Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine how the influence of organizing a cultural event called Sriwijaya Festival, on the decision to visit Palembang City through variables of uniqueness, hospitality, symbolism, festive spirit, theme and authenticity. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the independent variable simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on the decision to go to Palembang City. Partially, hospitality and themes have a significant and positive effect on the decision to visit Palembang City, while symbolism and authenticity have no significant and negative effect on the decision-making variables to visit Palembang City. As well as the uniqueness and festive atmosphere has no significant and positive effect on the decision to visit Palembang City. The magnitude of the influence of holding cultural events on the decision to visit Palembang City based on the results of the determination coefficient test is 36.2% and the remaining 63.8% is influenced by other factors which are not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to make Bidadari Waterfall Tourism Object community-based sustainable tourism in Lahat Regency. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis technique in this research is the SWOT analysis. The results of this study obtained a total internal factor of 1.23 and an external factor of 1.29 which means an aggressive policy (growth-oriented strategy). Thus, obtaining four sets of strategies that can be applied to the Bidadari Waterfall Tourism Object includes Sustainable Economy: The quality of the tourism products offered by the community/managers such as rock climbing on the Bidadari Waterfall Wall to attract tourists and Cooperation between the community and managers to become tour guides to increase the income of the local community and managers. Sustainable Social: The polite attitude of the community to show hospitality to tourists visiting Bidadari Waterfall and residents who use local languages ​​can maintain the culture and traditions of Karang Dalam Village. Sustainable Environment: People who maintain biodiversity can maintain their ecosystem to attract tourists. Thus, managers and the community must work together with the local government to develop Bidadari Waterfall Tourism Object as sustainable tourism in Lahat Regency based on the dimensions of sustainable economic, socially sustainable, and environmentally sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Usaha keripik ubi Samirah Jambi memulai usahanya sejak tahun 2007 pemasaran keripik dilakukan dengan cara tatap muka langsung ke pembeli langganan di sekolah-sekolah, warung-warung, beberapa penjual bakso disekitar wilayah kelurahan Talang Banjar kota Jambi saja. Dengan terjadinya penurunan penjualan signifikan yang terjadi pada tiga tahun terakhir, mulai dari tahun 2020 hingga tahun 2022 tentunya mempengaruhi jumlah pendapatan yang diterima usaha keripik ubi Samirah. Masalah yang dihadapi usaha keripik ubi Samirah ini akan sulit teratasi bila tidak dilakukan beberapa pembenahan mulai dari kemasan, luas wilayah pemasaran dan promosi yang dilakukan hanya dari mulut ke mulut atau sistem komunikasi Word of Mouth (WOM), karena usaha keripik ubi sejenis lainnya yang merupakan pesaing usaha keripik ubi Samirah tampilan kemasan keripiknya lebih baik, luas wilayah pemasaran dan jangkauan promosinya lebih luas karena sudah menerapkan pemasaran digital dengan penjualan secara online. Berdasarkan masalah yang dihadapi oleh usaha keripik ubi Samirah, maka dilakukan pembenahan mulai dari perbaikan kemasan keripik ubi yang lebih menarik yang disertai keterangan komposisi bahan, berat bersih dan keterangan rasa keripik ubi. Untuk kendala jangkauan wilayah pemasaran dan promosi solusi yang diambil adalah dengan menggunakan media sosial Instagram.
