Abstract

In Indonesian language, the study of suffix “–an” has been widely practiced by linguists, as if the study of suffix “–an” has been completed and there was no problem. Behind that, the rule of certainty about the suffix “–an” has not been convincingly revealed, wheater it is related to necessity, probability, and certainty.Through typology studies can be found the rules of certainity suffix “–an”. Surely, there will be found three rues: first the rule of suffix “–an”, second the rule of stability of the suffix “–an”, and third the rule of the suffix “–an” position on the sentence relation. Further findings on setencial relations: the presence of the suffix -an determined by verbal form. In relation S-V-O suffix -an always occupy the argument. Suffix -an have the ability to change all categorical word into a noun category except the category of adverbs.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe lingual aspects that strengthen the speech of the clergy of Java Coastal community in Semarang City. This greeting remarks as a glue of the socioal harmony and horizontal conflict absorbers, as well as a feature of uniqueness in the connection of social intimacy in the coastal region.Research location in Semarang City. Selection of respondents and informants using purposive sampling system. Data collection methods were conducted through structured interviews, in-depth interviews, and focus group discs. The method of data analysis using the separation of components on speech by greeting sad lingual aspects contained in the speech.There are three lingual aspects that influence the power of speech:  speech sauce, variety, and formIntisariTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan aspek lingual yang memperkuat tuturan tegur-sapa social masyarakat Jawa Pesisir di Kota Semarang.  Tuturan bertegur-sapa ini sebagai perekat harmoni sosioal dan peredam konflik horizontal, sekaligus sebagai fitur keunikan dalam pertalian keakraban sosial di wilayah pesisiran.  Lokasi penelitian di Kota Semarang. Pemilihan responden dan informan menggunakan sistem purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur, wawancara  mendalam, dan focus group discus.Metode analisis data menggunakan pemilahan komponen pada tuturan bertegur-sapa melalui aspek-aspek lingual yang terdapat pada tuturan. Ditemukan tiga aspek lingual yang mempengaruhi kekuatan tuturan bertegur sapa social, yakni kecap ujaran,ragam, dan bentuk.

Abstract

The uniqueness of Javanese society, especially the Javanese people north coast of Central Java is a way of looking at the values of life. One of the values of the life of the Javanese people is attached to traditional household appliances. Traditional tools have lexical meanings, cultural meanings, and philosophical values. These three components are captured in the name of the equipment. Traditional tools of coastal Javanese society gradually began to be abandoned by their owners and began to be replaced with modern equipment. As a result, inherent philosophical values begin to be forgotten. Research location in Demak Regency. Data collection methods used were observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions.The data analysis method used is a description of the lexical component: the description of the lexical meaning and cultural meaning.Description of internal culture: elaboration of philosophical values.Research findings: each traditional equipment name has a correlation between the lexical meaning of cultural meaning, and cultural meaning of its philosophical value.The traditional equipment function of the coastal Javanese community is attached to referents. Philosophical values are attached to references.

Abstract

The research aims is to determine the strength and the role of families, especially the families of the village who were used Javanese Language. Nowadays, the Javanese language the developed is the reflection of family concern, especially the role of parents in inheriting the use of Javanese Language (normative-prescriptive).  The research location is in Semarang City. The method that used to obtain data was the method refer to: observation, record, and method of proficient: participant, interviews. Data analysis used descriptive-quantitative method, i.e. Ervin-Tripp alternation rule (1972). The result of this research that the role of family is very influential on the mastery and use of Javanese Language, as well as coloring the Javanese Language on the present-day. The family has three main roles, namely (1) the gateway to the introduction of the Javanese Language, (2) the gateway to learning Javanese Language, and (3) the gateway to preservation of Javanese.
