Abstract

Muslim intellectual figures argue that the current crisis of modern society is Western education is based on a more materialistic and secularistic view of world, which considers that education is not to make human beings wise, it is to recognize their respective positions in the reality of order and view reality as something that is materially meaningful to humans, and therefore human relations with the reality of reality are exploitative rather than harmonious. This modern humanitarian crisis was criticized by schoolars who later led to the post-modernism. Postmodernism offers a new mind that is tolerant of plurality, demolition and locality. Post-modernism also does not get a way out to unravel the humanitarian crisis. So, many parties try to turn back to religion. One Muslim scholar who was concerned about trying to find a solution to the humanitarian crisis was Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. Al-Faruqi argued that modern knowledge gave rise to contradictions of revelation and reason among Muslims. The Separating thoughts from action, as well as the existence of cultural and religious dualism. Therefore, al-Faruqi argued that the need for Islamization of knowledge and efforts was moving from monotheism. This means that Islamic knowledge always emphasizes the unity of the universe, the unity of truth and knowledge and the unity of life.

Abstract

The hegemonic challenges of Western globalization have caused serious impacts on the future of Islamic education. This reality must be realized by Muslims and more specifically those involved in the world of education. For this reason, there is an anticipatory and alternative tactical and strategic step to free themselves from the hegemonic grip of Western globalization. The conception of Islamic model education does not only see education as an attempt to "educate" only (intellectual education, intelligence), but in line with the Islamic concept of human beings and their essence of existence. Therefore, the formulation of the vision, mission and objectives of Islamic education is expected to be more problematic, strategic, anticipatory, touch the application aspects and can touch the needs of the community or use of graduates. That is, Islamic education seeks to build people and society as a whole and thoroughly (insan kamil) in all aspects of a cultured and civilized life that is reflected in the lives of pious and faithful people, democratic and independent, knowledgeable, skilled, work ethic and professional, pious charity, personality, graceful morality and moral character, capable of innovation and access to change and competitive and cooperative abilities in the global era and local thinking in obtaining world welfare and the hereafter.

Abstract

Multicultural education was born in different parts of the world not in a vacuum, it was born because of the reality of multiculturalism that should exist. A struggle for equality and equality, democracy and human rights. The process of democratization usually requires recognition of human rights that do not distinguish human differences over skin color, religion, customs, culture or gender. The concept of multicultural education within the framework of Islamic education, can be realized with a long and continuous business process and efforts. Both are highly relevant and accommodating to issues of pluralism and democracy. This can be traced from the basic principles of multicultural education and Islamic education which are very relevant. Both are highly regarded for human rights and have a strong commitment to realize it. The implementation of multicultural Islamic education can be realized not only in the realm of formal education an-sich, it can take place in non-formal education, family and the wider community. Of course, with a long and sustainable process in addition to the improvement and preparation of a more comprehensive system in the curriculum, infrastructures, learning models to the competence of educators must be adapted to these ideals. Indonesia as a country that has a variety of cultural people in building national and state life needs to develop education that has multicultural insight. Through the principle of "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" as stated in the basis of the state and through multicultural education is expected to achieve a peaceful, harmonious, and upholding the values of humanity as mandated in the constitution.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Peran Kepemimpinan Kyai Dalam Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Sholat Fardlu Berjama’ah Santri Putra Di Pondok Pesantren Siti Nur Sa’adah Di Desa Wonomelati Krembung Sidoarjo. Fokus penelitian ini yang menjadi kajian utama dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) Bagaimanakah peran kepemimpinan kyai dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan sholat fardlu berjama’ah santri putra di pondok pesantren siti nur sa’adah di desa wonomelati krembung sidoarjo? (2) Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan sholat fardlu berjama’ah santri putra di pondok pesantren siti nur sa’adah di desa wonomelati krembung sidoarjo? Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepemimpinan kyai dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan sholat fardlu berjama’ah santri putra di pondok pesantren siti nur sa’adah di desa wonomelati krembung sidoarjo (2) Untuk mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat yanng dialami oleh kyai dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan sholat fardlu berjama’ah santri putra di pondok pesantren siti nur sa’adah di desa wonomelati krembung sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dan jenis penelitian kualitatif lapangan. Sedangkan untuk pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk analisisnya, peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif intraktif yaitu merupakan penelitian yang mendalam dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data langsung dari orang dalam lingkungan alamiah. Setelah peneliti mengkaji dan meneliti maka dapat disimpulkan peran kepemimpinan kyai sangat membawa nilai positif. Dengan hal ini hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan sholat fardlu berjama’ah santri putra adalah baik, dalam artian peran kepemimpinan kyai untuk mendisiplinkan santri putra yaitu melakukan koordinasi dan kerjasama yang baik dengan pengurus, memberikan bimbingan dan suri tauladan yang baik, memberikan motivasi dan mendidik serta memberikan arahan, meskipun masih ada santri yang telat mengikuti sholat fardlu’ berjam’ah, hal itu berdampak pada kedisiplinan santri sehingga kurang maksimal, karena ada sebagian santri yang sulit untuk bangun pagi, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, kurangnya kesadaran diri. Maka dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut memungkinkan santri sering terlambat mengikuti sholat fardlu’ berjama’ah. Faktor pendukungnya yaitu berfungsinya komando (perintah) pengasuh, nasehat orang tua, pengurus membagi tugas dengan cara menjadwalkan sholat berjama’ah, pemberian takziran (hukuman), dan adanya kerjasama dalam melatih santri untuk disiplin. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu sarana dan prasarana yang kurang mendukung, kurangnya pengontrolan dan penjagaan keamanan, kurangnya kesadaran pada diri santri yang sulit diatur.
