Abstract

This research based on the assumption that the media helps to establish the reality of real life in the community. The reality rises because of media workers process language. Associated with it, TVRI of West Sumatra, which has existed in this region, was not fully provide enough space in the broadcast activities to represent Minangkabau culture. It happened because of three things, which is associated with the processes, strategies and discourse to be fought in the broadcast television. The method used in this study is a content analysis with a qualitative approach, in reading the manuscript broadcast program, watching the programs and interviewing the producers and the audience with accidental sampling. Theory of agenda setting theory is used to understand and read the data. This study even found in the process and strategy, the programs do not begin with research of needs and viewers, because it was said the programs were patterned on the package of programs from several years ago. Whereas the values behind the broadcast programs of TVRI West Sumatera are the value of deliberation, togetherness and express egalitarian society

Abstract

Islamic press in the growth and development can be seen in two forms, namely the press that sow Islam as Islam rubric, and the press that highlight Islam as breath, spirit, and commitment. Islamic conference that is shows the featuring Islam as rubric, usually intended as a means of propaganda. Islamic press is usually issued by Islamic institutions, such as community organizations, foundations, and institutions of Islamic education. While the Islamic press present Islam as breath, spirit, and commitment are managed by people who have a concern and commitment to the cause of Islam. Islamic press must be able to act as guardians of Islamic culture that is reliable, and able to become creators of culture in the professional intelligentsia

Abstract

Cell phones have become one of the requirements for the wider community. Today all people in the world can be connected by a modern communication tool that is supported by the development of sophisticated media and modern communication. One of the media such as the mobile phone is now better known as "smart phones". The rise of smart phone usage among teens sparked a wide range of issues related to individual behavior and social behavior of adolescents themselves. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The technique of collecting data was taken with a total sampling was 28 people. The data collection techniques used was observation, interviews and focus group discussion. Data were analyzed through several stages: among other subjects through testing credibility, authenticity, triangulation analysis, and intersubjectivity analysis. From the research that has been conducted showed that the use of smart phones in adolescents can meet their needs. Fulfillment of requirements obtained from the use of smart phones in the range of cognitive needs, affective needs, personal integrative needs and requirements as well as the social integrative needs to release tension. Fulfillment of various needs in the above cause a variety of effects, both positive and negative.
