Abstract

This study discusses the design of a proportional-integral (PI) controller with a three-phase traction motor as the plant to be controlled. The modulation technique to control the switching on the rectifier uses space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) where the three-phase current and voltage are represented in rotating synchronous coordinates. The control strategy, namely vector control, is used to support the SVPWM modulation technique to provide optimal DC voltage output. Optimal controller design is obtained by tuning the gain parameters of the cascade of speed, flux, and torque controllers using the optimum symmetrical method. The test was carried out by simulating the MATLAB/Simulink software to show the speed stability of a three-phase traction motor. Three-phase traction motor produces an output speed of 158 rad/s, reaches a steady state condition of 0.275 seconds, there is no overshoot, Steady State error is 0.64%. Abstract

Iron plates in the industry must go through a forming process such as cutting before being used as needed. One of the machines that can be used in cutting iron plates is CNC (Computer Numerical Control). However, the cost of CNC is quite expensive that small industries in particular cannot afford to use these machines. The purpose of this research is to design a prototype dual axis iron plate cutter that uses the ESP-32 microcontroller as a control center that can integrate with the RemoteXY application on a smartphone. This research will be carried out by designing the assembly of electronic sub-components supporting the system, designing the microcontroller algorithm, and designing the RemoteXY application that is used to communicate with the system. Based on the test, the design of the tool made complies with the expected specifications where the tool is able to simulate cutting iron plates in line shapes with automatic or manual modes. On the rotary encoder, the distance reading error was 0.577% for X axis and 0.7109% for Y axis. Both motors are able to function properly with a load voltage close to 50% of the 17-volt input voltage, namely 6.764 volts with load and 8.586 volts without load For the X axis and 7.07 volts with load and 8.515 volts without load for the Y axis. the input and output circuits can work as they should to receive input and control the output. The user interface used using RemoteXY also works well in accepting input, managing output, and using all the features created. Keywords: ESP-32, RemoteXY, Iron Plate, Rotary Encoder, DC Motor

Abstract

Rectifiers are increasingly being used in various applications such as power supplies for microelectronics, household electrical equipment, battery charging, power conversion in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems, and so on. Conventional rectifiers typically use diodes, which are uncontrolled rectifiers that have a disadvantage of producing inflexible output voltage since the output voltage cannot be regulated. Therefore, there is a need for controlled rectifiers, namely three-phase PWM rectifiers, which convert AC voltage into DC voltage with higher output voltage than the input voltage, and the output voltage can be adjusted according to specific requirements. This research discusses the comparison of PI controller design in the sdomain and z-domain with pulse width modulation (PWM) three-phase rectifier as the plant to be controlled.

Abstract

In wiring harness production activities there are 4 production models and 82 production components, some of which have similarities and differences in components. This affects production activities that can trigger errors in the production of goods that are not in accordance with specifications which are generally caused by errors in taking production components. In September 2022 there were 358 wiring harness defective products, of which 132 defective products were caused by errors ininserting the wire into the connector. With this problem, it is necessary to design a method to reduce the yield of defective products. Digital picking system based on Arduino Mega 2560 is designed as a production material management method in the final assembly wiring harness line area. The results of the application of the digital picking system in October obtained 70 units of defective products. Defective products decreased from 358 units in September to 70 units in October. Index Terms—defect product, digital picking system, wiring harness.
