation and others. The Department of Marine Engineering is one of the majors at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic with facilities and infrastructure, one of which is Pipe and Plate Workshop. The production activities and the teaching and learning process cannot be separated from the plate cutting and painting processes that require compressed air and O2. For the effectiveness of the activities in the Pipe and Plate Workshop, a system for installing compressed air and O2 is carried out. Then the pipe installation system is tested based on the needs of the work carried out at the Pipe and Plate Workshop. Based on the test results on the air pipe installation system, the pressure drop at the outlet valve to the inlet pressure is obtained, namely outlet 1 of 0.1 bar, outlet 2 of 0.3 bar and outlet 3 of 0.4 bar. For the O2 pipe installation system, it is found that the output pressure drop (outlet) to the inlet pressure is large, namely outlet 1 of 0.38 kg/cm2 and outlet 2 of 0.51 kg/cm2.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Gurdi tool angle on delamination in composite laminates in the formation of delaminations. The spacing of the selected reinforcing fibers was 2.4 and 6 mm in a composite laminate of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymer matrix with reinforcing fibers from pineapple leaves. The method used in composite fabrication is hand lay-up, namely by direct casting on three layers of fiber that has been woven and tied to the sides of the mold. For cutting speed, Vf 72 mm / min, using a chisel with a diameter of 8 mm with a tool angle of 70o and 118o. Delamination was determined using the Feda method. The delamination sections were observed using a digital microscope and then processed using AutoCAD to measure Dmax and Ad. The delamination ratio in the top hole for the tool diameter of 8mm with a 70° angle at the variation of the distance of 2 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm were 1.268, 1.224 and 1.192 for the bottom hole were 1.078, 1.042 and 1.029, respectively. Meanwhile, the ratio of delamination in the upper hole for a tool diameter of 8mm with an angle of 118° at a distance variation of 2mm, 4mm and 6mm were 1.194, 1.194, 1.158 for the bottom hole, respectively, 1.046, 1.042 and 1.038.
